Powering up.

Darkness. A vast, suffocating void.

There was no ground beneath his feet, no air in his lungs—just an endless abyss stretching into nothingness. His body felt weightless, like he was floating between atoms. He felt trapped between a rock and a hard place, but like… a subatomic hard place. A metaphysical hard place. Well, he wasn’t even sure what he meant by that, but the thought stuck.

Then, without warning, the blackness shattered.

A piercing white light beamed directly into his eyes, so blinding he thought he might go blind. Before panic could set in, a chime of bells rang out, crisp and melodic, yet strangely mechanical.

Game Start.

Appeared in big bold letters across his vision.

He tried to move, but his limbs refused to obey. His breath came in short gasps—if he was even breathing at all. What the hell was happening? Had he been drugged? Knocked out? Or… was he dead?

A dull ringing pounded in his ears, and before he could think, his eyes locked onto the first option.

Niko stared at the Sex Selector screen.

Choose Your Sex!

• Male (Selected)

Female

“Errr—I can choose my sex? Easy enough I suppose. Nothing to change there. Would be funny though wouldn’t it?” He glanced down at the selector screen. As soon as he confirmed his selection, the words pixelated and new options emerged.

Choose Your Race!

A new screen materialized, displaying a list of races. He had expected something generic—human, elf, maybe orc. But what appeared was nothing like that. These were something else. Above the list, a single line of text hovered.

“Tip: Races change based on your Patron. Choosing a god may unlock new races or restrict existing ones.”

Huh. So he should come back and check out the new races later? A small smirk formed on his lips as he looked through everything.

* Banes from the Titans arn’t necessarily meant to be negative.

Niko stared at the options, his heart pounding in his chest. Each choice made him think more and more. A demigod? That sounded cool, like an obvious pick, but being kin to Olympians was a hard pass for him. Didn’t the myths say that the gods were always begging their children for favors? Killing men, assaulting women, and punishing mortals. He couldn’t believe he was casually reading through races in a Greek-themed RPG, as if it were no big deal. He’d gotten that girl’s number right before this, but something hit him. He silently hoped he could get back home and maybe see her, or just go back and enjoy his life as it was. He was completely content with his life, and this happened? He wasn’t some fat, neck-bearded degenerate like in those shows. Was he just unlucky?

His eyes kept drifting back to the TitanBlood option. TitanBlooded were descendants of the primordial Titans. They were here before the gods, but would they be worse than them? They had resistance to divine magic and started with the “Wrath of the Old Gods” ability to bane. It was a temporary berserker state; that seemed like it would be strong, honestly. Plus, they were considered a threat by the Olympians. Another thing: Olympian Banes inherited max strength Boons. He wasn’t sure what that meant, but it had to be good, right? Though being labeled a threat wasn’t exactly reassuring.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

Niko recalled the old tales: the Titans had been overthrown by the gods. Chronos and his kin had met a nasty fate, he was tied to Tartarus and locked away. Zeus had made it clear he wasn’t interested in his father after he ate his brethren.

There were other classes; the Revenant option was tempting, too. Being undead and nearly impossible to kill would be a huge advantage. But did he really want to start off dead? Maybe he could change that later he thought so he wouldn’t need it now.

Exhaling slowly, he ran his fingers through his red hair. “Alright, think, Niko. Who are you going to be in this world? What do you want to be?” he thought internally. Clearly, he was isekai’d now, and it was going to be some bullshit right off the bat.

I want to be strong. Resilient, fast, be my own person. Maybe others were here and I could help them.

After a tense moment of deliberation, Niko made his decision. TitanBlood—it was the coolest sounding one of them all, he thought. And if it turned out to be a mistake, he could always come back and choose another one. Right?

The moment he confirmed his race, the screen shifted. A new list of options materialized before him.

Patrons Available…

Syncing Affinities… Adjusting Based on Divine Resonance…

A tip menu popped up at the bottom of the screen, stark red letters standing out against the darkened background.

Tips: All TitanBloods begin with a Bane.

The Olympian’s Curse – Zeus’s wrath lingers. Ever since Cronus devoured his children, Zeus has never forgiven the Titans. His hatred remains unrelenting. Olympians and Olympian-aligned beings will instinctively distrust, fear, or outright despise you. Certain cities and settlements will refuse you entry if your lineage is discovered.

The tip menu vanished, leaving behind four names, each one carrying the weight of myth and forgotten power.

• Choose Your Patron

Cronus – The Fallen King of Time

Patron of: Tyrants, Usurpers, Those Forgotten by Time

Cronus, father of Zeus and the last ruler of the Titans, was once the god of inevitable death and time itself. He overthrew his own father, Uranus, and in turn, was betrayed by his son. Now, he lingers in the depths of Tartarus, a king without a throne, the personification of fatherly rage.

To walk with Cronus is to carry the weight of those who came before—to bear the sins of others and to endure the suffering meant for them. You will fix the mistakes of the past, even if it means being crushed beneath them.

Patron Boons:

• Future Sight — Glimpse moments into the future. Scales with Mayeia (Magic).

• Time’s Grasp — Slow the world around you for a short duration while maintaining normal speed of thought and movement. Cooldown varies based on Mayeia.

Patron Banes:

• Death of Complacency — Strength grows with time. You start at half power, but as the fight drags on, your might builds until it doubles. However, the longer the battle, the harder it is to remain in control.

• Timely Deterioration — Your magic is more potent, but all spell cooldowns are halved, forcing you to burn through resources faster.

Would Niko choose to follow the Fallen King of Time, stepping into the footsteps of betrayal, war, and endless cycle

-

Dione – The Veiled Mother

Patron of: Seers, Forgotten Gods, Those Who Linger in the Fate of Others

Before Hera, there was Dione—a mother goddess whose name was once spoken in reverence, before time and fate erased her. But she had not faded completely. She still lingers in the divine fabric, a whisper between worlds, a hand that ties together the strands of fate. A patron to those who move unseen, those lost between destinies, and those who listen to the silence between the gods’ voices.

Patron Boons:

• Veil of the Unseen – Grants an innate resistance to divine detection. Gods and their servants will struggle to track you unless you actively draw attention to yourself.

• Prophet’s Curse – Flashes of the future come unbidden, glimpses of the future. The farther you go the less clear it may become.

Patron Bane:

• Unstable Reality – The visions come at a cost. Fragments of alternate timelines bleed through, creating hallucinations, false memories, or glimpses of things that never were. Can cause madness.

To choose Dione was to step outside the Olympians’ game—to become something unseen, something unaccounted for. But in evading the eyes of the gods, he might just lose sight of himself.

-

Hyperion – The Sun Unchained

Patron of: Warriors, Conquerors, Those Burning with Ambition

Before Apollo, there was Hyperion—the true Titan of the Sun. Unlike his grandson, he was not a god of music, poetry, or healing. He was fire without restraint, a force of relentless radiance, the light that burned away all that stood against it. An eternal conqueror. A god who never forgets. A force that never forgives.

Patron Boons:

• Solar Infusion – All attacks carry an innate burning effect, dealing true flame damage—hotter, brighter, and more unrelenting than earthly fire. A flame closer to Hades than the sun.

• Unyielding Radiance – Passively generates an aura of blazing light, dispelling minor illusions and shadow-based magic.

Patron Bane:

• The Burning Mark – Those who walk Hyperion’s path glow faintly at all times, making stealth nearly impossible.

• Frailty of Night – Strength wanes as the sun sets. The longer darkness lingers, the weaker you become.

Hyperion’s path was not one of patience or deception. There would be no hiding, no retreat—only light and destruction. A path for those willing to burn away everything in their way.

-

Themis – The Unshaken Law

Patron of: Judges, Oathkeepers, Those Who Seek Order in Chaos

Themis was not a goddess of war or wrath. She was balance. A force as old as the sky, an entity that even Zeus himself could not break. Where the Olympians played their games of power and betrayal, she remained unmoved—the silent, inescapable force of justice, fate, and truth.

Patron Boons:

• Oathbound – The ability to bind pacts with others. Those who break an oath sworn to you will suffer divine retribution.

• Divine Equilibrium – Strength and endurance increase in proportion to the odds against you. The weaker you are compared to your enemy, the stronger you become.

Patron Bane:

• The Price of Oaths – Once a vow is spoken, it must be upheld. Breaking his own word, even accidentally, will invoke divine punishment.

With Themis, there were no second chances. No loopholes. No mercy. Justice, whether he wanted it or not.

-

Niko’s eyes flicked between the names, each one pulling his attention between all of them.

Choosing Cronus he thought he wouldn’t be trusted, at least that’s how it sounded. He wasn’t sure if he would care honestly. What did trust matter in a world with ghouls and monsters.

Choosing Dione meant slipping between the destiny and fate, maybe in between realities like earth and whatever this place was. Maybe she’s the one that brought him here he thought to himself.

Choosing Hyperion meant he’d be a burning light and burn brighter than most adventurers.

Choosing Themis meant binding himself to fate and swearing fealty to justice.

He looked at Themis one last time, while it would be cool to bind people to laws he made he would not like to bind himself.

Swearing himself to the gods? No, that didn’t seem right. More like they would be a mediator—standing between us and the promises we made, holding the line.

Niko sighed.

He wasn’t sure what he wanted.

* Choose Your Class

Paradox Knight (Master of Fate and Causality)

“Time is not a river—it is a battlefield! And I’m ready for the swim!”

A Paradox Knight bends time and causality, ensuring every strike lands, and every battle ends exactly as they want it to end. They do not merely fight in the present—they fight across three different dimensions. Past, present, and future simultaneously. This makes them one of the most unpredictable warriors to fight against.

Core Abilities:

• Undo Fate – Once per fight, the Paradox Knight can rewind a short period of time (several seconds) to alter a failed action. A missed strike can be redone, a deadly wound erased, or a mistake corrected.

• Multi Strikes – When attacking, the Paradox Knight’s blade exists in multiple moments at once, causing one attack to land multiple times as if their past and future selves are attacking together.

• Gates of Time– By marking a target, the Paradox Knight ensures they will be locked into combat without retreat. Fate itself warps into a cage—blocking their escape. This can make their injuries worsen, or ensuring a killing blow finds its way through if they force retreat upon themselves. However, the greater the target’s will and determination, the harder fate resists.

Playstyle:

• A master of space control. If they commit to a fight, they will learn to control the pace of battle.

• Control-based warrior. Instead of raw strength and physical gains, they rewrite reality to their advantage.

• Works best in single duels or high-stakes battles. Against multiple enemies, they must be selective about which fates they rewrite. This can heavily drain Mayaei.

-

Riftblade assassin

“I move faster than you can think. By the time you see me, I’ve already struck.”

A Riftblade uses time fractures to strike at impossible angles like daggers, appearing and disappearing mid-attack to become an unpredictable blur of motion. They move like ghosts, their attacks coming from different points in time, overwhelming enemies before they can react.

Core Abilities:

• Temporal Lapse – Creates afterimages from past moments, confusing enemies and striking from multiple angles at once. Each afterimage can deal weakened but real damage.

• Split Second – When landing a clean hit, the Riftblade can force the enemy to experience the attack again, as if time rewound and the strike happened twice. This is especially deadly against unarmored foes.

• Blink Assault – Instantly warps between enemies in a short radius, chaining attacks together at lightning speed. Used wisely, it can clear entire groups in seconds.

Playstyle:

• Extreme mobility and high-speed strikes.

• Prefers assassinations and quick skirmishes—not suited for prolonged battles.

• Unpredictable, designed to overwhelm enemies before they can react.

-

Warden of Waning Sands (Titan of the Battlefield, Slow-Burning Juggernaut)

“Time erodes all things. I simply expedite it.”

A Warden of Waning Sands embodies the patience of time—an unstoppable force that grows stronger the longer the battle lasts. They are tanks, starting slow but becoming an invincible juggernaut of destruction.

Core Abilities:

• March of the Inevitable – Every passing moment increases the Warden’s strength, speed, and energy reserves. At the start of a fight, they may be weaker than their opponent, but the longer they endure, the stronger they become—until they are an unstoppable force.

• Borrowed Time – Can store received damage and delay it. This allows them to fight through fatal wounds temporarily, giving them extra time to win before the pain catches up.

• Eternal Bastion – The more wounded the Warden is, the slower time moves for their enemies. This makes them terrifying in drawn-out battles, as even near-death, they can react faster than those at full strength.

Playstyle:

• A slow-burning powerhouse—requires patience but becomes monstrous over time.

• Excels in sieges, prolonged battles, and wars where endurance matters more than speed.

• Works best against multiple weaker enemies or single larger threats.

-

Fatebreaker (Temporal Gladiator, Master of Counters and Precision)

“You strike first. I strike better.”

A Fatebreaker is a warrior who fights reactively and retroactively, using foresight and counterattacks to exploit every enemy’s mistake. They see the future seconds ahead and adjust in real-time to ensure victory.

Core Abilities:

• Parry the Future – If an enemy attacks within their vision, the Fatebreaker sees it coming before it happens. This allows for near-perfect parries and counters, making them deadly in duels.

• Chrono-Step – Instantly moves a short distance forward or backward in time, dodging attacks just before they land and reappearing in a better position.

• Inevitable Strike – Once per battle, the Fatebreaker can declare an attack destined to land, no matter what. It ignores armor, dodging, or magical defenses—if it is swung, it will strike.

Playstyle:

• The ultimate duelist—perfect in one-on-one combat.

• Master of counterattacks, using foresight and precise timing rather than brute force.

• Excels against skilled fighters but struggles against overwhelming numbers.

Expanded Version

Fatebreaker Selected!

[Error-rr-or-rorororo]

Niko flinched as the screen glitched, the text flickering erratically. Lines of distorted symbols scrolled past his vision, twisting and reforming faster than he could comprehend. A jarring, high-pitched screech rang out.

* Choose Your Item

[Err-o-erro-or-or-orrr]

Niko tried to move, to back out, to do anything—but the interface was locked. His fingers twitched against the selection rune, but his body refused to respond.

* Golden Hourblade Selected!

A shrill, artificial voice rang through his head.

“What the hell—I didn’t choose any of that! What’s going on here?!”

His breath hitched. The air around him flew upward in a warm draft. A heatless, invisible force coiled around his limbs. Translucent serpents of warm air curled around his body tugging in a warm embrace.

The interface crackled again. For a split second, something else flashed across the screen—symbols he knew nothing about. A whisper of an old man’s voice finally hit his ears..

“A choice beyond choice… The hour unbroken…I have chosen you Niko… We are now one…A new child is born…This world shall be ours…”

The screen shattered into multiple golden pieces looking like an IMAX intro to a blockbuster film.

Niko began to fall through air. Fall through clouds. His hair pushed up to his face as his back bellowed to earth. Or away from it.

Was this what happens when you die? Your soul gets pushed through your body to the sky and out to space? I thought you would just wake up in heaven not be dragged to it by an angel or demon.

The Vision of Olympus.

The world around Niko fractured in the air.

Reality blurred, bleeding away like blood wet ink, and suddenly—he was gone.

A battlefield stretched before him, woven from A gods fate. The sky churned with golden brown clouds, warping and crackling with divine energy. Thunder raged above, splitting the heavens in violent streaks of white-hot fury. Below, Olympus burned. Above Zeus filled the sky in the shape of an inhuman cloud. He reached back to strike down with a thundering lightning bolt.

Marble pillars lay shattered by the sonic boom. The grand steps of the Parthenon, once pristine, were fractured and crumbling under the weight the sky above. Soldiers—mortal and divine alike—clashed in a brutal melee. War cries and dying screams blended into a chaotic symphony of restlessness and unnerving clattering of blades.

And at the heart of it all, he stood.

His body felt different—muscular, stronger. Faster. Power pulsed through his wrists as he wiggled his fingers, surging like molten iron in his veins. A battered red cloak trailed behind him, torn at the edges, burned at the edges. It was flaring with the movement of the wind. The Hourblade glowing yellow in his grasp had a suction to it, the wind around swirled and went into his grip. The Shield of Ares was strapped to his left arm, still holding the long crack amongst the top.

And ahead, Zeus was angered.

The King of the Gods stood above the ruined temple, lightning wreathed around his arms, his gaze burning with electric energy, a divine wrath. The winds howled as he descended from the storm, his electric spear crackling with enough power to bathe the world in blueish yellow.

Then—Mikaela screamed.

Niko barely turned before he saw it. A stray bolt, hit her.

Mikaela, his friend—the wiry woman who had always helped him, who had fought beside him, who had saved him was struck. The strike had torn through her chest, electric veins scorching her skin black, darker than that. Her eyes were wide, mouth slightly open—like she was trying to say something.

But the words never came out.

She collapsed.

Something inside Niko snapped, an anger worse than that, an endless rage. His emotions were usually dulled out from his skill. But he felt a cold chill creep up his back.

The battlefield slowed. He creaked with yellow lightning, but this wasn’t Zeus’s energy. It was his. His red hair turned orange and flew into a flurry overhead. The thunder became a distant hum to him. The movement of soldiers became sluggish, the golden sky dulling to gray. Even Zeus seemed caught in the shift—his form flickering as time slowed

Cronus’s voice came through his mind.

“See now, child… the end that awaits you. The fate that binds you. This is your war. This is your vengeance.”

Rage ignited.

Power roared to life inside Niko, a storm of golden streaks ripping across his limbs. His mind focusing into singular focus.

He dashed in a golden streak..

One moment, he was on the ground—the next, he was in the sky.

He shot forward, zipping between the ruined pillars, dodging falling debris and divine lightning. Zeus barely had time to react before the Hourblade slashed toward his chest. Their weapons clashed—light against time, thunder against future.

Zeus reared his face back and slung his lightning spear—Niko warped to the left dodging. He blinked behind him, spinning in midair, slamming his shield into the god’s back and sending him hurtling through the remains of the Parthenon.

The ground shook.

Zeus rose.

Niko descended.

And then—
