Deep within the ruins of Kathuel a lone figure walked. He walked through the ancient remnants of his long dead home. As he walked memories of a time long past flashed across his eyes.
Bob, yes that was his name. He had nearly forgotten. No, he had forgotten. The thought of forgetting again made him feel unpleasant, so in a flash of brilliance Bob decided to make it so he would not forget.
.....
Forget what…?
It seems Bob had already forgotten.
~~~~~~~
Bob was walking through an especially ruined part of Kathuel ruins. The stone floor was covered in fauna, trees broke through the walls and the roof was not really there.
There was a strange grating sound following him. Every time he moved forward the sound followed. It was getting on his nerves.
Bob stopped and so did the sound. Bob looked around in fear, monsters are not uncommon in Kathuel. Bob is scared of monsters, especially ghosts, nothing is scarier than ghosts.
Bob shivered, best not think of such things lest his nights would be filed with mares, and not the neighing kind.
He picked up his pace, the sooner he was out of this spooky hallway he better.
Bob ran like he had never ran before, fear filled his chest, horror clouded his mind when all of a sudden Bob was yanked back by his shoulder.
With such a sound Bob found himself on the ground, eyes closed and imagination running wild. A beat passes then another. Each moment stretched on longer than I should. After a while Bob finally opened his eyes and was pleasantly surprised to find no ghost waiting to scare him.
Getting up off the ground Bob looked down to see his trusty rusty Blade. Picking it up he felt the comforting weight of his rusty old companion.
Bob set off to who knows where, his rusty buddy trailing along with him. The sound metal on stone comforted Bob, it let him know that his most trusted companion had his back. Bob listened to the familiar sound as he walked down the hall, all his fears forgotten.
As his silhouette faded away the sound of his blade on the floor was still lingering through the air.
