In the middle of a certain forest, a young girl with black hair and red eyes could be seen walking while reading a book. She wore clothes that closely resembled the modern Gothic fashion which could only be seen on modern day earth. What’s more this girl was carrying a large backpack behind her back. Furthermore, even with such a great mismatch in clothes, bag and place. The girl showed no signs of minding it. Anyone with a normal fashion sense would cringe at the sight of her.

By the way, that girl is me, Yuria. Hehe~

Well, don’t blame me for having these mismatched items okay. Even with 3000 years of research, I couldn’t use space-time magic. So me carrying a backpack for extra clothes, supplies and some camping gear were necessary. As for the clothes, well, let’s just say it’s my hobby. I mean, look! I’m a 3000 year old Vampire Ancestor that has an outer appearance of a 16-year old girl. So, me wearing some gothic clothes is the most natural thing to wear!

By the way, all of this were self-made by me. Magic really is convinient~ Even me, a shut-in with no specialized knowledge in producing things like me, can easily make stuff equal to the products of modern day earth. Hahaha! Well, it did took me 500 years to make such a magic though! Now that I think about it, didn’t I only have 1 set of clothes during my early days?

Lastly, as for the book, that’s because only walking for hours can be BORING! Well, reading a book in the middle of a forest can be dangerous. However, I have magic! By creating a warding barrier, a protective barrier and a stealth barrier around me, the danger of getting attacked by wild animals or colliding into trees can be prevented.

Well, a small circle with geometric patterns, a.k.a. magic circle, formed under my feet as a result of those barriers though. But, that’s just sweating the small stuff.

Okay then, now that that’s out of the way. Let’s continue reading this book about magic that I wrote a few hundred years ago. Well, it was just a book that I wrote out my delusions though. So me telling you guys about what’s in it is a nono!

Hahaha~ being a vampire really is great! Not needing sleep and being able to see in the dark is truly wonderful! Because of that, the need for camping and stuff like that had been rendered useless! Damn it!

Well, since I’ve already brought it with me, going back home to leave it there is already a pain. So let’s just bring it. Who, knows, maybe it’d prove useful someday.

“Hmm?”

While, I was talking to myself, I noticed a small change of scenery around me. Well, during the 5 days of traveling that I did, the scenes already changed a number of times though. From a forest, to a prairie to a lakeside to a vast grassland. However, the scene before me was clearly made artificially. What’s more, though it’s part of the scene, it had it’s uses and functions. It functions to connect a town to another town. And, it’s used to allow vehicles travel more comfortably.

In short, right now, I was looking at a road. Well, it’s not cemented and the like though. At, best, it’s just a clearing of artificially flattened ground without grass that snakes toward a direction though. Well, thinking of cemented roads in a world that has magic is feels kinda stupid and surreal.

Anyways, since I’m seeing a road now, this means that civilization is closeby! So, for now, let’s follow this road and see where I’ll arrive!
