Chapter 7: New Resolve

The group of four with a new addition, Leila, exited the Inn before the keen looking customers approached them and questioning about the happening of this morning.

Aleg felt the most troubled, the hardship he had endured this early were a bit too much for him. The clinginess of Annie was destroying the attraction towards her, he felt in the beginning. It's not like they were a couple or anything, thus there was no reason for Annie to act this jealous. The only problem he imagined could be, was a previous experience Annie had, before she entered the Hell realm. Nonetheless there was no reason to be bothered by it, since all he had to do, was to show Annie who the Boss was. "Macho gone be conquering the world.", he inwardly thought.

"What was laying on my tongue the whole time was, where did you get those awesome black clothes with a silver dragon inscribed on them?", asked Gavro wondering.

"Remember when I robbed that imp, well he gave me enough money to afford the fanciest clothes in the shop.", replied Aleg.

"I must admit it looks good on you.", said Annie and Leila in unison.

"Thanks, anyway we should be getting some potions of the imps while we are at it." answered Aleg.

Thus " Team Aleg " moved to the merchant's street and started buying the goods out. Lots of stamina and flying potions were bought, just in case some unpredictable events would happen all of a sudden. Being prepared is always the best way to start a long journey towards the City of Makolar. " Safety's the number one priority!", babbled Aleg proudly.

While the others were busy checking out all the other merchant's good Aleg approached the goblin, who had offered him that very rare amulet. However he still couldn't afford to buy that amulet, he still had to check out all the wares he had to offer. One item was actually peeking his interest, The amulet of fury, doubled his wrath he felt, once he wore it. The only problem was, if he got annoyed and felt slightly irritated he could actually start raging if he tried to suppress the anger. Basically speaking, the emotional stability wasn't warranted while wearing the amulet of fury. " It's way to rare to not buy it and the price is kind of fair for only 4000 blagos, there's nothing to complaing about, since the power spike of the Pain of the Tormented would be doubled. Alright, I'll buy it.", Aleg decided and agreed to buy it off the goblin.

"My lord, have a bloody day and thanks for the purchase!", said the goblin merchant smiling.

The others finished taking a look at all the other goods, but most of the stuff being offered was pretty useless. Apart from Leila buying some sapphire-like looking earrings, the others didn't buy anything.

Right before they were about to exit the city a blue-skinned demon approached them and warned them about the dangers ahead. Most likely the only reason he warned them, was because of the human souls Gavro and Annie, who decided to tag along. Leaving Petoskrim was a 99% chance of the human souls not to survive.

"Are you sure you wanna tag along with us Annie, it will be very dangerous?", asked her Aleg.

-" Yes, I am sure. I decided to follow you even if you decide to go to the ends of Hell."

"It was kind of cute, however sometimes the obsessive behaviour she showed on a few occasions were a little turn off.", thought Aleg continuing, " whatever, if she doesn't let me do her I can always have that succubus. Maaaan she's just way too hot to resist her. I don't think I will manage those two weeks without sneaking into her bed, just to see Leila's reaction."

Since they all made up their mind to tag along with Aleg, they exited the city bearing the warnings of the guard in mind. They didn't walk far away from the city, since Aleg had to learn that technique.

"Here should be far enough.", mentioned Gavro, while walking off the stone path that connected one city to another. They followed Gavro into the woods, where he set up the newly bought tent. Leila was kind enough to put protection magic around the tent just to make sure no wood demons or the like would attack them. Nobody was keen on a full scale attack from Treants. Treants were Tree demons, who attacked intruders stepping into their territory.

Once everything was prepared, Hell's sky turned from a blood red color into the cloak of nothingness. While Aleg and the women watched the sky change his colours , Gavro started talking:" The sky colour changes from a red shine to a black one, similar like the sky on earth. However it has nothing to do with the sun. The colour change indicates the periodic cycle of the purgatory, where the raging flames set the sinners ablaze and afterwards the time of regret turns the sky black. This cyrcle repeats itself every 12 hours. Bear in mind though, there is no purgatory for people coming directly to hell. Only people, who have sinned and want to go to Heaven, have to do this procedure. Basically the sky you see up there belongs to God, the ruler of Heavens. He couldn't have such a terrific sight in Heavens, so what did he obviously do? He fucking put his purgatory right above the border of Hell."

The amulet of fury Aleg wore, made Aleg shout:" THIS FUCKER, GOD!"

All turned to Aleg, unused to his sudden outburst and they asked him if something was wrong.

Annie was kind of scared, but Leila actually got turned on by that behavior thinking:" Mmhmmm , that's 's how a real man should behave." She imagined how, she would push him onto her bed, while enjoying the worldly pleasures her race loved to practice. Unfortunately she promised Annie not to lay a finger on Aleg, but then again... Have you ever seen a demon keep his promise?

"It is time, master..", Gavro spoke in the tent, looking more like a small house.

Gavro and Aleg were about to leave the tent and then Aleg was once stopped by Annie's clinginess.

"Where are you going this late at night, you should stay indoors and wait for Leila and I to prepare dinner." said Annie while rushing forward to grab Aleg's hand.

The amulet of fury once reacted with Aleg trying to suppress his emotions. He shouted:" SHUT UP WOMAN! WHO ARE YOU TO COMMAND ME AROUND!" and he slapped Annie across her left cheek.

Thus they left the shocked Annie on the floor, that had been holding her cheek with both hands trying to comprehend the situation, stamping out of the tent.

"Indeed a good choice master, hohohoho, sometimes you have to show the women, who actually wears the pants, hohohoho."

Aleg was still a bit concerned about hitting Annie, however she had it coming. She has been acting like her lover or something, even though they only meet like a day ago and the reason she said he could fuck her was because of the reward for saving her. There were no obligations from his side, since all he did was accept the reward he had been offered. He did not ask for any responsibilities from his side nor the clinginess from her side.

Leila watched the whole thing and smiled inwardly:" If this isn't the chance for me to grab Aleg, then I will eat cockroaches for the rest of my life." Her racial desire flamed up and she couldn't wait to devour this tiny little Demon, who withstood her attacks by coincidence.", she thought.

Afterwards she approached Annie and tried to soothe her pain, talking:" Don't worry dear, he's only a little bit agitated, because of all the clinginess."

Then it hit Annie like a thunder, what actually had happened.." I am such a stupid woman... The reason I felt so attracted towards him was because he had saved my life and the gentle time I spent with him, was even more magical. He took care of me like it was nothing, but now that I think of it he didn't have to pay the entry fee for the city. The guard greeted him with a nobleman's title and his clothes were all bloody. Maybe he's an even more important existence in hell than I thought. This must be it... and obviously my whole clinginess irritated him.. who knows how many girls he has... Sigh... Here I fell in love for the first time with a high-ranking demon and I could've actually invoked his wrath. I won't give up! However I need a different approach!" Thus Annie's new womanly resolve was formed, to become an existence in Aleg's eyes worth fighting over.

She sorted out all the things she had to do in her mind:" Firstly, conquer his stomach, secondly stop being clingy and thirdly accept other women he could possibly already have. Hell, maybe he's even married to a demoness...!"
