Chapter 1

Percy POV:

Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon and arguably the greatest demigod in generations, stared ahead lifelessly as the award ceremony on Olympus took place around him. It had been a little over a month since they won the war, and still, the celebration on Mt. Olympus was deafening to all, even to those inside the throne room.

Staring down at the chipped drakon bone sword on his lap, he couldn't help but feel like it was a hollow victory as his mind replayed the events that took away his better half.

He and Annabeth had been captured shortly after the battle inside the Acropolis had begun, and their blood had been the catalyst that awakened Gaea. It was only because of teamwork and a little luck that Jason, Leo, and Piper managed to put the Earth Mother back to sleep.

The man bit down on his cheek, a distraction from the pain he felt failing his friend Leo. The son of Hephaestus had sacrificed himself in the end, and Percy despised the fact that he wasn't able to save him either.

Then, before they even had a moment to mourn their fallen friend, Lord Hermes appeared with an urgent missive. Polybotes had made it through the Doors of Death before they had managed to close them, and the Giant had rallied the remainder of the monster's army to attack Camp Half-Blood.

Despite their haggard appearance, the remaining seven, plus the gods' arrival, immediately turned the tides of battle in the camp's favor. Soon, Percy found himself with his father, Poseidon, battling Polybotes. The sea god was the only one allowed to interfere in the battle since Polybotes was his antithesis.

The fight was intense and a flurry of blows. Despite the father-son duo outclassing the Giant in melee, Polybotes was still a giant created to oppose one of the big three. As such, he wouldn't go down easily.

Percy held back tears as he vividly remembered the mistake that cost him everything.

Polybotes lunged at Poseidon with a powerful sweep, his massive Trident aimed for the sea god's heart, forcing his father back. Percy saw his opening and rushed in, sword drawn, aiming to slice the Giant's shin. But Polybotes was faster than he anticipated, and the Trident came down upon him before he could react.

The son of Poseidon braced himself for impact, steeling himself for death. But it never came. Instead, he heard a loud crack and the sound of breaking bone.

Opening his eyes, time stood still as he saw Annabeth, the love of his life and the woman who always had his back, standing between him and the Giant. Her sword raised in a desperate attempt to block the strike.

But it was too late. The force of Polybotes' blow had shattered Annabeth's sword, leaving a deep chip in its side that sent splinters flying in all directions.

That wasn't what made time stand still for Percy, though. No, it was the small piece of drakon bone that had broken off and sliced through Annabeth's neck, nicking her jugular vein.

Percy felt his heart stop as he dropped Riptide and caught Annabeth before she hit the ground. His hands immediately went to her throat, trying to stop the blood gushing from the wound. Prayers to Asclepius and Apollo fell from his lips as he desperately tried to save the love of his life.

The son of the sea paid no heed to the goddess of wisdom who had joined the fray, his emotions causing his powers to surge and swirl in a tempestuous hurricane around himself and Annabeth. Mortal scientists would be confounded for years by the sudden appearance of the most powerful storm ever witnessed by mankind over Long Island Sound.

But Percy's focus was solely on saving Annabeth. He could hear her futile attempts to speak as she choked on her own blood, her life slipping away before his very eyes. Desperate to save her, he tried to control her blood as he had done in Tartarus against Akhlys, screaming in exertion as he pushed himself beyond his limits.

Yet, instead of success, he was met with a sharp twist in his gut, his body drained of energy. In a moment of desperation, Percy reached for his bag and hastily mixed together nectar and ambrosia into a paste that he spread over Annabeth's wound.

Only for his heart to sink as the concoction failed to work quickly enough. The pool of blood in her throat continued to grow despite the godly food and drink he had administered.

With only one option left that he could think of, Percy shoved multiple squares of ambrosia into his mouth and gulped down the remaining quart of nectar. His body immediately ignited with an intense heat, as though a volcano was erupting from within him.

But it didn't matter; all that mattered was saving Annabeth.

Using every ounce of strength and power coursing through his veins, Percy focused on manipulating the blood in Annabeth's body once again. This time, it backfired with a searing pain that eclipsed even the River Styx. His agonized screams echoed throughout the battlefield, piercing through the chaos and confusion around them.

As he gazed into his girlfriend's tear-filled eyes, Percy's heart shattered into a million pieces. He desperately wiped away her tears, trying to reassure her as best he could, but they both knew she was dying. Tears streamed down his face as he cradled her in his lap, his fingers tangling in her hair.

Despite her pain and impending death, Annabeth mustered the strength to whisper six words that only Percy could hear.

"I'll love you forever, Seaweed Brain."

And with those words being spoken, she accepted her fate. Percy could only weep in despair as he watched the light fade from her eyes, and her body go limp in his arms.

He couldn't move, couldn't think. The sounds of battle faded into nothingness as he was consumed by an overwhelming sense of loss and guilt. It felt like his entire world had come crashing down around him, leaving behind nothing but ashes and emptiness.

But then, a name ignited a fire within him. Polybotes.

Suddenly, Percy was no longer in the darkness of his grief. He was back at Half-Blood Hill, sitting in ankle-deep water, watching Polybotes push Athena aside and block his father's Trident.

And just like a volcano that had been dormant for too long, Percy's rage erupted. With trembling hands, he closed Annabeth's lifeless eyes and commanded the water to carry her to safety with Chiron. He would mourn later; right now, vengeance was burning in his veins.

The son of Poseidon whispered a final goodbye to his love as she floated away on the water, his words falling on deaf ears.

A moment later, the legendary demigod stood tall and faced Polybotes with a hatred so raw and primal that the Giant could feel it and turned his head. But when their gazes met, the demigod's furious gaze was returned with only booming laughter from the monster.

"I take it I killed that blonde bitch? Such a shame. She would've made for a great whore and war prize. She was stubborn, but those are always more fun to break-"

Polybotes didn't have a chance to finish his sentence before Percy was on him. Swinging Riptide with a ferocity and accuracy that could rival Achilles himself. The furious Sea-green glow that surrounded him was the only thing giving him away as not being the ancient hero.

With each strike of his sword, a bolt of lightning crackled through the air, fueled by the son of Poseidon's pain and rage. The monster army surrounding them was being decimated by the powerful storm, and the demigods could only watch in awe and terror at the destruction happening around them.

Even the gods themselves were astonished at the sheer power emanating from the young demigod, as they were reminded of a youthful and unrestrained Poseidon in his prime.

Percy's body was ablaze with divine energy, his insides churning and burning from the food and drink of the gods he had devoured. Power was surging through him in a frenzied rush but also flowing out of him just as quickly as he unconsciously channeled the energy faster than it could incinerate his human form.

With every move, he unleashed his anguish and rage upon Polybotes, leaving behind a trail of bloody cuts and bruises. And then, something unexpected happened - Percy felt something. A stinging sensation on his cheek from a droplet of water, and he remembered Polybotes' unique ability to turn water into poison.

Unconsciously touching his cheek in the throne room at the reminder, Percy's mind drifted back to his memories and the horrible thoughts that took hold of his mind at that moment.

With sadistic determination, he gathered all of the poisonous water that formed after coming into contact with Polybotes' body and channeled it into a massive reservoir.

Then, unflinching, he forced the toxic liquid into every part of the Giant's body - his eyes, ears, nose, and throat. Polybotes struggled against it, but Percy was relentless. All he could think about was making the Giant suffer for what he did to Annabeth - and more.

So, he turned the temperature of the poisonous water up till it was boiling, keeping a portion of it on the Giant's nose and mouth to stop him from breathing. Polybotes fell to his knees, dropping his weapon, as he began to desperately claw at his face.

Percy knew the poison in the water itself didn't affect the deity, but it was the closest he could get to hurting the Giant with a thing of its own creation, like the blood that had suffocated Annabeth.

And when he felt that the pain was not enough, he took it one step further - castrating Poseidon's antithesis without hesitation. Throughout it all, the demigod stared at the writhing Giant with pure hatred in his heart.

The son of Gaia begged for mercy as Percy's actions left him mutilated and broken. However, it wasn't until a hand fell on his shoulder, breaking him from his trance-like state, that he realized what he had done.

Looking around the battlefield, he saw the destruction his actions had caused. Several trees had been ripped out of the ground, there was water that was shin-deep, and several campers and gods were staring at him in fear.

Turning back to Polybotes, Percy gasped and sobbed at the sight before him. The Giant was unrecognizable, disfigured with snot and ichor covering his face and missing his manhood. Poseidon looked on with pity before delivering the final blow with his Trident, turning Polybotes to dust once again.

Percy collapsed to his knees as his emotions overwhelmed him, disgusted at what he had become. He let himself turn into the thing that Annabeth feared the most. He became a monster, worse than the one he was in Tartarus.

Sobs wracked his body for but a moment as the legendary demigod fought to control himself. Before picking himself up with his father's help, he would grieve later. For now, he would help his fellow brethren honor the fallen.

With robotic-like actions, he, a few volunteers from the second Titanomachy, and a few gods collected bodies for a proper burial. At the same time, the remaining campers and nature spirits built pyres for the fallen.

Meanwhile, Athena herself wove beautiful shrouds for their mass funeral.

By nightfall, only two shrouds were left to burn, those of Annabeth & Leo, and only one had a body underneath it. Percy felt a weird sense of Deja vu as Hephaestus lit his son's shroud, eerily reminding him of Beckendorf's sacrifice and funeral.

'Another friend he had lost because he wasn't strong enough.'

The thought didn't strike a spark of determination inside him like it once did. Instead, he just felt empty and lost. With that feeling increasing as he and Athena grabbed a torch and lit both ends of Annabeth's shroud simultaneously.

He didn't fully understand the extent of his mental state until his first therapy session a couple days later. Where his therapist explained that he was suffering from a combination of dissociation, post-traumatic stress disorder, a brain injury, and guilt for surviving while Annabeth died.

While the therapy itself was with an Atlantean therapist, something his father set up for him after they had a long conversation a couple of days after the funeral, it took place three times a week in his cabin after they learned he rarely left the four walls.

It wasn't until the second week that his therapist recommended he start reliving the tragedy as a way to cope and deal with the trauma, something he was able to do thanks to his inherent nature as a demigod. Because according to his therapist, his brain was hardwired to move past loss since it was so frequent in their world.

"Perseus Jackson."

Boomed Poseidon's voice through the throne room, breaking Percy out of his thoughts and forcing him to focus back on the ceremony at hand.

Immediately, the demigod's eyes roamed the council, taking in the gods and the remaining seven. Jason and Piper were positively glowing, and it didn't take a genius to realize they were now immortal.

Frank and Hazel, meanwhile, looked content and happy with no more paranoia or hidden fear. Which meant that Frank most likely had his curse removed, and Hazel was allowed to stay in the land of the living.

And for the first time in weeks, he felt something other than sorrow and guilt. He was glad that his friends had gotten what they deserved and were happy.

His eyes then moved to the Olympians seated around the council; Aphrodite seemed torn between sobbing and celebration, her form almost a spitting image of Annabeth, causing a pang in his heart as the goddess was racked by another round of sobs.

Ares, Dionysus, and Hephaestus sat a little straighter in their chairs, concentrating on him. Hermes and Apollo gave him a smile and thumbs up, while Artemis and Athena gave him a nod of respect.

His attention was then on Demeter and Hera, the only two who seemed indifferent to the proceedings. Finally, he turned to the two brothers. While his father exuded an air of pride, happiness, and sympathy. Zeus exuded an air of dejected acceptance.

"Do any believe my son to be unworthy?" Poseidon's voice quieted the throne room, just as it did at the last award ceremony.

Realizing what was happening, the son of the sea went and kneeled in front of Zeus's throne, waiting for the King of the Gods to offer the reward Percy knew he would turn down.

"Perseus Jackson," Zeus spoke. "For your help defeating the giants, the council once again offers you godhood. Do you accept?"

Percy couldn't help but wonder how the rest of the seven were reacting to hearing he had been offered godhood once before. Without missing a beat, the legendary demigod met Zeus's steely gaze with one of his own.

He knew that if he turned this down, the council would view it as the biggest insult in its history, and he was unsure if his father would be able to protect him. Yet he couldn't find it in himself to care.

"I graciously decline your offer, King Zeus. Once again, I would request three wishes in its place if it pleases the council."

The effect was immediate; storm clouds rolled into the throne room, and he could smell the ozone as Zeus's face contorted into fury.

"YOU DARE!" He thundered.

As Zeus raised his bolt, Poseidon called out, slamming his Trident on the marbled floor.

"ENOUGH BROTHER!"

Poseidon's voice had an edge, and everyone in the room recognized what it meant. If Zeus struck his son down, there would be another war.

Percy couldn't help but feel a bit of appreciation towards his father at his willingness to go to war for him so soon after the second Gigantomachy. Sending a silent prayer of thanks to the sea god, the council watched with bated breath as the two brothers stared each other down.

"If you strike him down, Olympus will also find itself at war with the Underworld, brother."

Hades' words shocked everyone in the Throne Room, mostly because they forgot the ruler of the Underworld was in attendance. Zeus stared at his two brothers, a challenging glint in his eye. Still, it wasn't until Hestia spoke that the King of Olympus finally relented.

"Should you strike Perseus down, Zeus, you will need to find yourself a new keeper of the Hearth."

The entire council was shocked by the usually silent goddess's proclamation, and the youngest son of Kronos and Rhea took a moment to compose himself. The storm clouds slowly receded, and Zeus spoke again, a subdued fury in his eyes.

"Make your three wishes, boy. So long as they are within the council's power, they shall be granted."

Percy nodded, but he wanted to ensure they followed through with his wishes this time, which required something more substantial than the River Styx. Thanks to his studies with Annabeth, he knew just the name that fit the criteria.

Shoving the grief to the back of his mind at the thought of her, Percy once again stared Zeus in his eyes. He was unsure if the god would strike him down or not or how the rest of the gods would react.

"Before we began, I would appreciate it if you swore on Chaos herself that you will do your best to uphold these wishes, as the Styx didn't seem to keep you to your word last time."

Again, the thunderclouds rolled back in, but this time, he could feel the weight of several other gods' anger at his accusation.

Before anyone else could speak, Percy heard his father, Poseidon's voice staving the council from smiting him then and there.

"Son, please explain yourself. This is a serious accusation, on top of a very dangerous and powerful name you invoke."

This time, he looked every god and goddess in the eyes as he spoke.

"When I was last here, I wished for three things, of which two were granted. Yet, no peaceful Titans were released from their prisons. Something I learned when Leo spoke of his journey to and from Ogygia."

At his statement, all the gods' gazes turned to Zeus. Who, for his part, didn't back down.

"I was planning on doing it eventually. The boy never specified when."

Immediately, the rest of the council let out an uproar, none more so than Artemis and Apollo. Which made sense, considering their mother was one of the peaceful titans. With a sigh, Zeus lowered his bolt, the storm clouds receding once again.

"Very well, Perseus. I, Zeus, King of Olympus, swear on Chaos the Creator to uphold Perseus's three wishes to the best of my ability."

A strong breeze went through the throne room, dropping the temperature by at least ten degrees, as a deafening roar of thunder rumbled outside. The gods turned to Zeus, expecting the Drama King to be the cause, only to see his face losing color. At once, all the gods and goddesses paled, realizing that the reaction wasn't Zeus's doing.

A flicker of doubt crossed Perseus's face, believing he made a mistake invoking such a name, but when nothing else happened, his features returned to normal. There were fates worse than death, and he was positive Chaos could deliver, so with a breath, he began his wishes.

"First, I want all peaceful Titans from the second Titanomachy and Gigantomachy to be given their freedom immediately, and any Titan that was peaceful during the second Titan war but took up arms in the second Giant war to be pardoned."

Zeus nodded at Hermes, who disappeared. The King of the gods then motioned for him to continue.

"My second wish is for Hades & Hestia to have seats on the council. They were vital in the past two wars and deserve to be rewarded."

With a grumble, Zeus nodded his head while Poseidon slammed his Trident on the ground, causing two thrones to rise. One between Hera and Demeter that was somehow both regal and homey, giving off a comforting light.

The other, between Poseidon and Zeus, was also regal. But, instead of being inviting and comforting, it screamed despair and danger sucking in the light around it. Hades and Hestia gave nods of gratitude before sitting on their new thrones.

"My final wish is two parts."

Zeus looked slightly annoyed but motioned for him to continue.

"First, I would like for the Roman gods to also claim their children by 13 and for the gods' assistance in getting them to the Wolf House. This would have been a part of my wish years ago had I known of the Romans' existence."

Zeus transformed into Jupiter for a moment, giving a nod of acknowledgment, and the demigod had faith the god would make sure the others followed through.

"The second part is that I wish to join Annabeth in Elysium."

There was a cacophony of sounds at that statement, with numerous shouts of protest and cries of shock. He was touched by the sympathy that everyone was showing and stunned by the surprised and puzzled look on Zeus' face.

However, the look didn't last long, and Percy could soon smell ozone as Zeus threw his Master Bolt toward him. The King of the gods realized he had to act fast before any objections could be made.

Percy closed his eyes and thought a small prayer to his father.

'I'm sorry, Dad, but I am so tired of it all. Mom and Paul are better off without me bringing the risk of death to them every time I visit. Tell them I love them, please.'

Then, the world was silent, yet at the same time, he felt no pain. Squinting his eyes open, he was greeted with a blinding light that... giggled?

Taking a step back, he realized he was still in the throne room, and time was frozen. The blinding light was the Master Bolt stopped right in front of his face. Then he heard another giggle and looked behind the bolt to see a mass of energy?

It was the best way he could describe it, and when he spotted it, it giggled again before changing. What was once a weird animated blob slowly began to take shape until, eventually, Percy was staring at a woman made of stars.

Her body was blue and looked to be made up of billions of galaxies and planets. Her hair was like a pink nebula, and she had no skin. With a start, he realized her body was made up of billions of galaxies and planets, constantly moving about.

It giggled again, breaking Percy out of his stupor and allowing him to draw Riptide, getting in a defensive stance. He had a good idea of who this being was, and judging by the pressure he felt, there wasn't anything he could do to stop it from doing what it wanted.

'Hello.'

The sudden voice in his mind shocked him so much that he nearly dropped his sword. Not sure what to do next, he waved at the being, causing it to giggle again.

'I'm sorry for startling you, but this form of communication is so much more efficient. Just think what you want to say, and I'll understand.'

Percy nodded his head before thinking. The voice was like a schoolgirl having fun, something he didn't expect the creator to sound like at all.

'You're Chaos, aren't you?'

The being giggled again before replying in his mind.

'How perceptive... you are correct, of course. I will say you have some balls for conditioning a promise on my name. I had to do some research on who you are, and my oh my, am I glad I did. You are absolutely delicious, and if Order wasn't such a vindictive prick, I'd take you right here and now.'

The voice changed from schoolgirl to seductress to a woman scorned, and Percy wasn't sure how to react. Especially considering the fact that he'd be raped if it wasn't for this supposed Order killing him... for being raped by Chaos. But he tried to not let his discomfort show.

'Oh sweety, it wouldn't be rape. It'd be subjugation but don't worry about that. I have a request for you before Order and I make another galaxy, cause you got me all riled up stud. You're the first in eons to say my name, and it just has me feeling a certain type of way.'

Again, Percy was at a complete loss as to what was happening but went with it. He wasn't about to fight Chaos and miss out on being with Annabeth again. He was pretty sure Chaos could literally make him or anyone she wanted to just not exist.

'Correct again, handsome, now before I can't resist myself.'

Suddenly, Chaos was in front of him. Percy was again confused as she went from being a seductive and excited voice in his head to a more reserved and kind voice.

'I have this little pet project world called Westeros that was created after I got done playing on Earth. Order and I have been watching it as our entertainment like you mortals watch TV. Although we just watched them fight this war and at the end, I was so unsatisfied by the outcome.'

'So, I turned back the time there and want to send you to it and see how you change the events. In return for giving me some entertainment, I'll grant you any 3 wishes, no questions asked, based on your intent and not on the words you say once you leave Westeros.'

Percy considered this for a moment. He wasn't quite sure what type of wish he could/would grant.

Chaos giggled at that and was once again in his mind with a seductive purr. 'Anything you want, baby, and Order can't stop or retaliate against it.'

'So I could wish for Annabeth to come back to life?'

There was a sudden explosion of pleasure in his mind that made his legs buckle, and after a moment, he regained his bearings, looking at Chaos's form in confusion.

'What was that?'

A sheepish, more reserved voice replied in his head this time.

'Sorry dear, the love you bring is just so damn hot; you remind me of Order when we were just starting out. Yes, I can bring Annabeth back and so much more. We can talk about that after, though. Do you accept?'

Well, he at least knew why she was so attracted to him. He did his best not to bring himself into an existential crisis by thinking about what was going on when Chaos and Order first started out. So, after another moment's thought, he thought back to Chaos.

'I accept.'

A squeal of excitement and another explosion of pleasure in his mind left Percy feeling exhausted as the schoolgirl's voice returned.

'I am so happy you said that; we have so much to do and prepare for! Hand me over Anaklusmos.'

Percy realized it wasn't a request and handed the sword to the creator, watching awestruck as his sword glowed with a blinding light before transforming. Once the light died down, the creator still held Anaklusmos. He knew it was still his sword because he could feel the connection between it, himself, and the sea within.

Yet, it looked completely different. The sword's pommel was transformed to pure blue sapphire that seemed to contain an entire ocean inside, and the grip itself turned into a matte black leather. Meanwhile, the guard and the rest of the sword were a dark steel now that seemed to hum with power.

The only other change was that the Anaklusmos and trident engravings were now etched in bronze rather than silver. Overall, the sword looked beautiful as it always had, yet he couldn't help but be curious about the reason for the transformation.

Chaos's kind and motherly voice returned in his head.

'The sword is now made of chaotic steel, the strongest metal ever created, and can kill anything, including gods. Only three items are made with that metal on this planet, and I am sure you can guess what they are.'

The shock was evident on Percy's face as he was handed back his weapon, which was now made of the same material as the Big Three's symbols of power. Another question at the forefront of his mind with that new nugget of information.

'Did the magical properties change? Anaklusmos will still always return to me, correct?'

He was thankful for the same voice returning in his head rather than one of Chaos's other personalities.

'Yes, it will. However, instead of just being a pen, I have enchanted it to take the form of whatever you desire it to be.'

Curious, the demigod imagined his sword in the form of a wedding ring. Somehow, he was still surprised when a wedding ring appeared on his hand in the shape of an owl, with eyes that reminded him of his own.

He then imagined it in a sheath and watched in fascination as a chaotic steel sheath, with a blue trident emblazoned on the side, attached itself to his hip before he willed his sword back into a ballpoint pen.

'Thank you, Chaos, you bless me with your generosity.'

The schoolgirl giggle returned, and with it, the voice. Percy sighed in exhaustion; this was chaos... the irony of it hit him like a ton of bricks, causing him to mentally facepalm. The yelp of pain broke him out of his eureka moment.

'I am sorry, my lady. I had no idea that would hurt you.'

Chaos's motherly voice returned. 'It is quite fine, dear; I am glad you have figured out the reason for the constant shifts in attitude. I must hurry, though. I have two more things to give you, and if I stay much longer, this world will turn to ash as it is unable to hold my power for long.'

In Chaos's hand suddenly appeared a blade, but not just any blade. Percy could only gape as the dagger Annabeth lost in Tartarus was now in Chaos's hand. The only difference he noticed was the gray leather sheath it was in, with an owl embroidered on the side.

Choking back tears, the demigod unconsciously hugged the creator, but only briefly as he forgot who was before him. The schoolgirl returned with a giggle, and Percy jumped back, an apology at the tip of his tongue, but was stopped at the bulge now in Chaos's belly.

The seductive purr was back in his head. 'Uh oh, looks like we forgot to use protection. That's okay though, 'cause I love it when you have your way with me, you stud.'

Percy was speechless and then horrified, as Chaos's being birthed an egg in front of him like it was nothing. He had a million thoughts running through his mind as he tried to comprehend what happened.

He simply hugged her; did that make her pregnant? What was he even the father of? Was he a father?

A new voice from Chaos broke him out of his breakdown. This one sounded normal and was just laughing hysterically in his mind. Right when Percy felt himself on the brink of a total mental breakdown, Chaos stopped her laughing.

When she spoke in his mind again, though, he could still feel her amusement.

'I am sorry, but that was funny for me. No, I did not get pregnant. That was just a fun way for me to give you your last gift. I won't spoil the surprise, but it is my way of saying thank you for not being boring.'

Percy carefully set the egg down beside him, unsure of what to do now. But, before he could think to ask, Chaos's motherly voice returned in his head.

'I am going to transport you to Westeros in exactly one hour. You have that long to say goodbye and handle any leftover affairs. I shall stop Zeus's little toy before it can do any harm... Don't worry, I know yours isn't little.'

Percy blushed scarlet at the seductive purr that reappeared one last time. Yet before he could even format a rebuttal, Chaos was gone, and time resumed. However, instead of the Master Bolt hitting the spot he was standing before Chaos appeared, it fell to the ground. The weapon's energy and momentum gone.

The shouts and cries that originally assaulted the son of Poseidon's ears when time first resumed were silenced as the Master Bolt fell. Everyone was confused about what had happened and even more confused about how he was now standing several feet from where he had been earlier.

The emerald egg beside him shook once, reminding Percy it wasn't a dream, while his father's voice broke the silence that had enveloped the throne room.

"My son, what happened?"

The demigod turned towards his father and took in the entire throne room in the process. Realizing that everyone in attendance was staring at him with confusion clear as day on their faces. After a breath, he began his recap.

"I met Chaos, and she is going to send me to a place called Westeros. She said it was because I had the balls to invoke her name, and she was bored. She then said if I did this for her, she would grant me three wishes once I was finished."

"I accepted her offer, and she then gifted me three items. After which, she said I would be teleported to the place within one hour. Other than that, all I can really say is that she embodies Chaos."

A shudder ran through his body at the memory of his meeting with the creator. It was nothing like he expected an encounter with a being that powerful to go. Then again, he never thought he'd meet a being that powerful.

Once he finished, the throne room was immediately filled with cries of disbelief, shock, and questions. Forcing Poseidon to slam his Trident on the ground for order, shaking the throne room with a mini earthquake.

With the council settled Zeus spoke up. "Do you have any proof?"

Percy just pointed to the egg at his feet before willing Riptide to become a sword in his hand. The eldest gods immediately recognized the metal the weapon was made of, while the rest looked dumbfounded.

Zeus looked between his three brothers before they nodded in unison. At first, Percy thought he imagined it. That is, until Zeus spoke boldly and loudly, and for the first time in Percy's life, he felt like the King of the gods sounded like a true king.

"Perseus Jackson has met with Chaos herself and has been given a new purpose. He will be gone from our world in exactly fifty-two minutes. If you wish to say goodbye, now is the time."

Zeus then turned to look him in the eyes. "I wish you luck on your journey, Perseus Jackson."

Then, with a strike of lightning, Zeus was gone. Most of the council left with him after either a nod goodbye or well wishes until only five gods remained behind. Before they could do anything, though, Percy turned back to his friends. Taking the time to wish them well in their new lives.

It took every ounce of his willpower to not break down in sobs as he bid them goodbye, giving Chiron a hug so strong he was afraid he'd hurt the legendary trainer of heroes. Knowing the centaur had lost a daughter in Annabeth just as much as he had lost his other half.

With the tearful goodbyes to his friends over, they moved back so the remaining gods could say their piece. Hades was first, gripping Percy's shoulder with a proud smile.

"Thank you, nephew, for getting me an actual throne and the respect the Underworld deserves."

The lord of the Underworld then handed him a pouch filled to the brim with precious metals and gems. Percy looked at it questioningly, but before he could ask, he felt a power fill him.

"That pouch is enchanted and filled with thousands of precious metals, gems, and unmarked gold coins. I am positive a monetary system will be in place wherever you go. I also made you an ally of the Underworld. The shadows are now your friends, Perseus Jackson."

"I think we can consider my debt repaid, don't you?

Percy could only nod numbly at Hades' confirmation, overwhelmed by the gratitude the god of the Underworld showed.

"Oh, and Annabeth indeed made it to Elysium."

With his final piece said, the eldest son of Kronos and Rhea disappeared in a flurry of shadows. Leaving the son of Poseidon dumbstruck as he mumbled out a soft 'thank you' to the now empty space.

It wasn't until Hestia approached that he was finally broken out of his stupor.

"Thank you, nephew. I greatly appreciate you wishing for my throne back. I was hoping you would accept my blessing as thanks?"

Percy nodded, not wishing to turn down one of the few gods he truly liked and respected. Hestia smiled in relief and pulled the young demigod into a hug that he quickly melted into.

It was as though a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders at that moment, and for the first time since Annabeth's death, he felt at peace. When the goddess stepped away, there was a melancholy in her eyes.

"The pain and grief you feel is crushing you, Perseus. Please, do not give up hope. With my blessing, you are able to summon home-cooked meals to wherever you are, and you will find that the flame of a hearth can never burn you. You can also inspire hope in others, so long as you have hope yourself."

Percy was awestruck at the gift the eldest Olympian had given him and pulled her into another hug. Words could not describe his thanks for the blessing or the hope she had instilled in him. As they separated once again, she smiled at him.

"You are most welcome, nephew. Now, I don't want to take the rest of your limited time, as there are others who also wish to say their goodbyes. May you have the best of luck in your new life."

Then, the goddess was gone, vanished in a pillar of flames. Percy then turned his attention to the twin gods as they approached, feeling much better than he had in weeks, thanks to Hestia's help. Apollo was the first one to speak.

"Hey there, Perce, listen, so we both might have cursed all children of Poseidon with terrible archery skills after Orion. So, we came to fix that, right, little sis?"

Percy laughed at the sun god's sheepishness, glad it wasn't his fault for being so bad at archery that they literally cleared the range at camp when he attempted to shoot a bow. The embarrassed Apollo turned to his sister, who growled at her brother, muttering, 'We're the same age.' before they both put a hand on his shoulder.

The son of Poseidon blinked in surprise as it felt like a whole new portion of his brain was unlocked, as though a curtain had been pulled back. The twins laughed at his bewildered look.

"I'm pretty sure it worked, sis, don't you agree?"

At Apollo's words, Artemis nodded, a smile still on both their faces.

"Afraid I must take my leave, though; the autopilot is out on the chariot, and the mortals will freak if the sun never rises."

With that, Apollo was gone in a flash of light, and Perseus was left in confusion as Artemis still stood before him, a shy smile on her face. She summoned a brilliant silver chain to her hand, and Percy caught a glimpse of a bow pendant before she motioned for him to open his palm.

As the moon goddess gave him the chain, she spoke. "I had this made after you held the sky, for that was when I realized you weren't like most men. I am giving it to you now as my thanks for saving both myself and my hunters from when Gration attacked our camp in Delos."

Percy put the chain around his neck, praising the craftsmanship of the bow pendant. The maker, who he assumed to be Hephaestus, had gotten the metal to have a woodgrain-like look on the bow itself, and the string looked like an actual string, yet silver.

Turning his attention back to Artemis, he spoke. "Thank you, milady, I am honored. Just as I was honored to help you send Gration back to Tartarus, where he belongs."

The moon goddess smiled at his words. "Pull on the pendent Perseus."

After pulling on the pendent, he was amazed to see a wooden sea-green bow appear in his hands. Looking behind him, he even noticed a silver quiver on his back. Turning his attention back to the bow, it seemed as though the wooden grain was like waves lapping at the shore.

The demigod bowed in thanks for the gift and was shocked once again as the moon goddess embraced him in a hug. Hesitantly, he returned it, and after a few short moments, they broke away. Artemis looked him in the eyes, a faint blush on her cheeks.

"Don't die, Perseus. Should you fall, the world would be left with insufferable and idiotic men."

With the last words of encouragement, the moon goddess disappeared in a flash of silver. Which just left Poseidon and Percy as the only ones left in the throne room. Poseidon gave his son a sad smile as he gripped his shoulder before summoning a ring in the palm of his other hand.

Percy admired the ring. It was silver with a small sea-green gem encrusted at the top and what looked to be a horse and an owl in a constant chase around it. He could make out the words 'Always and Forever.' in Greek around the band.

The demigod carefully and gratefully put the ring on his ring finger, and with a shaky breath, he embraced his father in a hug.

"Thank you, Dad. This means a lot."

Poseidon laughed at that. "I know it does. I had it made when I realized you and Annabeth would marry each other one day, ya know? Then, when you two fell into Tartarus, I had it enchanted; try twisting it."

Percy stepped back and looked at his father in confusion before twisting the ring. To his utter amazement, he watched as metal from the ring snaked its way across his body like a river. Until he was covered in traditional Greek armor.

The armor was a bluish silver, and the chest piece had a trident emblazoned in the middle. He also had on two nautical pauldrons connected to the chest piece resembling a sea serpent's scales with an owl emblazoned on each side.

He then took in his greaves and bracers, which looked like they, too, had the scales of a sea serpent. Taking a glance in the mirror on Aphrodite's throne, he was happy to see that he didn't look like an idiot and instead looked like a badass, in his opinion, of course. Overall, he felt protected and was shocked at how flexible and light the armor was.

His father's voice broke him out of his admiration. "It is made of Atlantean steel, forged by your brother and those he deemed worthy and skilled enough to work on something so important. The metal isn't as dense as others and is as strong as Celestial Bronze and Imperial Gold."

Thanking his father, Percy twisted the ring back and watched in fascination as the armor disappeared like a tide receding back into the ocean. After ensuring he had everything else on him, he picked up his egg and felt nervous.

The thought of leaving everything behind and starting a new life suddenly scared him. Thankfully, his father's firm grip on his shoulder brought him out of his thoughts, his voice solid and reassuring, like a king's.

"I am proud of you, my son; wherever you go, I know you will make it a better place. Remember, the sea does not like to be restrained."

Percy smiled at his father, his nerves vanishing, and in its place, he felt anticipation. The demigod began to glow and, realizing that he had moments left, gave his father a task, one that he did not envy him for.

"Dad, please tell Mom I love her. That I am sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye in person. That I am forever grateful for the sacrifices she made for me and that I am happy she and Paul found such a good life together."

Poseidon smiled at his son, his form beginning to flicker in the demigod's eyes as Chaos teleported him to Westeros, wherever that may be.

"I'll tell her son; you have my word. I just hope she doesn't kill me for allowing you to go."

The last thing Percy heard was the booming cackle of his father as he laughed at his own joke. He felt a slight smile on his face as he began to move through space and time. His father's humor having calmed his nerves.
