Whispers filled the forest as a girl walked beneath the branches of the great tree. The winds sang softly, dancing across the tree tops. Throughout the clearing the leaves flew, encircling the girl.

Standing below the branches of the tree, I felt the energy pulsing throughout its veins. Leaves around me glowed with a soft light. I pressed my fingers to the trunk, and as I felt the bark I felt at home. A sense of safety I had never felt before overcame me.

The winds around me spoke in the singsong voices of little children. I listened but I could not hear, I couldn’t understand. Looking to the tree I felt it answer the question never asked. The energy everywhere as it flowed throughout this world, and in turn returned to this single tree. All of it was visible to me, everything that lived in this land.

The energy surged for a moment and a light pulsed across the bark as I brought my other hand to the trunk of the tree. For a moment the surface rippled, bringing my hands to it I spread it wide. Without knowing how I had known to do such I stepped into the tree.

All at once I felt the tree, felt the world and it accepted me. My mind was no longer my mind, it was a part of this world now. From this tree new lines of energy spread across the land.

New beings appeared where these lines ended, each different yet the same. All were born of my energy as it scattered across the world. These would be my legacy, they would be its people. My daughters would be accepted into this land, they would be part of it.
