CHAPTER - 2

New Place

Friday, 4th Sep, 10:30 am

I am riding a car with my parents to his house with the moving truck behind us. For no apparent reason my mind ran off to when mum wanted to be a working woman my my dad did not object. And then he stepped out of his office because he did not want me to be raised by a nanny. I was probably 1 or 2 at that time but I'm hella grateful to him for doing that. I sometimes feel like I'm taking them for granted. I really don't know. As I was in deep thoughts I did not notice that we arrived until my mum snapped at me. "Hello earth to emma". "Yeah" I said. "Go in first we will check what needs to be sent in to your room and send them in. Okay?"

"Yeah, okay" I step into the driveway and out of the car. I start waking towards the front door. When I finally reach the door I start to feel nervous for some reason. I put on my acting/smiling face and rang the doorbell. Aunt Becky opens the door and hugs me. I hug her back. "Been a while" she says. I say " It's only been a week aunt Becky". "Well tell that to your niece. Come in here" says Uncle Mike. We hug and Ivan walks up behind him and gives me a hifi.

Now all of us are making our way into the living room. And when we all are seated my parents walk in. They have a seat right next to Uncle Mike. They look at me and turn to Uncle Mike "Well we are leaving our daughter in your hands for a few months hope you don't steal her from us" says dad. "Dad , really?" I say with a raised eyebrow. "What? I was just making sure" he says with a smirk. We all laugh it out. After a cup of tea my parents leave for their journey. But they left the car for me and they left in the car the company sent for them. After coming back in I went into my new room to start unpacking. After I'm almost done with my clothes I hear a knock on my door. "Come in" I say. And Ivan walks in. He looks at me and says "need any help" pointing at the unpacked boxes. I say "not really but could you help me with the empty boxes" with a smile. He looks at me and says "yeah, sure". He starts to take away the empty boxes and I resume setting my wardrobe. By the time I'm done he is putting the boxes away. As I make my towards him my phone starts ringing. I take a look at and see that Eric is calling so I say I got to take this and start heading to the balcony door while picking the phone and saying "Hey,babe". I hear "Hi love. Did you settle down yet?" "Yeah, just need to set some pictures and jewellery" " so, do you want to come to my house? My parents are out for the night." "I just got here I don't wanna seem rude." "God is there anything to you that doesn't seem rude"."Geez could you stop complaining for once"."Okay Okay. So when do you think you will be coming to my house"."Maybe Tuesday"."Okay I got to get back my friends are at my door. I will call you tomorrow. Bye". He cuts the call. I go back inside and see Ivan looking at a picture frame. "That is Claire. My bestfriend" I say. He looks at me and says with a tensed face "I was just looking at it". "Yeah, sure" I say. "Need anymore help" he says. I look around and say "nope". "Well then come out for lunch" he says walking out. I follow him saying "Oh my god where you waiting for me?" "What do you think princess? " he says. "I'm sorry to keep you waiting for so long" I say. "No problem, now come on I'm hungry" he says.

After eating lunch I went into my room and unpacked the other stuff and decorated my room. And I had a call with my mother. Then I took a nap.
