City night, the stars shine brightly in the sky, accompanied by the big bright moon. The street lights made the street look as if it was daytime. All of the city was bright and lively except for a small alleyway, where a tall girl with brown hair was sitting there, crying. The girl was 16, she had green eyes and through these eyes, tears dropping. She cried, quietly, as if she didn’t want anyone to hear her, trying to avoid anybody of noticing her.
Another girl, 16 and a half with a slim body and dark red hair, with dirty and cut clothes, while walking through the alleyways which were connected to each other, in a haze, noticed the tall girl sobbing and immediately returned to her senses. The slim girl was acquaintanced with the tall girl and dashed towards her.
“What happened?!”
“It's nothing…”
The tall girl as she wiped the tears off her face.
“Let me look at your back-”
“Stop! No wai-”
While the tall girl was trying to stop her, the slim girl forcefully pulled the end of the tall girl’s shirt to reveal her red back, full of cuts.
“I knew it! He beat you again didn’t he?”
“I… I…”
The tall girl started crying again only to be hugged by the slim girl.
“Oh come here.”

Ever since they have met, Himari and Sarah are meeting at this exact spot every night, and so did they planned to do the next night, Himari sat in the same alleyway waiting for Sarah.
*step* *step*
It was dark but Himari could make a figure out of the shadows, it was walking towards her it was familiar, Sarah, as she was walking towards her direction. Himari stood up, walking towards the shadow with her hands wide open as if she is ready to hug her. But before she could do so, she had noticed a man standing next to Sarah, grabbing her by her shirt’s sleeve. The man was tall with dark hair and green eyes, it was Himari’s father.
“Let go of me!”
Himari was about to burst out crying, but she couldn’t cry in front
of her father, she was too scared.
“So this is why your grades were lower than usual. From now on you are not allowed to hang out with this girl. Why would my perfect girl hang out with a street punk anyway?!”
He was angry, yelling at the two girls in such a way that would scare most adults.
“She is not a punk she’s my friend! And her grades are better than mine...”
Hearing this, his fist rose to the air, he was about to hit her, but stopped, remembering that Sarah was there. He didn’t want anyone to see him hitting his daughter.
“I don’t want to hear any of these lies! Why can’t you be more like your sister, when she was your age she got accepted to the ‘Teenager University Program’, but you just slack off every evening in this alleyway!”
“Stop comparing me to her!”
Then her face became red, and the tears started dropping.
“My sister is dead!”
Sarah didn’t want to see her friend crying so she started to struggle, trying to get away, but Himari’s dad held her tight, not letting her to move.
“You are coming with me Himari! And say goodbye to your ‘friend’ because this is going to be the last time you see her!”
He pushed Sarah away and grabbed Himari by her shirt, pulling her out of the alleyway. She couldn’t resist, she could only try to hold back the tears.
“N-no! S-Stop! SARAH!”
Himari screamed in agony as she tried to reach out Sarah with her hand, but she was too far away.
“Now Sarah was it?, be a good girl and stay out of this, I forbid you and Himari to meet again! And you Himari, I will punish you when we get home.”
His face turned red with anger, getting even worse every time Himari resisted.
In a moment of anger and a somewhat clear mind, Sarah picked up a broken glass bottle that was laying on the ground and threw it at Himari’s dad, hitting him in the shoulder.
“Argh! YOU BITCH!”
As Himari’s father backed off for a second, loosening the grip he had on Himari, Himari realized her chance to escape and pulled herself with force over to Sara’s direction. Sarah reached out and grabbed Himari’s hand and pulled her out of his grab. Sarah and Himari started running as fast as they could, out of the alleyway an towards the main road.
“Oh god… You have taken the wrong daughter...”
And that was the last words Himari ever heard of from her father as she ran off with Sarah, holding her hand and letting all the tears out.
