Chapter 2

Coming to an agreement put Madara at ease and they watched the beautiful scenery of the sea below them.

It had been a long time since both of them had time to admire the beauty of the world. It made Madara realize how much he had missed in his haste and narrow mindedness. Forget about entrusting the goal to the future generation, he didn't even have a child.

It's not like he never slept with women but he was so lost in his world that he didn't leave behind any inheritor.

Even Hashirama had left behind someone to carry his legends.

'This time let's get the full course of life and take it easy. Last time I was too stressed and only focused on the negatives. This time let's look at things differently.' Madara thought as he admired the view and turned around as he sensed a presence before the sound even arrived and saw a female with an unusual appearance.

She had blonde hair which she was wearing in two braided pig-tails and two antennae sticking out at the top of her head.

She was wearing a pink dress with black, flower shaped textures that goes to her thighs. She also wears red and pink striped sandals but what he was surprised about were the small wings on her back and the lack of chakra.

'So this world has unusual beings. ' Madara confirmed his situation once again as he just saw someone with zero connection to chakra but still having a stronger body than normal humans and with wings.

"Who are you?" Madara asked in a friendly tone, it had been a long time but it didn't mean he had forgotten how to act friendly. The Sharingan remembered everything the user has seen and heard.

He had seen Hashirama so many times that he doubted that he needed the Sharingan to act like him.

"Hello stranger, welcome to Skypiea. My name is Conis." Conis said in happy tone and a welcoming smile.

The girl spoke to him but he realized that he couldn't understand a thing. Madara stared at Conis and his Rinne-sharingan spun as he extracted the data he needed from the girl.

Though it was looked similar to his eye with six paths power, it was just the look. The eye just showed that he had EMS and Rinnegan but lacked the six path's powers since he didn't have large chakra and Senjutsu.

He was weaker than his revived form during the war since he was missing the Hashirama head on his chest, meaning no sage mode and healing or wood release.

He was a master of genjutsu and the Sharingan. It was an easy job for him to extract memories from someone else and learning new languages wasn't anything novel for him. He had done it a few times on his journey around different Nations.

Conis looked at them both with kind expression as she didn't feel the vulgarity of the pirates that try to enter the Island.

She was mesmerized by both of them as Madara and Konan were extremely good looking. Conis was especially attracted to the eyes.

She had never eyes like his and wondered why they were spinning.

"Hello Conis, My name is Madara and this is my colleague Konan. Would you mind if we asked about this island as we are visitors from afar?" Madara replied calmly, for now he was only intending to take a rest for awhile since he had been busy for too long and learn some basics about the world before moving along.

Hearing his voice and demeanor, Conis found him endearing as he showed good manners and nodded.

"I don't mind but please follow me. We can't stay here in the outside or you will be in danger." Conis said in an urgent tone that conveyed to him how scared she was for their lives.

It was surprising for Madara as he could only remember his brother Izuna being the only one to show so much care and who can forget about Hashirama. Even that had been so long ago, decades had passed since he had seen such a thing.

Really he had been living inside the cave not to see the beauty of the world. The boy didn't just spout drivel indeed.

The world was a shade of grey so why did he focus on the black and ignore the white.

"Follow me."

Madara saw her indicate for them to sit behind her but Madara shook his head.

"We can fly so lead the way." Madara said surprising Conis as she though land dwellers couldn't fly. She could fly with her wings but preferred the waver

He stood beside her and flew ahead, disappearing from view and then coming to prove his point.

"That was wonderful." Conis praised and smiled, she was used to people and could tell that Madara wasn't a bad person from his mannerisms. She wanted to hear about his tales as she didn't know much about the outside world.

Conis rode her weaver while Madara and Konan followed along as they watched the scenery. He had successfully found a source of information without even trying.

'He doesn't seem to be one of those pirates that come up or a rich noble from his mannerism, what is he?' Conis thought curiously as she watched Madara follow her pace nonchalantly

'He is really strong, I wonder if he can fight with them.' Conis saw that her thoughts were encroaching dangerous territory and quickly shook her head as she didn't want to invite trouble

Conis was a citizen of Skypiea and Pagaya's daughter. She was also owner of a cloud fox named Su.

Skypiea was an island located in the sky above Paradise. Paradise was the name of the first half of the Grand Line given by pirates fleeing the New World. It was located between East and South Blue, and Twin Cape and the Red Line. The name was coined by the men who ventured in the New World, compared to which "the first half is a paradise"

The people who reside on Skypiea have small wings on their backs that could grow with practice and become smaller. These wings could be used to fly and every adult could do so with ease.

The daily life of sky people revolved around the use of Dials, which normally are not available in the Blue Sea. As opposed to the belly of the rest of the world, it used extols as currency. The people of Skypiea have a religious reverence for soil, because it can yield plant life much better than island cloud can, and also other materials that come from the Blue Sea. Most of the people from the Blue Sea believe that Skypiea is merely a myth. The currency used in Skypiea is Extol and 10,000 Extol is worth 1 berry.

The inhabitants of this haven 10,000 meters above the ground are kind, trusting folk naturally, although through the years the war with Shandia, the thievery of blue-sea dwellers and the harsh rule of the so called immortals has jaded them, leaving them with a bitter taste towards outsiders in general. This isolationism is in stark contrast to Fish-Man Island, 10,000 meters below the waves, who, while sharing the traits of kindness, had become largely swamped with outsiders.

The Immortals mentioned were the people that Conis wished would go away or get defeated as they were the ones responsible for all the suffering in this haven.

The haven was filled with constant rife and war because of certain people that had big ego but Gan Fall was about to undo the past mistakes but then the current trouble came rolling in.

Six years ago, Enel came to Skypiea with his men, after destroying his homeland Birka. He overthrew Gan Fall, claimed his position as the leader and became the despotic ruler of Skypiea himself. He settled in Upper Yard with his warriors and servants, but for Skypieans and all other people this island became a forbidden land on death penalty.

After Enel took over the land, all the citizens of Skypiea lived in constant fear of him. His highly developed mantra and ability to sense electric fields allowed him to hear conversations and thus made him aware of almost everything happening in Skypiea.

If anyone dared to speak out against Enel or challenge his list of commandments, he would shoot a giant column of lightning down from the sky to effectively eliminate the dissenter. Enel made foreigners out to be criminals by imputing a crime for almost any of their actions (even snoring). Until they arrived for the Judgment, the inhabitants of Skypiea were responsible for guiding them there. Anyone would become criminal themselves upon helping a criminal. This gave birth to the citizens' sense of crime and they became feeble and weak.
