As they watched the chaos unfold from them building they were trapped in, fear gripped So Mi and the others, their hearts pounding in their chests. They could only hope that the monstrous creature would leave once it was done wreaking havoc on the camp. Each crash and roar sent shivers down their spines, and they hoped for safety amidst the destruction.
The sounds of destruction seemed to echo endlessly, filling the air with a sense of impending doom. With each passing moment, the situation grew more dire, and they could only wait, trapped and powerless, as the creature continued its rampage. In the midst of chaos, hope felt distant and fragile, but they clung to it desperately, praying for a swift end to the nightmare.
Their prayers seemed to have been answered as the noises suddenly stopped and they looked out to see that the monster had stopped randomly destroying things. They stared at it hoping that it would finally leave seemingly satisfied with the havoc it had caused.
A glimmer of hope began to rise in their hearts only for it to be ruthlessly dashed as the monster suddenly begin to walk towards the building they were trapped in. Fear gripped So Mi and the others, their hearts pounding with dread. Frantically, they searched for any means of escape, but with the monster blocking their only exit, they were left with no options. Each step of the creature sent tremors through the ground, amplifying their terror as they braced for the inevitable confrontation.
"We can't face that monster" Mr. Park exclaimed as the behemoth drew closer, his voice trembling with fear.
The others also knew this fact, there wasn’t any means they had to defeat the monster.
As the monstrous creature closed in on them, panic surged through the group. "Why did it suddenly come towards us though? It was just randomly attacking before” Min-ji said frantically.
Mr. Park's voice trembled as he replied, "That doesn't matter now. We have to come up with a plan if we don't want to die."
Miss Kim interjected "How about we hide in a room for now?"
With no time to waste, they all rushed into a nearby room, seeking refuge from the approaching threat.
Inside the room, tension hung thick in the air as they listened to the ominous sounds of destruction outside. Each passing moment felt like an eternity as they waited, their hearts pounding with fear. So Mi glanced around at the others, her eyes filled with worry. “What do we do now?” she whispered, her voice barely audible above the chaos outside.
.......
Ji-hoon and So Mi had found their way to the camp after Eunji had told them that the others were trapped in the hospital where they had been examined. They had made her tell them everything she knew about the monster which wasn’t a lot since she was so focused on escaping but she had said that the monster seemed unintelligent as it had not been targeting anyone as they escaped and only seemed to enjoy destroying everything.
They found themselves currently staring at the cause of all the destruction as it made way for itself to get into the hospital. This seemed contrary to what Eunji had told them.
If the others were really trapped inside the hospital though, they had to come up with a plan to rescue them.
“What do we do?” Soo Won asked Ji-hoon.

“We need it to create an exit for us to enter and the others to escape so we’ll let it destroy the wall. I’m sure the others must be hidden inside so we just need to distract it long enough for them to escape and we find a way to escape as well after that, I’ll distract it while you find the others and escape.” Ji-hoon explained his plan.
“How will you escape?” Soo Won asked worried about his safety.
“I’ll be fine, as long as you guys have escaped, it’ll be easy for me to escape as well” He convinced her.
Soo Won nodded reluctantly, her concern evident in her eyes. “Just be careful,” she urged, her voice tinged with worry.
Ji-hoon gave her a reassuring smile. “I will. Let’s focus on getting everyone out first.” With that, they set off to execute their plan, determined to rescue their friends from the impending danger.
They waited for the monster to destroy the wall and get in before they ran towards the entrance as well. Ad they reached the entrance, they separated with Ji-hoon following after the noise and Soo Won checking through the rooms.
......
So Mi and the others could only hear the sound of the monster’s footsteps getting closer to them. Quietly hoping that the monster wasn’t really targeting them, they all stayed as silent as possible. The tension in the air continues to rise until the monster’s footsteps suddenly stops in front of the room they were in.
As the footsteps ceased, a heavy silence engulfed the room, broken only by the sound of their own ragged breaths. So Mi’s heart pounded in her chest as she waited, her muscles tense with anticipation. She exchanged worried glances with Min-ji and Miss Kim, silently communicating their shared fear.
Suddenly, there was a loud crash as the monster slammed into the wall, causing the room to shake violently. Dust and debris rained down from the ceiling, and So Mi covered her mouth to stifle a cough. With each subsequent blow, the walls groaned and splintered, threatening to collapse at any moment.
“We need to get out of here!” Mr. Park shouted above the din, his voice barely audible over the cacophony of destruction. So Mi nodded in agreement, her mind racing as she searched for an escape route amidst the chaos.
........
Ji-hoon had been slowly following the monster from behind when the monster had suddenly stopped in front of a room and started bashing the walls. He didn’t understand why it was doing that until he suddenly heard Mr Park voice and realized that the monster was targeting them.
The realization also set in that Eunji might have been wrong about the monster being unintelligent but he didn’t have the time to think about that at the moment.
“Hey, you!!” Ji-hoon shouted alerting the monster to his presence.
The monster slowly turned around as it saw him and stopped banging on the wall. With a menacing growl, it took a step towards him and Ji-hoon immediately began to run away.
Realizing that he needed to lead it away from the exit as well as Soo Won, Ji-hoon took a turn leading the monster deeper into the building and away from the others and the exit.
‘Now I just have to somehow escape' Ji-hoon thought as he somehow managed to dodge the swipe of the monsters hand and took another turn increasing the distance him and the monster.
.......
Soo Won heard the noise of the monster running after Ji-hoon and came out of her hiding spot to check on the room it has been banging on.
“Are you guys okay. It’s Soo Won” She said as she knocked on the door.
Relieved to hear Soo Won's voice, the others quickly opened the door, and So Mi pulled her into a tight embrace. The tension that had gripped them moments ago melted away as they reunited, grateful to see each other safe and unharmed amidst the chaos.
"We're okay," So Mi said, her voice trembling slightly with emotion. "We were so worried about you."
Soo Won returned the hug, her eyes brimming with tears of relief. "I'm just glad we're all together again," she replied, her voice choked with emotion. "But we need to get out of here before that monster comes back."
“What about Ji-hoon and Min-jae?” Mr Park asked.
"Ji-hoon is leading the monster away, we have a plan already, and he's going to meet us outside, but we have to escape now," Soo Won replied, her voice urgent. She chose not to mention anything about Min-jae, not wanting to worry them further.
With a nod of understanding, Mr. Park led the way as they hurried towards the exit, their footsteps echoing in the empty corridors as they raced to safety.
Soo Won hesitated to follow as she thought about Ji-hoon but she knew she couldn’t disrupt the plan so she just prayed that Ji-hoon would be safe in her mind and followed them.
