A month went by, after that weird talk with my dad, and today as I woke up, I found a really fancy new suit, dad was there getting dressed, and told me to put on that fancy suit, then he asked me if I remembered what we had talked a month ago, and answered that I did remember ( even if I didn’t understand the meaning of that conversation), dad told me that today was the day that Runa would become my new mom, and that we were going to have a big party.

I went down, and everyone was there ready, everyone was in fancy clothes, even Creon, and the workshop was decorated with flowers (I hate flowers, they’re so useless, and expensive, I don’t understand why would they spend that much in something so useless) and they also adorned with some elegant carpets on the floor. Runa was there, standing in the middle, with some really colorful clothes, a beautiful and shiny necklace, on her face she had some weird but enchanting marks, made with some paint and a white transparent veil on her face. She looked really beautiful, then she turned her head, and saw me, I could see her smile behind that veil, she told me that I looked handsome, and asked me if I was happy, and I answered obviously that yes (ow can one not be happy among that much food and looking this handsome, hahaha, such a weir question in this moment), then she told me to go stand up in a spot near the other side.

Then dad came down, he had some really fancy clothes, his tunic was white with golden , and in his belt, he had a sword, it looked like a good quality sword, I liked that sword a lot, but I didn’t know why did dad needed a sword ( maybe he is going to fight with someone, I’m going to cheer him a lot, you can do it dad), and when dad saw Runa, he had a real smile, then he arrived next to her, he took her hand, and looked into her eyes, they then walked around a circle made of dirt that was on one of the carpets, and while they were walking, they chanted, “this circle symbolizes our lives together, that our hearts may forever be together always side by side, and that our steps leave prints on this land”, “with this ritual, I give you my heart, and my soul, and with this kiss, I seal this promise” ,then they kissed, and we all clapped really hard.

Dad and Runa were really happy, so I ran to congratulate them, but before I could say anything, dad and Runa hugged me, then the real fun started, we all danced a lot in the workshop, and we eat meat, we never get to eat meat, because dad always says that its very expensive, but it was really tasty. I ate a lot, until my belly hurt, and I ended up puking, so my dad sends me to sleep, so I couldn’t enjoy the rest of the party.

The next day everything was very quiet, everyone was still asleep, I think the party lasted the whole night, so I took the chance to escape and went to the flea market to see what could I find.

As I walked through the flea market I couldn’t bear to turn and see the food, it makes me nauseous, but I arrived at the part where the rare animals where, but there were only horses, camels, and goats, there wasn’t even one strong animal, like a lion, or a tiger, or maybe an elephant.

The day was passing by really slowly , there was nothing interesting to do or to see, and at home everyone should still be at sleep, so I kept walking randomly through the flea market, and then I saw a man, her was tall, but not too strong, he seemed like a ghost, like people could barely notice him, and his eyes, his eyes were pitch black, those eyes looked like monster eyes, with no feelings, and death, I could see those eyes through the bandages that covered his face, I was like paralyzed, and I barely took notice of the giant lizard that he was riding, because in that moment a strange but familiar feeling started itching inside me, the heat, I felt the heat from my dream, and I started getting angry, but I knew that that led to my destruction, so I had the feeling that I had to run away from that place, so I gather all of my courage, turned around and run like a mad man, I ran and ran, while my heart keep beating faster and faster, I ran until I arrived to the workshop. There in the doors of the workshop, I turn my head, to reassure that no one was following me, and evidently, I was alone , so to take that awful taste from my mouth, I went to the store and started cleaning it, and putting things in order.

No one got up early that day, at dawn I arrived home , I managed to sell 3 vases that day, and Creon was the only one awake by that time, which was something amazing, he’s always the last one, maybe is the end of the world, hahaha.

He took me to have some dinner.

Then I came back, and dad and Runa where awake by then, I told them about my day (almost all my day, I omitted the part about the estrange man, and the weird feeling, I don’t want to make my dad worried), and dad congratulated me for selling those 3 vases, he let me have that money to myself, he said that I had earned that money for being a responsible and hardworking boy.

That was the end of that weird day, but one thing is for sure, that day and that feeling, will forever be in my mind.

So little did I know that my adventure by going out was going to cause a chain reaction, that started a fuse.
