Ahem. Greetings all my readers. So here's another update from me. For those who have given up hope of this story, fear not, I have not given up on it at all. I'm just STILL working on the arc. I might be a bit too much of a perfectionist when it comes to this story because I can never be satisfied. But this time I've taken away from uploading has taught me a few things.
First of all I'm actually working on a side story along with this one. And I mostly realised this from writing it, but... I much prefer writing something complete before posting. Because that gives me the ability to go back and rewrite older chapters all I want without having to tell people "Oh I had to make this, this and this correction here, here and here. Honestly you're better off going to reread the chapter."
Now that doesn't mean that I'm never gonna post again or something. And it doesn't mean I'm gonna finish the WHOLE of Tyrant before posting again either. I'll probably do that for this other side story since I haven't posted anything of it yet anyway. So I might as well just finish it before posting it. (Probably gonna take... what? A year? Two? No big deal right?)
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
What I'm going to do with Tyrant is I'm going to write it arc by arc from now on. And I have to apologize. Because that means you're going to have to wait quite a while. Because writing a whole arc TAKES a while. Especially when writing two stories at once. And while the two stories are similar. They're basically just going to another world with the protagonist being the most interesting character I can muster. There's a lot of differences between them that might seem minor to a reader, but are enormous to a writer. Like the perspective, just to give an example. I doubt there's much of a concious difference people place on perspective when reading something. But the difference between third and first perspective is ENORMOUS when writing.
Anyway. Enough with the excuses and justifications and all that. Basically. You're going to have to wait a while longer for anything to come out. In exchange once it DOES It'll be a chapter every day and it'll be a much more complete and wholesome reading experience since I'll be designing the arc from start to finish, probably editing the whole thing many, many times over. As an example. My side story has twenty chapters written right now. I've done full edits of the thing from start to finish about six times. Of course each time with more chapters than the last. In fact today again, I'm doing one.
Finally, I'll make sure to do my best to make every arc of the story be full of subtle reminders for the story, perhaps inserted in character interaction, or perhaps thoughts or the narration. I'll try my best to remind previous readers about the story and characters without making it obnoxious for new ones, basically.
That is all. Thanks for reading.
