Prologue: Back to Japan

Hmmm, so how to start this story…

The true beginning?

Well, let’s give it a try.

---

Everything started with nothing, but then something came into existence.

How?

No idea…

---

Ok, bad start, then maybe some kind of future event intro?

---

I was running…

Running from “it”…

But no matter how much I run, “it” will always catch up…

Then I heard “it”’s footsteps, together with “it”’s bestial roar…

“Shiro-kun, come back here!”

---

Oh, the terror…

Nah, I think we will have to go with something a bit different, something like…

---

Hi, let me introduce myself before we get truly started.

My name’s ***, I’m *** old and my hobbies are reading, pranking and my occasional insanity.

Huh, you didn’t get my name nor age, well, that’s not really that weird, after all, I’m something akin to what you people call gods. Well, except I’m not omnipotent nor omniscient, only close to. So I’m insanely strong and can’t die.

Trust me, I can’t. Tried everything I could think of. Hell, I even destroyed my soul to the point that they were smaller than atoms, much smaller.

Anyway, my true name and age aren’t that important, since I entertain myself with reincarnation.

Why? Simple.

Try having done everything possible with your own near unlimited power and see if you don’t get bored.

So I opted for reincarnating, while limiting my power most of the time.

Why most of the time, you ask? Well, in some worlds there’s no way to surpass the body you’re in. The usual way to do this is by having mana, ki, energy, soul, whatever. Some kind of power that can change the laws of the world to some degree.

What’s my true power?

Well, it doesn’t have a name, since I’m the only one with this power, but let’s just call it existence.

It’s a lame name? Blame my insanely bad naming sense.

But anyway, back to the point.

As I said, some worlds have a power that allows you to exceed the flesh, or strengthen it to an insane degree. But at the same time, some worlds don’t have that kind of energy.

In those worlds, I usually unseal my power, so that I can always access it. Not that I use it constantly, but it’s more of a safety measure.

Plus it’s also interesting.

So yeah, right now I’m in the middle of a reincarnation on one such world without any kind of power.

My name’s Takagawa Shiro, I’m 15 years old and was born in Japan. My hobbies are reading, pranking and my random insanity.

Random insanity?

Curious aren’t we?

Well, it’s mostly when I decide to do something crazy, like the multiple suicide attempts that I tried in my true body and seeing if I could really die. But this has nothing to do with my reincarnations.

In my reincarnations it can basically be anything from innocent pranks to mass destruction.

Stolen story; please report.

I ain’t no saint!

I do whatever I want to, but killing and torturing everything is not always the funniest of things. So I usually just live my life “normally” after whatever standards there are.

Back to the story!

As I said, I was born in Japan, but as half Japanese and half Danish. My father met my mother in Japan, and they both then moved to America when my mother got pregnant with me.

Apparently they wanted to raise me in America so that I could learn multiple languages. So right now I know English, Japanese and Danish, yes, Danish.

Well, being who I am, it wasn’t the hardest thing, but it still took time.

The world I’m currently on is called Earth, and the year is 2042. Yes, it’s your world suckers, just 26 years in the future.

My name is entirely Japanese, as my father has always loved Japan and my mother was born there. Oh, and their names are Takagawa Pelle og Takagawa Yukina respectively. My father changed his last name to my mothers, obviously.

Father used to work for the Danish military’s special forces, before he retired at a young age from injuries. While not serious enough to hinder his daily life, it’s still bad enough to make him unable to be in the military.

Mother was just your regular Japanese college student. She was 20 when she met my father, and he was 31. Some age difference, right? Well, anyway, she fell for him, and vice versa, finished her studies, and then became pregnant and moved.

I have been almost everywhere in America in these last 15 years of my life, since my parents love to travel. I’m also home taught, so I don’t really have any friends, not that it matters of course.

There was also a time where I went to Denmark with my parents. It wasn’t for any special reason, other than just my father wanting to visit his family and introduce me to them. This happened when I was 10 years old.

These last 15 years my family have lived from my father’s huge savings. And yes, huge enough to last 3 people for 15 years. And if that’s not enough, my father loved to spoil my mother and I, he would buy us anything we asked for.

Recently his savings have started thinning again, so my parents have decided to move back to Japan, taking me with them.

So yeah, my story starts with me going to Japan.

---

I’m currently seated in an airplane on my way to Japan.

After having looked out of the window on the right, admiring the clouds, I turn back to my left only to see my father reading one his tablet.

It’s quite fun how I pride myself with an addiction to reading, when my own father trumps me by far. Even though he only reads fictions, the amount he reads surprises even me.

Further left sits my mother, who’s currently feeding my father as he reads.

No matter how much time passes, they’ll always be lovebirds. The only things they don’t do in front of me are the lewd ones. They have no qualms about kissing and cuddling in front of me.

Some might think this is shameless, but I find it cute. Well, at least they only ignore me when they’re in their own little pink world, and still keep it in acceptable ranges.

Looking back out the window, the clouds finally clear and I can see Japan in the distance…
