I figure that the people who read this sort of deserve an explanation of why the update speed has been all over the place, and lately, really slow.

One of my main betas is suffering--well, let's just say that a family member will hopefully see 2024 begin, but they are unlikely to see it end. He enjoys reading and giving comment and I'm not about to be an ass about this, given that currently his life is the platonic ideal of 'this is not fun'. I will try to have a new chapter, if it's finished by January 1, but other than that, the current update schedule is gonna be: when it gets done.
