On a sunny day on a certain soccer field lays a man named Ashton Madrigal. He seems asleep but in truth he is just faking it since it is too troublesome to open his eyes. The reason for his unreasonable action is that someone is confessing her love to him. The poor girl is an unlucky freshman that didn't know how self centered the man is. And so here comes her predicament.

"Please make me your girl friend" The girl said while blushing and somewhat bowing down.

The only reply she got was the silent treatment and a bored sigh. Reluctantly Ashton opened his eyes and saw the lady confessing her heart out to him. The lady was cute.. A little bit small but nonetheless she was cute and adorable.. That is for me but for our Ashton she looks boring and too normal for his liking. There is no one he likes in the first place but still this one is not up to his standard. Really.. What a B***a**! The other males around him was sending him death glares as they watch the poor girl cry and ran away after a long silence and bored look on Ashton.

"What would I gain by her being my girl friend in the first place? I got everything I need." He thought as he watched the back of the girl that just confessed to him a few seconds ago.

He did not enjoy breaking hearts though I wanted to break his nose for his attitude in the first place but for Ashton everyone is too boring. He felt everyone is too common. He was looking something that will be different.. Anything, anyone.. Just something or someone different to spice up his life. Mostly someone he can benefit with. Though I would like to trash him same as you guys, he his our Main character.

Ashton is handsome, my mistake as I am the one who created him, He was also talented as he can perform almost anything aside from athletic activities. He was almost perfect but he has a weak heart. No he is just lazy so he has low endurance. Then about his studies, he was ranked one to ten on all subjects. Some on 1 some 10 and between but never did he fail to do something when it comes to study. You can say he is a brain rather than brawl. He believes that perfection is effortless and so he is lazy on most things. Don't expect me to explain how someone so lazy can excel on study, he just is. It's just saying why do I look like my parents. That's the same case in Ashton. His family is a collection of computers. Sorry its just his parents were so smart in memorizing as his father and his mother was the best in analytically areas. So combine 1+1 its equals Ashton having the best genes from his parents. Both the memorizing ability and the analytic ability. Though of course he is lazy. I will always be sore about that quality of his.

"I just got a good sword! It's a rare boss drop with +5% STR option! I am so lucky!" A guy exclaimed to his friend. Aston knows that it was the same game everyone plays. A virtual reality game called Royal Road.

"Wow you're Lucky! I heard that dungeon only have 3% chance to drop that item. Good you participated on that Guild raid." his friend replied but his eyes is that of an envious man. This is why he doesn't like these kind of people. They were all boring and can be categorized so easily.

Aston stood up and left the field and head for his classroom for the after noon. His subject is chemistry. This is one of the subjects he listens very well. Though he can memorize the book says about formulas and many more theory, it is still better if a more detailed explanation from a qualified professor.

He sat on the front not caring anyone as he list down things that he deem important while paying not a second to the longing gaze of his female classmates and the death glares from the males. For him it was common thing and so he got used to it. Time went on and he continued to be immense in his own bubble. No classmate, no seatmate, no glares, no longing, no teachers that frowns on him, just the sole him.

When he arrived home he went to his room after a few robotic conversations with his parents then went inside his personalized capsule.

Then darkness came just to be replaced by a new world. A world where everything is different. Everything is possible would it be magic, mythical beings, giants, dragons and even the almighty Emperor which rules the world. Aston or Detox as he is known in this game. There were only a few thousand players were here and most of them were secondary accounts for everyone is playing Royal Road and when they die they switch to this world to pass time since there is a 24 hour penalty upon death. But in here, they can re spawn on an hour after death but this one is a bit extreme. If you die, you lose 5 levels and 30% proficiency on a skill on random chance. This way, the only player which still didn't have the taste of death, the current emperor of the game, Detox reached his level 581 and almost max proficiency on most skills. He was very focused and very systematic and thus he can calculate which areas is suitable to hunt monsters and set a huge safety margin to avoid death. No he is not seeking greatness, he is just aiming for the top seat for various reasons of his own which I wouldn't say for now.

"Welcome back Emperor Detox" A butler. NPC greeted him after appearing on his almighty throne made of pure gold.

"Very well... Is there a new quest of SSS difficulty?"

"None my lord."

"I see... This world doesn't satisfy me anymore..." He threw the sword in his hip which would shame the best gear the top player of Royal Road have towards the door.

The NPC gasped and surprised by his master's action. He was used to the fiery glint in his eyes as a difficult quest appears and would be given to him. Though the last couple of months, his master was not happy since there were no quest for him.

The reason for this is the lack of players and income for the company which manage the Infinity Online. Being in the lower ranks of the VR games, their company was hard pressed and thus there were only a few handful people that manage the games and so there is a shortage of quest release. It worsen when a player named "Detox" entered and started to clear quest after quest no matter how hard it is by sheer tactics and very calculated moves. You can say that he is also one factor which broke the income of the company.

"I shall leave for now... This world fell in satisfaction.. I relinquish my title as the emperor." Detox said announced and a few message box appeared notifying him about his action. He know very much what he is doing though and there is no hesitation when he confirmed his decision.

Detox removed the crown that represents the emperor in this Infinity Castle and left the throne room.

"Let us try this popular game if it would be able to keep me satisfied..." He thought as he log out of the game. Then he was back into the starting phase of the capsule.

"For the king!" A voice roared and soon he can hear voices from every direction. It sounded not happy of course.

"What the hell happened?" Ashton asked himself as he got out of the capsule.

"This game..... Is royal road declaring a challenge to me?" Ashton thought angrily. He felt irritated which he usually don't feel. He was an emperor without dying but now he wasn't even able to last 5 seconds in game and he died.

Ashton laughed as he lay down on his bed. "I'll get you back... Just you wait"

It is my first time doing a FF but I have been reading many FF about LMS and somehow I got fed up on how characters evolves into superman... are combat classes that good?? Like LMS I want to make a good artisan related MC but I think this one would not be filled with so much action like many FF concerning blades and guns and skills so OP. Like I wrote..
