You know what I was not planning on dying today. I mean I wasn't planning to die at all but still I was hoping that today wasn't the day I died. Today wasn't anything special but I was only 20! Who wants to die at 20! And yes I know they are some but I wasn't one of them.
So I was dead. I had a few thoughts about what it would be like the most prominent one was nothing... But that is clearly not the case as I wouldn't be having that chat would I or is it a rambling as no one can hear me? Well that doesn't matter at the moment what does matter is that I can still think. Which means I'm not dead or being dead isn't the end of things and I'm still going with being dead as I saw that bus crush me.
So what is it like being dead, well not too bad to be honest, boring like really boring but comfortable and white. It's just an endless sea of white it could be really small, massive, the space I'm in but no way of telling because of the whiteness.
I didn't know how long I was in the whiteness for but all of a sudden I was standing and a man was opposite me smiling. 'Never mind, I must have been in a coma.' As I looked down at my body still in the whiteness but hay that might just be the way to help people out of comas?
"No you are not in a coma, you are quite dead at the moment." The smiling man said.
'Could he read my mind?' And as I look at him he looked a lot like Morgan Freeman in that one movie where he played god. 'Wait is Morgan Freeman god?'
"No I'm not Mr. Freeman, yes he looks a lot like me, I am sort of a god but not the one you are thinking of and no I can't read your mind but I have done this enough times to know what people are mostly thinking when they see me." The man who wasn't Morgan Freeman said in a very similar voice to Morgan Freeman.
"Okay and why am I here? Wait, am I being isekai!?" I shouted with some excitement before raining myself back in.
The Not-Morgan-Freeman smile. "Yes you are being isekai but it does come with some catches." The way he said it in his deep smooth voice almost made me not pay attention to the 'catch' part of what he was saying.
"What catches is it like I reincarnate as a tree or something?" Looking at the Not-Morgan-Freeman with a bit more caution.
"Sort of but that part will not be the problem, it's the job and the type of job you get is the catch to all this." He kept the same smile the entire time.
"Okay, okay, so what is the job, who's hiring me and what I'm I reincarnating as?"
"Well a new world has been born and for a chance it wanted gods and the system agreed, next is the thing that you are being reincarnated as a god but the race will be random and lastly the job is to help the world and any other world fight against the demon legions."
I look at the Not-Morgan-Freeman. "So I've become a god?" I said a bit dumbfounded by the fact that I will be a god.
"Yes but we do have a bit of a timeline so you will have to come to terms with this as we go," as he said this a pear of dice appeared in his hands but for the life of me I couldn't tell how many sides it had. "You just need to roll these dice. One will pick your race, the other will be your domain."
"Okay." I said and rolled the dice. They changed shape, size, side and colour as they rolled over the white nothingness of the floor and when they came to a stop. "Human and Ash."
"Not today. Well off you go." Not-Morgan-Freeman said before grading me and tossed me.
As I went flying I could now tell you that the white nothingness was quite a large room or what I think is a room. After like a second or two I hit what I think is the wall. 'You know it was a hard day today you can't expect me to keep track of how quickly I hit a white nothingness wall. And yes I know I'm whining.'
After hitting the wall I saw a sea of stars and it was beautiful seeing all of them, they even made the void look bright and cheerful. Before I could enjoy the view anymore the universe must have thought that I had enough as I started flying towards one of the stars. And let me tell you that the next 10 seconds was the most unpleasant thing to happen to me so far and yes I'm courting my death amongst things that have happened. As the star burned my soul with a ungodly amount of pain that I was certain should have broken my mind but something was keeping it together then blackness.

You would think that the ground would be uncomfortable to sleep on but it was quite nice. The grass was soft. I could hear a nice sound of water moving close by. I was quite happy staying like that until I heard someone sodding close by and that little noise seemed to cause a chain-reaction as the noise of other people moving and making noise started to pick up.
As I hear all of this I push myself up and open my eyes to a very nice glade and the only thing that ruins the scene was the nine other people in the glade. The one that was crying was a boy that could have been 14 or 15 years old. Ugly crying not loud but still I don't think he had stopped yet. As I looked at him I could feel something come off him like a pressure. It was weak but still there and something else mixed in with it and I got the feeling of starlight.
"Stop crying, you just ruined the moment." A woman says. As I turned around to see her, she was around my height with a pixie cut blue hair and stormy grey eyes as she glared at the boy.
"Now there is no need for harsh words, we all just died." A charming looking man with light blonde hair said as she crouched down next to the boy giving a comforting shoulder squeeze.
As the rest of us gathered around the three who looked like they had the best grasp or at least two as the boy was still crying.
"So you all died to what killed you?" I asked the group as it was a bit weird just looking at the crying kid.
"Bus." Which nearly everyone said at the same time. which got looks from everyone.
"Did everyone die to a bus?" The woman that spoke before said and everyone gave some form of a nob.
We stood there in silence for a moment not sure what we should do. As I imagine everyone here is a god or goddess to that when I thought 'stats' just to see if it bit anything and it bit.

"Hey guys has anyone tried looking at their stats?" I asked and as one even the crying kid stopped and gained a far off look on their faces.
"What the fuck I'm a goddess of rain!" The woman almost shouted as other people made noise similar to some happier or just as angry as the woman.
"I'm leaving." A bold looking man said. Well that was sudden.
"Friend I don't think that's wise, this is a new worl-" Blond guy said before the bold guy cut him off.
"I don't care what you think. We are gods and now this world is ours and if anything has a problem with that we will make it see reason," And for the first time in my life I saw someone actually sneer. "And if anyone doesn't want to waste their time with a crying baby you can follow me." And like that he just turned around and left. What really surprised me was that five others went with him! Was he that persuasive because he didn't sound that persuasive?
I turned to the now only three left and they had the same shock that I must have mirrored on my face too. "Was he really that persuasive?"
"I don't think so..?" The rain woman said. "Well I would like to join him, something tells me that it would be quite a bad idea. But let me introduce myself. I'm Lera and now goddess of rain." she said that last did with a bit of displeasure. Now that I had more her face was smooth with a light scattering of freckles and the clothing was of a simple dark tanned T-shirt and brown pans which I noticed we were all wearing.
"Well if we introduce ourselves I'm Thorn god of music sadly nothing useful for surviving." His eyes are a lively green and a sharp face.
'I didn't know if I should give my real name but...' "I'm Asher which is funny as I'm a god of ash." It wasn't my real name but I'm probably never going back to earth so I might as well leave behind anything from the old world and Asher is a good name as any other.
"Really, that can't be your real name, that's just..." Lera said but I only smiled. "Well it doesn't matter at the moment. So who are you and what are you a god of?" As Lera turned her gaze onto the boy. Who at this point stopped crying but still had watery eyes and red from the crying.
"I.. I'm Altair god. God o.. of Star Light..." The kid had short black hair and blue eyes. He was skinny as well as being a bit short for what I think his age was.
"Well as we all know everyone's name I think we should try and find some shelter before it becomes dark." Thorn said well, making his way to the opposite direction from the bold mans group.

(1 Month On New World) 1 Month Later
'Well it has been about a month since we got here and the reason I know this is because Altair found a time keeping track in the system. But enough of that, this month has been hard on us as to no one's surprise but ours. None of us had any training in surviving in the wild and the only thing that stopped us from starving was the system as well as our domain.'
Classes: 1
Survivor 6
Skills: 4
Ash Aura - Domain
Scavenger - Survivor
Den Builder - Survivor
Forest Step - Survivor
The three survivor skills did what they said, Scavenger allowed me to find edible food and other useful stuff like flint, Den Builder was just as it said as well it made me make livable places to stay much quicker and easier. The last one was at first a bit hard to see its effect but with a bit of experimentation we were able to figure it out.
Forest Step - Survivor
You move quicker well in wooded areas and make less noise.
I also only gained the skills after I gained the levels in Survivor like Forest Step only showed up after a few days of trying to hunt. But I had little skill in hunting but to my surprise and I think for the others as well but Altair was quite skillful in hunting he even got a class for it, the Hunter class. We all got something different. I got the Survivor, Altair got Hunter, Thorn had the Crafter class and Lera was able to get Cook class. Same with all of them they only go the skills after the levels with Thorn having four skills and Lera having five skills.
Now we had to move a lot. That's why I think I got the Den Builder skill for making so many dens. That was because of the Domain skills we all had. At first we couldn't figure out what they did as the system wouldn't come up with details so we just left it be in till I got my first level.
"Hay Asher, what's with all of the ash?" Lera asks in a not too happy tone.
"What are you talking about?" As I moved out of my little sleeping area I saw the entire area around my sleeping hut covered in ash. It also got onto are food with some of it turned into ash.
That caused a bit of tension between us till Thorn asked me to see if I could pull up any information about my domain skill.
Ash Aura - Domain
As a god you affect the world around you as it affects you and your Domain skills are others effects.
Ash Aura creates a field of ash around you that you can control. Power, amount, size, types and control.
It was good to know what the skill did but we quickly found out that I couldn't turn off the skill, only stop it turning things into ash. But ash would still slowly appear around me. I had little problem with the ash but I could see why the others didn't like it that much. Also something that the system didn't say about the skill was that I instinctively knew a lot about ash and what effects it had on the world like that ash I was making now was good for the land but I could make it poisonous instead. But still even making it good for the land and plants too much will still make it deadly. I didn't know the exact reason for it to be like that but maybe one day I will figure it out.
But as the day went on all of us gained a level and their domains activated which was the many reasons for us needing to move. Altair had the least affecting skill when it came to the environment but it was quite offensive that allowed him to do the most magical thing we have seen on this world and that was shooting small projectiles at things it wasn't too strong yet but it did allow us to get more meat for food. Thorn was next and this was the most useful of the domain skills as it played music around him that gave small buffs but it was a little hard to sleep with it on as Thorn had to keep his mind focused on the type of effect and well he is sleeping it sometimes changed into quite a loud noise.
But the thing that truly had us needing to move was the Lera domain which might have been the strongest or at least had the biggest effect as. Every 24 hours it would start raining and it wouldn't stop at all... But it did help with the ash that I made and I think it might help the plants in the future. Right now not that great as the dens I make are okay but constant rain is not a chance.
So a lot of walking to keep ahead of the rain which hasn't been that fun at all. But one thing that kept my spirits up was that if four of us were having this much trouble I can only imagine what it's like for the other group if they are still even a group any more.

Month 2 on New World
Thorn learned how to use magic and got a class out of it Bush Mage which didn't do much at the moment other than allow him to shoot mane out of this hand and shape it a bit.
----------------------------------------
Month 2 week 1 on New World
We have all learned how to use magic which got us all levels and we all got skills out of it that affected other classes. The class I got which I didn't understand why I got was the Druid class. It might have because I tried pushing mane into the plants and ash around me to see if it would do anything and that got me the class. With the class came a skill Ash Touch which allowed me to turn plants into ash. Which I found a did depressing as I could sort of did that with Ash Aura and I didn't need to be able to do that better or faster but as the system wills.
The other skill was better. It was for Survivor and was called Camouflage which allowed me to hide my dens as well as myself and others if they were close to me. It did use mana to the illusion up but it was a fixed price that I had to pay if we didn't have to move. I also found out that I had a lot of mana as did the others. It might be a god thing or Camouflage wasn't that expensive but I didn't think so.
The skill did come in handy quite quickly as we kept moving. We started seeing monsters and we didn't have any weapons other than sharp stones on sticks. So thanks to the skill we could sleep with some clear heads mostly. But one of the most useful things that Camouflage did was keeping Thorn's domain quite well. We slept and by far one of the best nights I had since coming to the New World. Also we need to come up with a name for the world.
