Gothur could not help but smile. Because another fox entered his home. Activating his vision of the tentacle he watched and followed the intruders.
"Holy sh*t," said Sophia. As she was mesmerized by the interior. Oliver's party walked around with open eyes and saw a beautiful staircase that led left and right along with red and blue gems that covered the walls with chandeliers and amplified the red carpet. The golden white rails that hold, the illusory sparkling dust captivated the eyes well giving a hint of ancient vibes.
Oliver's team had no time to continue to be captivated. They heard footsteps walking in. Turning around they saw Mark and the king with 2 other men.
Oliver was shocked. As he contorted his face in displease. Mark smiled, nodding at him in a friendly jester. The king could not help but laugh as he remarked " Did you think we would find this place, Oliver."
" Even if I'm greedy, was there truly a need to insult me like that Oliver."
Mark interrupted and said, " That was a good speech, but let's leave that in the past we both came here to become a divinity holder did we not?"
Oliver nodded as everyone focused on the dungeon they just entered. Oliver couldn't help but say " Whoever kills the Monster gets it."
Everyone nodded as they felt a monster coming. Oliver gripped his spear tightly as he calmed his breathing. Concentrating he released his aura of blue out.
The dungeon went silent as everyone but one manifested their aura. Each with different colors reflecting their soul.
The King couldn't manifest his aura at all. But what truly made him mad was the fact that his stepdaughter could do it. Her sliver long hair matching the white priestess uniform was Beautiful by itself. Even with the black symbolic text that covered half of her face. The pure white aura with a hint of purple in it made him feel like a failure. The fact that this kid would be blessed with a colored aura gave him a sense of realization that she was superior to him.
Colored aura is the fact. That your name is going to be or is on The Fate Definer Text. Not much is known about the Definer. Only those who are named in the fated cycle are blessed to become a divinity holder.
Coming to that fact. The king was covered with cold sweat. But after looking at Mark he quickly calmed down.
Mark's aura was yellow. Pure yellow. Not one with hints, but a full yellow-colored aura. Sensing the gazes Mark smiled, as he yellowed out to everyone to pay attention to a vestige.
In the staircase, there stood a tall skinny homolid monster with large arms with horns that protruded from its mouth and its back. Its body was half corroded as bones, and ribs were visible. Green pus gushed out as it smiled sinisterly.
Walking slowly as he tilted its head back and forth it gave out an aura of a devil. The expression did not change as it only slowly grew larger. The smile was exaggerated. The left-over cheeks it used to have squished together forming a new contorted face, sending chills down everyone's spine.
Every step it made to get down the stairs it made no sound only white fog followed its feet. As it got closer its Height took a drastic change, it was 3 meters on the stairs but now it was 4 to 5 meters in height. But what really stood out was the fact that its arms were longer than that. Almost 6 meters by themself, Mark and Oliver were stunned by the grip of fear and an unofficial vestige Monster.
As it finally made it to the last step. The face that never broke eye contact stopped boggling its head like a rag doll, just freezing there and looking at them. everyone's attention was on it as no sound was made until Mark and Oliver Simultaneously yelled a command. That made their bodies instantly compile dashing backward with every might." Get the hell out of here!"
As everyone dashed back never losing eye contact. The thing broke eye contact as it turned its head at Mark disappearing and reappearing at Mark's side. Its long arm clocked with green Haki strikes down overpowering Mark's aura it slashes off Mark's left arm and disassembles the two men behind Mark like tofu.
Mark rebalanced himself and jumped in the air. Aligning himself in the air he released his aura spreading it around him. he tightened his grip on his blade and clocked it with a yellow aura. sensing the disturbance of his ripples of aura waves clashing with something else.
Mark leaned left nearly escaping the black boned arm from impaling his back. rotating his body, he was now face to face with the vestige monster. Mark Sensed its next move as he dodged its attempt to bite him by using its head as a levitation. Contorting his face in anger Mark twisted his core and body in a vortex manner.
Unleashing his aura of yellow it burned and melted the ground as almost everyone stayed in place as Mark activated his skill. Spiritual gravity, Mark's eyes turned yellow as his hair flared up. Making the vestige monster unable to move Mark used every amount of aura he had left to expand his sword in every direction as the yellow blade twisted like a vortex. Mark yelled out loud as he slashed the right arm of the vestige monster along with its right leg.
as Mark was falling his smile froze, as he looked at the vestige monster leaned back evading the yellow blades meant to decapitate it. It completely abandoned its arm and leg. The vestige monster's face contorted as it still had the audacity to smile sinisterly even though its balance was purely based on its aura's help. It still twisted its unblanched body with its long upper torso. It sent its left arm to impale the failing Mark to his death.
Sense the incoming danger Mark tried to dodge the attack but his body could not move. Face with the reality that everything that was happening was just a second and his mind was only in overdrive due to the insane amount of aura used in the fight. he still had not touched the ground yet. Switching plans, he planned on taking the brute force of the offense attack covering his entire body with aura, but it failed.
Mark's amount of aura was zero. He was no different than being naked. Feeling despair, as the arm was slowly coming his way, he couldn't help but look at the vestige monster. The vestige monster was still smiling its eyes never left Mark's eyes. As it slowly followed Mark's eyes. Mark felt that it could sense his overdrive mind and was just teasing him. As the arm was just inches away from Mark's head, he saw blue light appear from under the leaning monster.

For the first time, the monster's eyes looked at what was under it. In his twisted body, it saw a blue aura and a spear clinched with all its might. Mark was surprised in his face of death, and despair a hero came, and it was none other than Oliver who appeared to be there all along ready for the right moment.
Oliver twisted his core, holding the end of his spear with his left arm. Oliver raises his spear as his right arm grabs and tightly holds it. Clocking the tip of his spear with a blue aura that squirmed around like ocean waves. Oliver lined his killing blow with unbelievable accuracy that a blue line appeared on the vestige monster's neck.
Oliver tightened his hands as he spread his legs and slashed with all his might decapitating the vestige monster and destroying the ground and the walls. The vestige monster's hand meant to kill Mark slowly lost its power as it only grazed Mark in the cheek as he fell and hit the ground.
Mark couldn't get up as he lay there Quilty looking at Oliver. Oliver quickly called Rebecca to come to heal his wounds as everyone quickly snapped awake. Looking at the killed vestige monster they questioned what conspired because all they saw was Mark losing an arm to getting killed along with flashes of green, yellow and blue.
Rebecca grabbed the severed arm as she placed it at the right angle, then quickly used Holy Heal. Mark was feeling along better after getting his arm back. But was still left with zero aura left in him. He still needed a few more hours until he was at his best. Looking at Oliver he got up and walked to him while ignoring Rebecca telling him he needed to rest.
Oliver turned around and looked at Mark. The two were quiet as Mark bowed his head and said, " Thank you for saving my life." Oliver was quite surprised as he could not help but say," Where in a dungeon with unofficial monsters." "How could I let a monster kill the only other vestige 10 warrior other than me in the being of the fight?"
" There's no need to say thank you." "Just don't waste your aura this fast next time." Mark smiled as he said, " I'll keep that in mind, but still thank you." Mark stopped bowing down as he slowly walked back to Rebecca.
Oliver smiled, after explaining to everyone what just happened, and how the monster died everyone was scared shitless by this Monster. Oliver looked at Mark and continued to say. "I believe this vestige monster should belong to Mark because he was fighting this thing one-on-one for a minute."
everyone thought it was fair because after looking at the monster and its terrifying power and Mark's injuries; they all gulped a mouth full of saliva. That was until Mark said " Nah, I think you should take it, Oliver, I'll just get the next one. Oliver was shocked, to him all he did was finish a weak monster that was on its last ropes. Even so, to think that he would give up a vestige core at 10 was shocking. Before Oliver could say anything, King Layman retorted. " Are you mad? Why are you giving up a vestige 10 to Oliver?"
Mark smiled and said, " I could have died if a l fought it alone." "Even though we're in the same realm I lack the experience that comes from death battles." " My only talent is getting lucky ingredients like right now, to play the role of a fake warrior."
"Even if I get this ingredient and become a rank 9." "I'll only get fake power but not a single experience in being a warrior." " I lack the battles I need to have to kill things that are strong." " I've always been lucky with getting my way but now I no longer what strength that isn't truly mine."
King Layman laughed as he said," So you'll give up a chance for divinity to gain combat experiences, is that right?" Mark stopped smiling as he said," Couldn't have said it better."
" Are you sure Mark?" Said Oliver. Mark passed and said, "Yes, I'm sure I'll get the next one."
King Layman was not happy but could not do much. The party thought of leaving but realized that the doors closed at some point. Mark told Oliver to wait for the vestige core and rest before moving forward.
Oliver stood over the corpse of the vestige monster as its body started giving off black light as it dissolved and morphed until a green core was formed as the liquid inside moved around like waves. The size of the core was only that of a hand but the energy and spirituality in it looked limitless. Oliver could not help but smile and say out loud. " Definitely a mid-rank vestige core."
After holding onto the core Oliver felt a sense of belonging to the stars as he felt invisible gazes piercing his soul orb as they looked at him. But what stood out most was not the pain or a sense of belonging. It was the blue star that started morphing into an orb slowly getting closer. When the orb was close to Oliver, he felt a feeling of hunger ready to eat and absorb the star-like orb. Loses his mind he slowly calmed himself as information entered his mind.
After getting the information Oliver knew where he was at. He now stands at the peak of life and death for humans. The dream he wanted was here. In the divinity sea, everyone gets a seal that holds the power they want. No one can Pick the seal they want because the soul is the only one who came to pick what is best for your destiny.
Knowing this meant Oliver was close to his dream now all he needs is a rank 10 vestige core of any rank. And to make it into a potion for him to consume. Having the fate destiny disappear. Oliver returned to reality well still holding the vestige core.
As the fate of destiny showed Oliver a pathway to divinity, he was more than ready to kill anything. But first, he needs to calm down and rest, his last attack used the rare skill destiny alignment. Using 40% of his aura to kill a mid-rank vestige 10 is good. But the fact is that it already lost an arm and a leg from Mark who had to use 100% of his aura to leave just that much damage. Then that means that it took 140% aura from two people who were one lower realm stronger than it.
Oliver realized that vestige monsters at 10 rank were even more terrifying than humans at the same rank. It was a fact, that was just proven. To vestige monsters, they always put their life on the line every day. They kill every day for survival, they constantly improve their fighting power with death battles from birth. there not your average humans with only 5 years of combat experience. They are born weapons ready to kill anything.
Oliver realized Mark's decision on a deeper level after coming to this realization. Having over a decade of combat experience Oliver sign in relief as he planned to rest and continue.
Oliver and his party went up the staircase and found a small room full of chairs and beds. Oliver decided to rest in here until Mark and he got three auras replenished.
Sophia and Jack along with Helt decided to Guard the door for redemption because they felt useless in the last fight.
Oliver calmed his breathing as Mark followed as well.
" Not bad, don't you think My lord?"
Lisa smiled as she said in a childish voice. Gothur was quite shocked that they could kill it so quickly even if Mark was in overdrive to cut it was insane.
Gothur looked at Lisa and replied, " Was that devil walker the surprise you wanted to show me?" Lisa smiled and said," No, and yes." "It's not a normal Devil walker I used the degeneration blob you gave me and slowly morphed it into a corrupted devil walker."
Lisa's eyes made contact with Gothur's. her eyes were sparkling ready for a compliment from her lord for all the good, work she's done. Gothur didn't wish for her to cry like last time because he didn't compliment her for making the dungeon into a 5 -star-pent house.
"Good job Lisa, thank you for everything."
Lisa's eyes watered up as she cried saying, "My lord thanked me." Gothur was no longer Surprised as he asked her to come over. She walked over still crying. Gothur cleaned her tears and padded her head messing her hair as he said," Quite crying, I'll always thank you for doing something for me."
Lisa stopped crying as Gothur continued to comfort her. Her eyes were puffy from all the crying. Gother stopped messing her hair as he said," How about I continue to watch the show you made for me ok Lisa?'
Lisa nodded as she was planning to go back to her seat. But then Gothur jester her to sit on the throne armrest. Lisa was shocked as she could speak.
Gother stopped his jester as he said," It's fine just set, I'm trying to watch." Lisa stopped moving as she quickly sat on the throne armrest with a red face and a smile.
