Magic bullets, that's definitely new. I don't recall the game using any magic bullets. Then again, they didn't exactly specify what kind of bullets they are, so they could've very well been magic bullets and I just wouldn't have known.
Regardless, I need to know this. From the name alone, it seemed interesting.
"The military specialized magic bullets after the monster outbreak. The reason is that, unlike humans, monsters are not affected by normal bullets, or any conventional weaponry, for that matter."
Shit. They are immune to normal weaponry? The gun I have better have magic bullets, otherwise, I'm screwed.
"Magic bullets are not only effective against monsters, but they are horrifyingly effective against humans as well. Unlike conventional weaponry, a wound from a magic bullet will never heal if used against another human, regardless of the medicine one takes. As such, that means any wound, regardless of location, is lethal. Studies show that due to its properties, cells just completely stop functioning around the wound, effectively making healing impossible. However, against monsters, they are similar to normal bullets. They don't last forever. It is theorized it's because of monsters' physiology, as their bodies aren't made of cells, but rather a magical essence. This is further supported by the fact that monsters won't bleed if you hit them, instead, the wound will appear like a white void, with white particles coming off of them."
Here's something that I know. The last part, specifically. Monsters emit white particles from the wound when they are injured. Thankfully, my game knowledge isn't entirely useless.
I continued reading the book, occasionally slapping Eve's paw away when she puts it near my groin.
...
How long was I here?
I've just kept on reading the book without any care in the world, not like I'm in a place infested by monsters that want to gobble me up. Thankfully, no monster tried to enter the room.
All this time, Eve tried to get into my pants. None were successful, fortunately. Though, I'm sure she wasn't giving it her all.
Eventually, I reached the most important part.
"Most members of the facility, and most of the world that have guns, for the matter, are equipped with magic bullets. While it is a risk, as human-on-human violence is still prevalent, especially in this chaotic apocalypse, we've determined the chances of the pros outweigh the cons. Magic bullets are usually engraved with a circle seal craving."
I immediately checked the bullets, and sure enough, there was a craving just like the book described. Unconsciously, I let out a relieved sigh and put down the book. It was certainly useful. I don't know what I would've done if the bullets were just normal ones. If I met another demon that wasn't as docile as Eve with normal bullets... what would I have done? Would I have done the same thing that scientist did?
Ugh, forget it. I don't want to think about it anymore.
Instinctively, I pat Eve, who was reaching for my pants once more. She stopped what she was doing, and took out her tongue like always, panting, while I kept on head patting her. It's odd. It has only been a few hours, yet I feel like I already formed a not-so-weak bond with her. Hell, I'm even beginning to understand a bit of what she said.
Oh god, I'm slowly becoming fluent in dog language.
Maybe I could become a member of the X-Men? Probably would be the most useless X-Men possible, knowing how to communicate with dogs. What the hell would they call me? Dog master? Or Dog seducer?
Ew.
I returned the magazine back into the pistol and finally got up from the bed. I can't stay here forever, surrounded by monsters. I need to get out of here and find an actual safe place outside, somewhere, preferably with people.
But...
I glanced towards Eve, to which she responded by tilting her head.
What the hell do I do with her? Assuming, somehow, Eve didn't need to suck me off in order to get her powers and energy. If I went to a place filled with people, would they even let me in? That's just asking for disaster.
Haaah...
I'll worry about that later. Let's get out of here first.
I got a bag from one of the cabinets, and stored a few foods inside of it, then unlocked the door. Poking my head out, I was relieved to not see any monsters in sight. I got out of the room with Eve, and checked for another room, or an elevator, perhaps.
I believe I already said this, but this isn't a normal building. The hallway is full of mechanical things, with monitors attached to the walls, although most seem to be broken.

In other words, this place was similar to a government building in a sci-fi series.
---
After a while, I checked a couple of rooms, but barely anything noteworthy was in them. No bullets, which was the thing that I was looking for.
Something that was odd though, was either the room was extremely messy, implying a fight of some sort, or it was suspiciously clean as if no one had entered it before. This place had to be filled with scientists. I can understand a single room being clean, but multiple ones being that clean. It didn't make that much sense. What bothered me the most- Don't mistake me for a psychopath- but there weren't any bodies. I don't really know what happens to people that get sucked off, since you usually get a game-over scene after getting sucked off, but from what I knew, there had to be bodies. They turn into mummified corpses, most of the time.
Yet, there were no corpses here.
---
Eventually, I noticed what seemed to be an elevator, its appearance just like that of the game. I was initially filled with joy, but that quickly disappeared with the appearance of four monster girls, all of them like Eve. They all even had their mouths open, their tongue sticking out, and stupid smiles on their faces, just like Eve. They weren't moving, though, they just sat in front of the elevator like guard dogs.
Thankfully, they didn't notice me, as they were surveying the other way. I quickly turned back to my hallway, out of their sight.
I expected Eve to have some sort of reaction to seeing the other ones, but surprisingly, she just kept staring at them without any sort of reaction, even her smile gone.
After walking for a while, we quickly hid in one of the rooms and locked the doors.
I ran a hand through my hair and checked my options. Either, I could make a run for it, and quickly use the elevator before they could catch me.
1% chance. Not only are they faster than me, but their senses are superior as well, so they'll likely notice me long before I get close enough to the elevator.
My other option is fighting them straight on. But that one is risky as well, as I don't exactly know how strong they are, and I'm not exactly an expert marksman. Hell, I never shot a gun in my life, all the things I know about guns are from videos on the internet.
Not to mention...
I took a peek at Eve.
How the hell would she react to me injuring those of her race? Pissed? Probably.
Ah, what the hell.
Hmm... Maybe... I could distract them with something-
Before I could finish my thoughts, I felt something touching my leg. I looked down to see her gazing at me while one of her paws touched my legs, asking for my attention.
She had a completely expressionless look on her face. She wasn't sticking her tongue out, and she wasn't even smiling. Hell, I just noticed she didn't try to take off my pants for a while.
Shit, I feel something bad is about to happen.
"What's wrong?"
"..."
No response. She continued tugging my leg.
"What?"
"..."
I decided to crouch to meet her gaze, but her expressionless face didn't disappear.
"Is something bothering you- Hmph?!"
It took me by surprise, the way she just immediately got her face closer to mine, and gave me a quick kiss before stopping. It was extremely quick, just a simple one. She looked at me as if examining me. Then, a small smile formed on her face. This smile didn't bode well, at all.
"What the-"
This time, she immediately pounced on me and pinned me to the ground. And of course, she kissed me. But it wasn't like before, this was a deep kiss, full of passion.
But shit! She's fucking strong!
I wish it was just normal kissing, but she shoved her tongue inside my mouth and played with my tongue easily, sucking it roughly. I felt my mind going blank for a moment, as I felt my body strangely hot. What did I expect from a monster made specifically to suck off humans? Her tongue was extremely versatile and easily aroused me.
Even when my sanity is being eroded, I slowly pulled my gun out.
I feared something like this would happen. It's my fault, she's just a fucking monster. Did I really think I can have her as a companion? A monster that specifically lives off of semen, as a companion?
Even despite that, I still felt reluctant. But I got no other choice. I slowly moved my hand towards her stomach, the pistol mere centimeters away from touching one of her breasts.
Shit, why do I feel so depressed? I have only known her for a few hours! And she's violating me as we speak! Fuck, I'm getting aroused by the second, and I feel like my energy is draining slowly. Had it not been dangerous, I probably would've pounced at her the moment I found her.
Still...
"I-I'mfff s-sworry..." I managed to mumble as I was about to shoot her.
Just as I was about to pull the trigger, she suddenly stopped, and pulled back, her tongue still out. I instinctively lowered my gun as well, out of her sight. All her energy seemed to be back, as she let out an excited, and delightful bark. She had a satisfied smile on her face, as if she did something amazing.
"Woof!"
"...?"
"Woof!"
She came towards my face again, and just simply licked me. She didn't try to force herself on me, not this time.
What is this?
I slowly got up, bending my body slightly to make sure she didn't see the pistol, and slowly holstered it.
I checked my body for any abnormalities, but the only thing I felt was a mind-numbing pleasure, and slightly fatigued, as if a portion of my energy just got sapped away.
Wait a minute.
Sapped... Fatigue... Monsters suck off humans and their essence in order to survive. They can survive for a relatively long time, a few years, in their own dimension, but once they have materialized in the human world, they can barely survive for a few weeks. But she has to suck... Can she get energy from my tongue alone?
"Hey..."
"Woof!"
"Did you just... absorb my energy?"
"Woof!" She looked delighted when she barked, and I could easily tell that it was a yes. Still, this didn't make sense. From what I know, they specifically have to suck them off, but not their tongues, their manhood.
If her intention wasn't to kill me, and just get a sap of energy so that she won't disappear, then...
Shit. I was just about to shoot her as well. She could've easily violated me more, but she didn't try.
"Can you just survive... like this?"
"Awoo..." She slightly tilted her head at my question, and turned towards the ground, as if unsure how to answer this.
"Bark once if you can survive indefinitely, twice if not."
"Woof!"
Really, now? Then, if you could just do that, why the hell would you try to violate me and other people when you can simply do that?
"If you could do that all this time, then why the hell are you guys sucking up other people's souls?"
"Awoo..." There she goes again, unsure how to answer this. It looks like she's having genuine trouble with how to answer this.
"Woof?" Somehow, I felt like I sort of understood her. But just to make sure...
"Can you use this method with other humans?"
"Woof Woof!"
...A no.
If so, then why the hell does it work with me?
