The Orb…
As it waits in the void, the orb decides that it wants to be a not-orb. It remembers strong things, and wants to be like them. And so it looks inward, trying to find out how to change. As it looks in, it realizes something. There are weak things inside of it.
Angered, it lashes the weak thing. Pain spikes through the orb, but the weak thing is gone. It already has a history of pain, what is a little more in the name of strength? It lashes out again and again. The weak things die quickly, not able to withstand the powerful lashes.
Once the weak things are all gone, the orb looks at itself again. There are no weak things anymore. The orb shines brilliantly into the void, now possessing a bright golden color. It focuses again on being a not-orb.
It stretches, trying to flatten itself. It works, and the orb takes on an ellipsoid form. It tries again, and becomes a cube. Another stretch and it's a pyramid. The cube stretches itself for a long time, eventually making more complex things, like donuts and rings.

After a very long time of stretching, the orb has decided that it will stretch into a new thing. The strong thing from his memory. It takes on a humanoid form. It makes thick bones, and thicker muscles. The new body looks like a professional bodybuilder squared.
A hole opens up next to the soul. Confused, it tries to punch the hole. Its hand gets sucked through because it is a hole. The rest of the body follows soon after, and the hole closes behind it.

Elsewhere…
I finally found that damned lost soul! But why's it so powerful? It should've died instantly, but now it looks like it could be passed off as a greater angel’s soul! I’ll just send it somewhere physical, where it'll dissipate.
The voice opens a hole next to the soul, and is shocked when the soul willingly goes through the portal. It quickly closes the portal after the soul goes through.
“Boy am I glad that thing’s so stupid.”
