I just had the best sleep of my life. I am disappointed I have to wake up for college. Heh. Last evening was very enjoyable. I don’t regret a single bit. The sound and sight of shattering his kneecaps was absurdly fun.

Looking around my room, I realize how clean it is. All that remained on the floor was a shirt I had worn from last week. The time it takes for me to get ready for class is incredibly short, so I turn to the other side of my small room, and activate the TV.

"Breaking news, Oscar Ming, newcomer to Snapdragon, was brutally murdered. His DNA was found by his younger brother, Felix Ming, as both were studying in forensics. The older in psychology, and the other in particulates."

That kid… I recalled the young man asking me where his brother went. I knew something was up with the kid I met on the way back from the crematorium. He is probably going to suspect me now. And I thought I had properly cleaned the murder site!

Why would I be stupid enough to wear those clothes in public? Dang. I lay down, staring at the ceiling and listening to my local reporter drone on. Dragging myself out of bed again, I swipe up my backpack, make sure my laptop is charged, and head out for my morning walk to college.

Leaving the house, I realized how stupid my excuse about still living with my mom. The chilly Snapdragon air cooled me, and produced a puff of ice crystals whenever I exhaled.

Checking Ourtube and Rettiwt for fresh content, I walked the thirty minute travel from home to school. Of course, putting my phone away whenever I was near traffic or at a stoplight.

I arrived at the modern looking entrance of my college. It was pretty big, and I am still surprised, even though I grew up here, by the amount of funding it took to have all these windows. The solid click of my shoes on the freshly polished floor never got old. Opening the door to my advanced math class was silky smooth, as always. I sat down in my spot, and open my crisp looking laptop. Someone new was sitting next to me…

Felix was done. He wanted to find whoever did this, and murder them himself. How Could someone do this? Who could murder Oscar?

If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

He couldn’t believe it happened. Felix has looked into serial murder investigation as a career, (And also his brother had worked in that field.) and statistically, 50% of serial murder victims are between 14 and 29 years old, less than 10% were Asian, and less than 30% were male.

How did I determine this was an act of serial murder? Felix wrote down in his notebook, Because the same cause of death, method of killing, and body disposal were all exactly the same as a serial killer on the rise. This was its third target.

“Dang it! If only Oscar was here. He was on the fast track to being a forensic psychologist!" Felix looked down, standing, at his desk. It wasn’t exactly legal, the way he acquired all of this evidence, but he felt like he had to try.

After studying everything this murderer has ever done in their horrid career. With psychology, he discovered the killer most often killed, not for money, rage, or, ahem, other things, but just for fun. The rush of it. This made Felix even more furious.

Focus, Felix, focus. It most often killed its victims using the surprise tactic, which Felix’s intuition told him either it felt more fun to the killer, or the killer was physically incapable of a head on assault, the favorite of the fun loving serial killers.

Felix took his notebook to his bed, and began to reread all the evidence. He broke into tears, and fell asleep with his tear-soaked notebook clutched in his right hand.

The next day, Felix felt like crap. He woke up, got ready for college, and left without a thought for his messy apartment or the tragedy that had occured the night before. He dragged his feet as he sat in his car, and drove.

On his way, he saw someone strangely familiar, put her phone in her hoodie, and cross the street in front of him. Hmm… I feel like I have seen her before… then, she was out of view. The light turned green, and he drove the final block to his fancy looking college.

He remembered his brother, and teared up. Parked, he covered his mouth with his hand and got out. Launching the backpack over his shoulder, he headed to the advanced math class his parents had made him attend. I need to sit down.

Felix sat into the nearest empty seat, and that began his first year of college. But wait, someone familiar was sitting next to him. Felix got kind of excited, didn't know why, and practically cheered:

"Hi, I'm Felix! What is your name?" She looked over, her eyes with a happy sheen to them.

"Hello, I am Meirelle, pleasure meeting you!" She closed her eyes and grinned. Felix was genuinely excited to have a friend in college.

"Do you want to do math together?" Felix popped the question as if he were asking her on a date and blushed a bit. Meirelle just answered with a cheerful "Yes!"

At this moment, Meirelle thought: "This is perfect. Now all I need is to do is kill him!"
