That's what I would call this place where I suddenly ended up on. This place that looks like it's covered with VantaBlack all over and seems to stretch endlessly as far as my eyes can see, to the point that it can end a man's mind if they stayed here for a prolonged timed.

A place where the only solace is what it seems to be a throne in front of me that stands illuminated by an unknown source at the top. The throne is occupied by what it seems to be a fair woman in a nun clothing with a silver hair and purple eyes looking at me.

"Quinn Reverie, I welcome you to the afterlife. Unfortunately, your life in this world has ended. Your life might have been short but I hope that you've had fun on it with your pranks that is."

"P-Pardon?" Shocked by the statement that I died. I could only stutter a single word.

"It seems you are still quite shocked by your death? My name is Eris, The immortal Goddess of luck and fortune. Normally I wouldn't be the ones greeting the souls of the dead here but due to unforeseen circumstances a senior of mine is currently having, I am here as her replacement until she is back"

'dead? me?' quiet shell-shocked by the realization, I quickly took a few breaths in and out to calm my nerves. "HOO!.. HAA!.. HOO!.. HAA!.."

After that, I eventually managed to quiet my nerves and responded back. "A replacement?... If I'm not being so rude, can you perhaps tell me who's supposed to greet me here normally?"

Hearing me asking, Eris was surprised for a second but quickly calmed herself down and chuckled for quiet a bit before looking at me while showing a soft smile on her face which made me blush as she look quiet stunning when she smiles while looking at me with her fascinated eyes, I blushed looking at her face.

'Right she's a... Goddess, Of course she would be this alluring. Her beauty literally cannot be coined in human terms' I thought to myself while still holding a blush on my face.

Eris, The Goddess of luck and Fortune of course didn't missed my blushing face and chuckled again.

"My apologies, It's not that often I meet a dead person that doesn't ask how they died first as well as the fact that you're behaving this polite." she said with a few chuckles and continued on with, "I mean are you not gonna ask how you've died?"

"I-It's not that I'm curious how I've died but rather because I think it might good for my mental health to not ask that." I said while losing volume at the end. "A-also! how does one... normally react to things like this?"

"Well normally they would be pretty shocked and started shouting all around the place before calming down and frantically ask me questions how they've died, to which it would usually end with them cursing all around the place"

Eris sighed with tiredness after saying the last few sentences.

'normally huh?' I thought but then Eris realized how she worded things out and quickly tried to erase the misunderstanding. "It's not like I'm calling you abnormal, Mr. Quinn! I-I didn't mean it! i-it j-just every person is highly different than each other tha-that's why!"

"i-is that so?" I responded back but I clearly don't care that much.

"y-yes..." she said meekly.

Because of her outburst, a sudden awkward silence emerged between the two of us. After a few more seconds Eris became uncomfortable of the silence and clapped her hands to break the silence and brought the topic back to my question. "Right! your question. Normally the person who would be here to greet you would be my senior Aqua, The Goddess of water who guides human to the afterlife."

"Aqua?" I muttered under my breath.

"Yes, Aqua my senior but as I said before she can't be here to guide you due to her unforeseen circumstances"

It seems she heard my murmur but with my question answered. I stopped peering into her *senior's* business as I thought to myself that it would be quiet rude to continue poking a God's business and thanked her.

"Well, Thank you for answering my question, Goddess Eris" I said to her while bowing.

"Well, no need for that Mr. Quinn, I would appreciate it if you would just call me Eris"

"If you say so Eris. In that case you can also just call me Quinn"

After my sentence, A few awkward silence erupted again which ended when Eris clapped her hands (again) and brought up a topic about my fate.

"Right! now that we got all of those behind us. I think it's time for us to discuss your fate. As a dead soul, you have three options you can choose." As this is about my fate, I intently listened to her without interrupting her speech while trying to predict the choices I would be given.

"Your first option is being sent to Heaven but don't be disillusioned by your world's description of Heaven as this one is just an eternity being basked by the sun's ray. A place where you would not be given a body, meaning you wouldn't be able to experience anything that you may have experienced back on your previous world. The Second option is being reborn as a newborn without any of your gained memories while the third is being sent to save a world being plague by someone that's called the Demon king!"

With the options given to me, I quickly began weighing the pros and cons of each options to choose from. 'First option is obviously out. Just imagine not being able to experience anything except being blinded by the sun's ray while the Second option seems more viable but the loss of memory is such a huge turn-off as it would mean starting from zero. Which leaves only the Third option to ponder'

"Eris, I have some questions regarding the Third one" I asked calmly.

"If you are referring to the dangers about that world. There's no need to worry, The Gods and Goddess' themselves have granted anyone who chose the third option, To have knowledge about common sense in that world be directly ingrained in their brains so that they could easily adapt to their surroundings. Not only that but we're also granting you guys one power that will aide you for your endeavors against the demon king. That power can be a unique ability, or a legendary equipment of your choosing! It can be anything as it would accompany you for the rest of your trips to defeat the demon king!"

It seems that Eris has gotten quiet excited at the latter part of her explanations as she is currently panting due to her eagerness but after a few seconds of calming herself. She manages to catch herself up and asked me what I would choose.

"So what would it be Quinn? The first, The second, or Third?"

After listening to her explanation and to her question. I quickly went into thinking mode.

'Obviously after her eager explanation. As well as the fact that you would be able to keep your memories and have a power that people often dreamed about in my previous world'

With that in mind I quickly asked her a question. "Eris, Do you mind if I can see what kind of power I can have for reference?"

"Of course, Here it is!" As she hands me catalogue that is listed with a bunch of Overpowered sounding abilities and equipments.

Unparalleled strength Unbreakable Will Creation Magic Dragon Slayer Gram King's Maker Excalibur etc.

'It seems pretty easy to understand. Either choose an ability or a weapon to bring with you to this so called world being plague by a demon king to become a hero and so' I thought to myself as I continue to question more and more of this things as questions appear more than answers. 'What if they abuse the power given to them? what happens to the people there? is this the only world plague by a demon king? what if' but before I could come up more questions, Eris interrupted my thoughts.

"Well what do you think Quinn? Which of this option peeks your interest?" she asked with a hint of eagerness in her voice.

"W-well... all of this choices are tempting to choose..but"

"but.. what?"

"I.... have a quick question if you don't mind.... it's about the people you send to this world with their choosing of power given?"

"A question about them?... Well I can answer your question as long as it doesn't infringes their privacy"

"Then..." but before I could get my answer to my questions, I began to think what kind of question I should ask about them.

'should I simply ask how they would deal with those who abuse their powers?' I thought.

"Do you guys have fail-safe for those who would abuse the powers given to them?"

"Oh are you worried about those kinds of people? If so there's no need to worry as we have a filter that separates good, neutral, and evil souls. The good and neutral ones are given a choice to pick their next fates while the evil-er ones are not given any choice and are just sent to live their next lives without any memories" She explained with a wry smile then sighed softly.

"A filter huh? Then what about those that are already sent to that world and started abusing their powers?"

"No worries for those we simply take away their powers" She sighed. "Still it's a pity that some of them do end up in the wrong path instead of walking the path of goodness"

"Is that so? Then may I ask one more question then?" I asked.

"Go ahead Quinn" she said while making an action that proves her affirmation.

"C-can I suggest a power that's not in the catalogs?"

"Of course you can! As long as the Gods and Goddess' finds it fair"

'Fair?' my face distorted for a second after hearing that word but quickly returned to normal. 'They're literally giving people nukes if they chose the correct ones'

Seeing Eris staring at me and waiting for my answer. I immediately shook my head and erased my thoughts to prepare for my answer.

'Hmm what kind of power should I choose? Something that will make me unstoppable or make things easier?' Thinking of my options, I quickly remove those idea of my head. 'I wouldn't have asked Eris to make a personal power if my wishes are that simple, I could have simply chosen the given powers in the catalogs here... so why don't I choose something that will align with my interest the most?'

Finishing my thoughts and my decisions made, I looked at Eris with a determined answer. "How about changing my entire being that can handle a power that aligns with my interest?"

Eris baffled by my words were silent for a few seconds before responding. "Your interest?" after saying that Eris pondered what I meant and came to a revelation. "Oh! you mean your liking to pranks?"

"Yes that. If you would be able to make my entire being more suitable to make pranks?"

"Like changing your race with an ability that will help you make pranks?" she asked.

"That could work as well. If it makes things easier for you?"

With my confirmation, Eris went into thinking and soon asked if she can be left alone to talk to other divines for this matter.

"Uuuum... Quinn do you.... perhaps mind if I could go for a few seconds to talk about this matter to other Gods and Goddess's as this involved with us making you a new body that's not like your previous one's"

"Is it that bad that you have to consult others about it?" I questioned.

As innocent as my question sounds to me, It seems that Eris thinks so otherwise and began fidgeting a bit. 'Perhaps from anxiety' I thought. Eris still fidgeting took a few small breaths in and talked again "Yes....as this new body you asked for could possibly affect your very soul itself. I assume you have heard of the term 'One mind, One body, and One soul?"

"Yes, I'm quite familiar with the phrase... So what you are saying is that just by changing bodies, it will literally affect my existence?"

"Yes because usually in cases where a human soul is put into a body that isn't a human body is when they're already cleanse of all their experiences and memories of their past life hence why they can be put into another body that isn't a human. So in your case still having your memories and all, I believe and other divine being might as well think it might affect you greatly"

Hearing her explanations, I quickly closed my mouth in shock and barely managed to utter some words to allow here to get some advices with the other Gods. "Go ahead... Eris, I didn't think my request have such repercussion on my existence and my apologies for taking your time as well"

"Ah.. There's no need to apologize Quinn, It does concerns your existence so it's only right for you to be worried. If that's all then I'll go to others to talk about this matter!" With her response to me are said and done, she quickly left leaving me all alone in this void-like area.

'Off she goes' I thought and then reappeared as quickly as she left.

"Sorry for the wait Quinn! I hope you didn't wait for too long" She says with a wide smile on her face, As I looked at her with a slight disbelief that it just took mere moments for an issue like this to be solved. "No worries about it Eris, I didn't really wait for too long"

"Ah right! I forgot about the time differences in each realm... I'm sorry about that Quinn because in my perspective it took us Divines months to actually settle for this problem"

I was intrigued by the info she brought but my safe resurrection is my priority right now so I didn't poke into it that much and just headed straight to that topic. "Is that so? I guess that's good then. I assume that it went well considering that smile on your face?". Hearing my words Eris burst into a bigger smile than she currently has, demonstrating her already skewed beauty into my eyes.

'God Damn, Is every God this attractive or is it just her? Man I can feel my face heat up' I thought while trying to make a neutral face.

Seeing me in this predicament, Eris chuckled and teased me. "You know Quinn, you look cute trying to make a neutral face with such a bright blush on your face"

Blushing even harder after hearing her words, I quickly tried to change the subject. "Eris, thank you for such praises but can we head into the topic of my body being constructed?"

A magic circle then *magically* appeared underneath my feet and started glowing.

"Ah right of course! Then if you could just stand there and don't move away from this magic circle" She said. "From now on Quinn, You'll become one of the hero candidates in that world and once you defeat the Demon King, The Gods will bless your efforts and give you a gift the moment you defeat the Demon King."

"A gift?"

Eris smile became brighter while looking at me. "Yes a gift befitting that of a savior who saved the world from evil! A wish that can grant you anything you want"

'So pretty much a wish then?' I thought thinking about what I could wish for. 'I wonder if becoming a God through that wish is possible?'

"Hey Eris, I said earlier that I'm not interested how I died but can you tell me as vaguely as you can how I died?"

Eris after hearing my request started pondering with a complicated look on her face. "as Vaguely as possible?"

"Yes" I said.

After a few seconds of silence and thinking, Eris then decided to answer with a smile so bright you might think you're being blessed. "You've died doing what you've loved"

Suddenly a painful headache occurred when she said that despite that I somehow managed to get a clear look of her face. 'What is with that smile? It feels like she's hiding something? Rather than blinding, it felt more forced than her previous one. A wry smile perhaps?' I thought as bright lights started to envelop me slowly but before that I asked her one more question again.

"Will we ever meet again Eris!" I shouted in an almost desperate voice.

"Of course! in fact even sooner than you think!" She shouted back. Hearing that gave me a sense of relief.

'I see we'll meet again? sooner than what I think?' I thought to myself and started thinking that I sounded really desperate back there. 'Did I seriously gain a crush within that short frame? Guess I'm more pathetic than I thought'

While still in my thoughts, The bright light fully surrounded me.
