Prologue
“So how should we conclude our eternal conflict this time? I say we make the next one be our last, otherwise mother will scold us for messing with the lives of lower existences too much.”
“Hmm... Well, we’ve already done the ‘summoned hero versus demon king’ game. Why not do it again? I mean, even if you lost once, there’s no reason you won’t win this time around-”
“It was a miscalculation! I didn’t expect the hero to fall for the female demon king and become her most trusted general.”
“Ah, you’ve always been a bit on the pure side. You know, you should really read up a bit on carnal desire, otherwise you’ll never beat me.”
“Oh? I seem to have recalled that you lost the bet we made concerning the human 10,000,000,000 years ago. You said that he’d never be able to cultivate the Eternal Demon Hell cultivation technique without losing his pure heart, and yet, even up to this date he has yet to have so much as a smudge on his blank soul.”
“Tch! Stop reminding me about that, he was just lucky. If he had just fallen into the pit of desires instead of being saved by his future wife, I would have won!”
“Too bad~. We both agreed that 100,000,000 years was the time limit for the bet. Well, if you want, I wouldn’t mind a rematch-”
“What are the 2 of you do- Are you guys seriously still not finished with your grudge match? I’m pretty sure Aunty said to have it end 1,000,000,000 years ago?”
““S-shut up!!””
“Well, if you guys want, I can help you guys out. After all, it’s in my nature to be neutral. I can set the game fair and square, even I don’t know how it’ll end.”
“...He’s right, he literally can’t take sides. Besides, don’t you remember the exciting game he cooked up for Mom and Dad’s wedding anniversary?”
“Oh yeah! Going into the lower worlds and starting from scratch with only one ability, man, the difficulty is what made it so thrilling!”

“Yeah, though Mom was pissed that Dad ended up getting an entire dimension of mistresses in only a thousand years. Had to avoid her until just last year, otherwise I would end up having to live through a thousand lives as a lower existence before becoming a higher existence again.”
“Enough, now listen to my my idea. Don’t worry, it’s arranged taking into account your personalities, so which side you guys choose is already predicted. So, it goes like this, ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* Understand?”
“Whoa, that gave me chills. But now that I think about it, isn’t it already a pretty generic concept in the lower realms?”
“Psh, you’re still bitter over the fact that you lost the ‘summoned hero versus demon king’ game.”
“Stop. As I was saying, don’t you guys like their ideas?”
“Duh./Of course.”
“Then there you go. Alright, let’s get this game started. Luckily I’ve already been carefully cultivating a planet for a few billion years, and intelligent lower existences have already popped up. Though they have yet to advance that far, I’m sure this game of ours will speed that up. This way we don’t have to create the playing field in a rush. Now, follow me. Wouldn’t want to waste time, otherwise Aunty might pop up in the middle of the game. And the both of you know what’ll happen after that, right?
*G-gulp*
----------------------------------------
In a room inside a tavern straight out of medieval times, a man with black hair and blue eyes was sitting on a stool while drinking what appeared to be beer. In front of him was the blond bartender who refilled the cup once the man finished drinking.
“So,” said the man. “I heard you had some pretty good information for me, Johnny.”
The bartender nonchalantly replied, “Well, it’s all on you whether the info’s pretty good or not. My sources tell me that 3 god-tier higher existences have their sights on a particular world. They plan to host some kind of event there, don’t really know the details, but the point is that if someone were to take part in it, chances are they’d gain a lot from it.”
“Hoh~,” said the man with black hair. He seemed surprise at the info, but he showed no signs of it on his facial expression. “Well, I wonder if it’d really be worth it if someone like me who’s already gained so much compared to most people participated.”
“Trust me, my sources tell me that if you can make it to the very end of the game, you might be able to find a way to bring back your dead girl.”
After the bartender said his line, he waited for the black haired man to respond. He was pretty patient considering he waited 5 minutes without complaining.
“...Alright,” said the black haired man. “How do I get in on this ‘game’.”
“Easy,” said the bartender with a smile. “Die and reincarnate. You can’t transmigrate, otherwise you’re asking to be put on their radar. Oh, as you know you’ll lose all your memories after this, but your personality and sense of being will remain the same. So, you gonna do it? Don't worry, you can pay me back in your next life.”
The black haired man didn't even hesitate. “Done deal. Alright, pleasure doing business with you, Johnny. Also… thanks, I wouldn’t have made it this far if it wasn’t for you.”
With the exchange done, the two men walked to the back room of the tavern, leaving the loud and cheerful atmosphere behind them.
(A/N: Like the synopsis states, still planning out the story. Check back in 1-2 months. Should have quite a few chapters written by then, as well as the general plot of the story. See you guys then~)
