The last thing Arvion remembered was the dissociated feeling of his body hitting the cold stone pavement of his kitchen floor, his consciousness barely clinging to any semblances of reality.
It was a strange feeling. Knowing that you were about to die. Perhaps it was best described as not feeling at all. Maybe the last thing he really felt was the pain from the fresh slit across his neck or the cold floor beneath him that was now covered with his warm crimson blood.
And that was the last thing that he could remember. Besides the gigantic statues in front of him. He had been here for.... who knows how long but the void had never changed. He was left there with very little to think about other than the very few past moments of his death. He didn't really expect anything to come from the void but on that one fateful day/night, who even knew anymore, they appeared.
It was three simple statues that Arvion couldn't necessarily see but could more or less feel them. They were large statues. Perhaps the largest he had ever seen before ranging miles high in all dimensions if dimensions were even a real thing in this strange place.
The first resembled a majestic wolf standing tall and proud, howling at the unforeseeable sky. The second, a giant hawk with a talon opening out towards him almost as if it was waiting to eat him up. And the third and smallest statue was that of a mighty mouse wearing a suit of armor and a blade raising it to the sky while seemingly squeaking a little battle cry.
As he approached the statue of the wolf closer, he noticed a small plaque that as soon as he attempted to inspect it sent a mental image directly into his mind seemed like a video game.

'Wait what? Reincarnation?!' Arvion thought out loud. 'This gives me a chance. A chance to live a life that I can actually remember and make up for the mistakes that I may or may not have made in my past life.'

He quickly went to the other two statues and inspected them further resulting in two new stat blocks with different stats and abilities.

'This one seems strong. The ability of flight and high mental stats. I wonder how the mental stats affect me? Do they decide my actual intelligence or just pure numbers? Hmm... something to keep in mind I guess.' Arvion thought to himself.

'Hmm... this one has high intelligence, wisdom, and dexterity while having absolutely nothing in the other stats. It seems pretty one-sided though the classes do seem like an interesting idea'
'I wonder who thought of this? I mean seriously it seems like it's straight out of an RPG game or one of those magical Systems that are in tons of novels nowadays.' Arvion thought out loud.
The air around his strange and incomprehensible form began to rapidly drop in temperature as a strange frigid coldness filled his very soul. Then it happened. A statue broke to pieces as a metallic voice echoed out from within the void.
'Wait what this is timed? I better choose quickly then' If Arvion could bite his nails he would but he currently didn't have any to do so.
Then another crack echoed throughout the room as one of the remaining statues began to crack. The hawk statue quickly fell as the voice echoed out once more.
Then a wave of incomprehensible knowledge flooded through Arvion's mind. Less like knowledge but more like an epiphany. Endless inspiration filled the surrounding area.
'Wait for wha-' Arvion was stopped by the sound of an explosion as a powerful geyser of majestic power spewed from within the void.
'What's going on?!' Arvion screamed.
Then he felt it. A strong suction force was pulling him into the center of the explosion. At first, it was mellow but it quickly began to build up dragging him towards the center of the void. Away from the crumbled remains of the statues that had just been destroyed through the same process that had taken place moments before to the two other transmigrates.
After what felt like ever he felt his soul give in as it was dragged to the center forced through some type of portal and dragged through the endless vortex for what seemed like forever.
After what felt like years he finally felt a change. His body was... changing. He was no longer the strange soul from before but instead a mouse. At some point, while he was in the void he had begun to gain hands and feet and small white fur that slowly grew to cover his body. He grew slowly at first but then quickly changing from a child to an adult mice in a matter of seconds. It seemed almost as if the first few moments were the most crucial as everything changed after that moment.
He had a body. He had eyes. He had a new life. All he had to do was take grasp of this chance and prosper no matter how difficult it may be.
