The gift that was inactive ever since the other day made a change. He felt something changing and being shaped inside his mind, it didn't hurt him but it was a very disconcerting thing to him. When he opened his eyes he wasn't inside his room anymore.
The place that he suddenly appeared was a room made of a material that was like ice but the color was off, it was a darker tone of blue, and the the material was strangely transparent allowing him to see through the wall of the place. All that could be seen on the room are a blue door that was almost the triple Aster's size and a big number bookshelves.
Aster was surprised by the change of ambient but he wasn't scared or worried. He instinctively knew where he was and how to get out. Looking at the bookshelves and the books on them Aster was intrigued by the function of the place.
He picked up one random book on the shelf and read the cover, it was written year 1 month 3 day 22. Aster didn't though nothin about the title or understood its meaning but when he opened the book the meaning was clear.
What was inside of the book wasn't any kind of text, it are all his memories of the twentieth second day of the third month of his first year of life. It was surprising to relive all that happened that day but it wasn't something really advanced as the only thing recorded are facts, imagens and sounds.
It doesn't pass any kind of emotion or thought that he had that day, it was ultimately a flawed record. A good way to improve the library on the future was to record more than simply images, if he ever find a way to do it.
Now knowing that all that was present on the bookshelves was his memories or books that he had already read, Aster shifted his focus to the big door that was the only other thing inside the library.
The door was made of the some dark blue transparent material that was present in all the library, the only difference being that this time it was impossible to see through the door. As if to protect whatever was on the other side of the door.
When Aster though of opening the door he suddenly noticed that there has no handle to open it. The material that consisted the door was smooth and didn't had any kind of flaw if wasn't for the gap between the door and the wall it would be impossible to differentiate it from a normal wall.
He had no idea of how to open a door that didn't had a handle, but after thinking about it for some time he simply walked to the door and pushed it and surprisingly it opened. Different from a normal door this one didn't open normally to the sides, it waved from the point where he touched, like a drain a calm puddle, and disappeared spontaneously.
Aster was spooked by the mysterious way that the door opened but didn't let it impede him from seeing what was on the other side. When he passed through the door the sight that was present differed from what he was expecting.
It was only a vast expanse of uncolored void, it was totally empty with only the library present in all that space. Aster was disappointed by what he found, but he didn't knew what to expect anyway.
After entering on the library again the door closed automatically behind him, having explored all that was possible inside library Aster closed his eyes again and thought about leaving the library.
When he opened his eyes again the place that he saw was his his room with his father present, looking at him with a worried face. Seeing that focus returned to the eyes of his son Dayno asked, "What happened?" Why did you spaced out like this?" From his point of view Aster simply spaced out when he heard the word library and stayed that way form almost five minutes, he was starting to worry about the boy when he remembered some strange proprieties of gifts.
When Aster saw the worry on the face of his father, he immediately understood that something must have happened to him while he was exploring the mental library and the void. So to calm his father he explained what happened in his head, about the mysterious void and his surprise that the gift could do something so marvelous like that.

Hearing the explanation Dayno calmed down a great deal and remembering some stories about gifts that he listened when he was a active adventurer. These stories told of how gift holders may develop some marvelous abilities related to the gift when they are still in the initial stage of their lives.
The people don't know what may trigger this part of the gift or were lies the limits of these abilities, but that was being studied by the scholars of every institution of research on the continent. Because of these researches it was discovered that in truth anyone with talent enough and the means may develop one of those abilities.
The gift only bestows these abilities on their holder earlier than they could discover and do it themselves. The majority of the Gift holder never truly understand how their gifts work, but these that discovered say that it was like a muscle that they didn't know how to use before. After understanding how the gift works they have complete control over it.
These abilities while difficult to understand normally are very helpful to gift holders during the initial stages of their lives, being one of the principal reasons that gift holders are superior to the average person. In the late stages of their lifes a certain ability may not be so useful as in the begin but they would still have a kickstarter when compared with the other. And even in the later part of their lives they still have more potential of development being able to suddenly receive inspiration from the gift.
Listening the words spoken by his father Aster was impressed, he thought that his gift was only going to help him by passively increasing his mental fortitude and thinking speed. He never thought that it would have such a miraculous function and when he heard that it was supposedly going to happen again in the future he was elated.
Thinking about the possible development of the skill Dayno asked, "And you know how to develop this skill in the future, I suppose?" He knew that his son was a smart kid and based on the words used in the description of the library he should have at least a idea of how to improve it.
Remembering his earlier thoughts Aster said, " I think that getting somehow a way to record emotions and sensation is a form of advance this power. When I was reading my memory it was a bit dull, it was unfeeling. Really strange. " As he spoke Aster put a hand in his cheek, it was really a cute sight that made Dayno almost forget the words spoken.
Shaking his head to erase the smile on his face, Dayno stated his thoughts, " While it's not a form of growth for the skill, it would be very helpful if you read through all the books that you can in the future. In some circumstances you may have the necessity of a very specific kind of knowledge and if you clean all the libraries in your path there away will be extra knowledge inside your head." Aster marked these words as something to be remembered in the future. Extra knowledge was never something to be rejected after all.
Rising from his chair Dayno said as he pickedAster in his arms, " But let's leave this talk to another day. You should go sleep soon, we'll start your training as a mage tomorrow." While he carried Aster to leave the room to take his bath.
Listening these words Aster was all hipped up for the next day, enough to make Day o regret talking about with the boy, while imagining all kinds of thing for tomorrow he asked, " Will I finally get to use magic like daddy? Throwing wind razors and cutting all the bad guys? " He was even more excited remembering the overwhelming victory over the cultists on the other day. That day marked the life of the boy in a way that wasn't going to be forgotten in the future.
Hearing these words Dayno chuckled and said, " If you can throw wind razors we will discover tomorrow, but you should at least be able to learn magic." After the small talk on the way Dayno put Aster to the bed, who was excited for the next day.
