A Little Bit of Speed

What is Speed?

Have you ever been called fast when you run? Or when you play tag and you have lots of fun? When you run, you have speed, you are fast, just be careful, as you get faster, you can crash, don’t be too dareful.

Is Speed a set number?

Speed is not set, no matter how high you count, not in a car, or a horse you might mount. Speed can be 1 or 3 as fast as a bee, or maybe 20 or 30, as fast as a birdy.

How do we give speed a number?

Speed is measured in Miles per  Hour which is used by a country with lots of power. Or it can be measured in kilometers per hour instead which will fill an American with great great dread.

What is the highest speed?

Speed has no max, at least we think, we might never know, until we’re on the brink. Humans have gone fast, showcasing our might, but never as fast as the speed of light.

Can I be speedy?

You can go as fast as you like, as fast as a car or as fast as a bike.

You could hop on a rocket to deep deep in space, flying by fast, barely leaving a trace.

Can speed be negative?

The answer is complicated, between yes and no, speed is always positive, velocity is not so.

Velocity is speed but with one small twist, it has a direction as well as your teacher insists.

How can Velocity be negative?

Velocity is speed but with East, North, or West, it is positive in one direction but negative in the rest. Velocity is positive on the way to school, but negative when going home, which is much more cool.

What is Speed?

Speed is fast and speed is slow, speed is any number you can go.

Velocity is speed but in a specific way, Velocity is speed, just in another way.

Speed is any movement at all, a little this way, or when you fall,

Speed is something we all need, cause to move anywhere, you need A Little Bit of Speed.

The story is done.

The book is done, no more I fear, though I hope I have made speed quite nice and clear.

The book is now over, done, and complete, I hope you found this lesson fun, fast, and neat.

Thanks for reading, I hope you either learned something or enjoyed the rhymes. This part is not part of the story, but RR requires 500 word's for the prologue and I have to put something here. I'm welcome feedback and criticism, and I hope to spread this to help some small kid learn more about speed through rhymes and words. In the future I hope to publish this, but that may not be possible. Anyways thanks for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day and year.

P.S. I still need to write more words so, "So long and thanks for all the fish!"
