Day 1 Part 1

Day 1 Part 1

----------------------------------------

Location: The Hall of Origin

----------------------------------------

"Hi everyone! Come on in!" Mew cheerfully greeted. Today was the first day of the legendary and mythical Pokemon's yearly vacation. Mew was currently ushering them all into the Hall of Origin. As soon as they were all in the main hall, Arceus got ready to speak.

"Welcome everyone! Before you all go off to your rooms, I have a few announcements to make. First, the rules. I know I have said this literally millions of times before, but some of us," Arceus eyed a few specific legendaries. "Seem to need reminding. No fighting of any kind is allowed, except for battles in the arena. This includes arguing, insulting each other, and attacking each other. Am I clear?" A collective nod showed they all understood (or so Arceus hoped). "Secondly, I would like to tell you all that I have decided to invite a special guest this year."

"Who is it?" asked Keldeo.

Arceus chuckled. "I'll let you guess. It's someone you all know very well…" No one seemed to know (well, except maybe a certain pink cat), so he continued, "And his partner is a Pikachu,"

"Ash?!" came the response.

Arceus nodded. "As a little compensation for all he has done, and a bunch of you bugging me about it, I invited him this year. Yes, the Hall of Origin is for legendary and mythical Pokemon only, but I believe it's the least we could do for someone who had helped us so much."

"I know he's very nice," said Dialga, "but are you sure it's a good idea to invite a human to the Hall of Origin?"

"I don't know about your encounters with him," said Giratina "but I'm sure he's trustworthy. He basically saved my life after this crazy guy named Zero tried to drain all my power. Speaking of which, it was your fault that he managed to catch me in the first place!"

"What do you mean it was my fault?" asked Dialga.

"Don't act all innocent you pathetic excuse for a clock!" yelled Giratina, "You're the one who locked me in my dimension with your stupid time loop!"

"Well yeah," said Dialga "because you were trying to kill me!"

"Only because you and Palkia were making a mess of my dimension!"

"It was Dialga's fault!" shouted Palkia, "He started it!"

"ENOUGH!" roared Arceus, causing Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina to stop yelling and turn around. "Can't you three go one day without fighting? There is ONE rule here, and you three can't even obey it! You are supposed to be the CREATION trio, NOT the DESTRUCTION trio! If you can't stop fighting and bickering, I'll lock you in your dimensions for the rest of the week!"

"Yes Father," said Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina, still glaring at each other.

"Anyway," continued Arceus, "since the Chosen One is coming, I expect you all to be on your best behavior. We want this to be a nice visit for him. Am I understood?" A collective nodd bade Arceus continue. "Alright then, Mew, why don't you go get him?"

"On it Arcy!"

----------------------------------------

With Ash and Pikachu…

----------------------------------------

"ZZZZZ…" Ash Ketchum was currently asleep. Curled up beside him was his partner, Pikachu. Why was he asleep at 10:00 in the morning? The answer was quite simple and could be found in the form of a broken alarm clock not too far away from the bed.

"WAKE UP!" Ash jerked out of his sleep, almost banging his head on the ceiling. He groaned, only to see a giggling Mew in his room. "Mew! What was that for?"

"Oh, oopsie!" *giggles* "Arcy told me to come to get you. It's time for the party to get started!"

"Right," said Ash, rubbing his head "just let me grab my stuff,"

----------------------------------------

A Few Minutes Later…

----------------------------------------

"Ok Mew, I'm ready to go!" said Ash.

"Alright, hang on!" said Mew as she focused her energy on Ash and Pikachu. After a brief flash of light (special with pink confetti), they had teleported away.

----------------------------------------

Meanwhile…

----------------------------------------

"Ok," said Arceus, "remember, don't overwhelm the Chosen One. If you want to talk to him, try to keep it one or two at a time. Now, if you have any questions you can come talk to me later. For now, this meeting is dismissed."

As all of the Pokemon left the meeting room, Arceus sighed. He had hoped that this time, there would be no conflicts between Legendaries. But, as always, some kind of fight HAD to break out. He had anticipated this but didn't expect it to be on the FIRST day BEFORE he had finished the opening announcements.

'Oh well,' he thought, 'maybe having the Chosen One here will prevent any more arguments since most of them seem to have some respect for him,'

----------------------------------------

With Ash and Pikachu…

----------------------------------------

Ash felt odd. Kind of like he had been teleported but the teleportation was incomplete. He opened his eyes to find himself sitting in a small pink cart. 'Huh? Is this where Mew is taking me?' He thought.

Just before he started thinking that the legendary Pokemon gathered in a dimension with pink clouds, a pink sky, and… were those giant gumballs? He realized that he was moving. He also realized that the 'pink cart' was, in fact, part of a very long roller coaster, and that said roller coaster had just reached the top of a very high peak. 'Uh oh,' was his last thought before the roller coaster shot down, heading towards the defenetily-not-1000-foot-tall loop the loops.

"Hey, Arcy! I'm back!" said Mew as she appeared in the Hall of Origin with a flash of light.

"Good, where's the Chosen One?" asked Arceus.

"Oh," said Mew, eyes glowing for a second, "here they are!" She revealed a dazed Ash and Pikachu who, for some reason, looked like they had just been on a wild roller coaster ride.

"Mew!" scolded Arceus, "I thought I told you to go easy on the teleporting!"

"Whoopsie!" said Mew, playfully flipping upside down.

Arceus sighed, having a feeling Mew had remembered his instructions perfectly well.

As Ash recovered, he looked around him. "Huh? Arceus?"

Arceus nodded towards him. "Greetings, Chosen One, I apologize if the travel here was a little rough,"

"It's fine," said Ash, slowly getting up, "I know what Mew is like,"

Arceus chuckled. "Indeed you do. Now, I'm going to give you a little gift which I believe you'll find quite useful during your visit." He reached out and tapped Ash on the head.

Ash blinked. "What exactly did that do?"

"Give it some time; maybe it takes a while," said a voice next to him.

Ash turned around. "Who said that?"

"Me, of course. Who else would it be?"

Ash turned around. "Pikachu? Is that you?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I can understand you?" said Ash, "That means…"

"Yes, Chosen One," said Arceus, "as you have noticed you now have the ability to understand Pokemon,"

"Wow," said Ash, thinking of how useful this would be, and decided he was going to have a chat will all his Pokemon as soon as he got home.

"Just to let you know," said Arceus, "I've put you in room 35. You and Pikachu will be staying there for the week,"

"Okay," said Ash, "uh, where is it exactly?"

"Here, I'll take you!" said Mew. Before Ash could protest, she grabbed him by the hand and teleported. When Ash recovered from another crazy teleportation, this time out of a pink cannon that shot him into a pink cloud made of cotton candy, he noticed that they were in front of a door marked '35' in large gold lettering.

"K, have fun!" shouted Mew as she shot off.

"Wait, Mew!" said Ash, but Mew was already long gone, "Oh well,"

Ash opened the door and took in his surroundings. The room was very large, with two beds in one corner of the room. There was one about his size, with one Pikachu's size next to it. On one side of the room, there were a few windows that showed a view of a beautiful garden. A large chandelier hung from the ceiling and lit up the room with hundreds of tiny lights.

"Wow," said Ash, "this is really nice, huh buddy?"

"Yeah…" said Pikachu.

Ash flopped on the bed and let out a satisfied "Ahh!" Just as he was about to doze off, the door opened, and two Pokemon flew in. Ash jumped up, startled. "Azelf? Victini?" The two said Pokemon immediately flew over to him. Ash smiled. "Hi, guys. Nice to see you again!"

Azelf and Victini looked equally pleased to see him. "Ash!" said Azelf, "I was wondering when you would get here!"

"You knew I was coming?" asked Ash.

"Yeah," said Victini, "Arceus announced it this morning. I couldn't wait until you came!"

"Me too!" said Azelf, "The only time I got to see you after stopping Team Galactic was when we had to defeat them all over again."

"And I never got to thank you for freeing me from the barriers at Eindoak Town," said Victini.

"It's no problem," said Ash, "I just do what I can."

"Ash," said Azelf, "sometimes, I don't think you realize the magnitude of the things you have done for us,"

"What do you mean?" asked Ash.

"You do know that regularly saving legendary's lives and stopping evil humans is not something that most people do, right?" asked Victini.

"Well," said Ash, "I knew I was helping out a bit, but…"

"Come on Ash," said Azelf, " Why do you think Arceus invited you here?"

"Because I'm the Chosen One?" asked Ash.

"Yeah," said Azelf, "but there have been many, many Chosen Ones throughout the centuries. YOU are the first one ever to enter the Hall of Origin. Arceus invited you alone have proven yourself worthy."

Victini nodded. "Yeah, you promised you would help me get to the ocean and you even died trying to help me get there,"

"Well, you're all my friends, right?" said Ash, "So I'm just doing my best to help a friend,"

Azelf sighed. "I guess you could put it that way,"

"Anyway," said Victini, "do you remember Latias?"

"Yeah of course!" said Ash, "How could I forget?"

"Well," continued Victini, "she might have a little surprise for you,"

"Suprise?" asked Ash.

"Yeah, wanna go see her?"

"Sure!" said Ash, "Where is she?"

"Follow me," said Azelf, "I think I remember where she and her- I mean where she was staying."

Ash, being the dense person he was, didn't notice Azelf's slip-up much to Willpower Pokemon's relief. Pikachu, however, did but couldn't quite figure out what Azelf was going to say.

----------------------------------------

Several minutes of walking (floating, levitating, whatever) later, they arrived at another large door. Ash opened it and saw a room similar to his, it had two beds, one slightly smaller than the other.

"Hey Latias!" said Victini, "Ash is here!"

One blurry figure later, Ash found himself on the floor, being nuzzled by yet another psychic-type legendary.

"Hi Latias!" said Ash, "Good to see you again!"

Latias levitated off him. "Good to see you too Ash! I missed you so much after you left."

"Yeah, sorry about that," said Ash, "I meant to come to visit, but things got in the way…"

"Also, you probably forgot," said Pikachu flatly.

"Didn't!" said Ash, "Well… not on purpose…"

Pikachu groaned. "No one forgets things on purpose,"

"Exactly, so it wasn't my fault!" said Ash triumphantly.

Pikachu sighed. "Anyway Latias, what's the surprise?"

"Oh!" said Latias, "I'll be right back!" She did a few flips in excitement before zooming off to another part of the room. "Brother!"

"What is it, sis?" asked a voice.

"Come here!"

Ash was confused. Did Latias just say brother? "Latios!?" exclaimed Ash in surprise as the blue dragon flew toward him.

"Ah it's you Ash," said Latios, "I was wondering what Latias was so excited about. Good to see you,"

"But I thought-" started Ash.

"Right, that," said Latios, "well, it's a long story, but apparently something you did to the timeline revived me somehow."

"What exactly did I do to the timeline?" asked Ash.

"I don't know the details," said Latios, "Dialga gave a very vague answer…"

"Hmm, maybe I'll ask Celebi later," mused Ash.

"Ash," said Latios, snapping Ash back to reality, "I want to ask you something."

"What is it?" asked Ash.

"Well, I've heard from a lot of legendaries and my sister of course, but I wanted to know for myself. Why do you do what you do?"

"All what?" said Ash, slightly confused.

"Why do you constantly help anyone in need?" asked Latios, "I mean it's not like you're getting a reward for helping them,"

"Oh," said Ash, "I never really thought of that. I guess the reward is kind of in the thing itself, you know, that feeling you get when you do something nice for someone."

"Very commendable," said Latios, "I see why so many legendaries trust you so much. Personally, I never got to thank you for helping me and my sister in Altomare so I wanted to thank you for that,"

"It was no problem," said Ash, "I'm sorry I couldn't do more, you died after all…"

"Hey Ash!" said Latias, trying to brighten the conversation a little, "What are you going to do now since you're the strongest trainer in the world?"

"You know about that?" asked Ash.

"Yeah, Arceus had all the Legendaries to watch your match in the Hall of Origin," replied Latias.

Ash gulped. "Well, I'm glad I won then," He was glad that he hadn't known ALL of the Legendary Pokemon were watching him. If he did, he would have been a lot more nervous.

"So, what are you going to do?" asked Latias.

"I don't know," said Ash, "I've traveled through all the regions and done everything I could think of… but I guess I can always decide later,"

Before Latias could respond, a bell rang.

"Oh, it's time for lunch!" said Victini, "Hey, Ash, race you there!"

Ash watched as all of them except Latios and Pikachu zipped away. Ash turned to Latios. "Um, do you know where they're going?"

Latios nodded. "Here, I'll give you a ride there," he lowered himself so Ash could get on his back.

Ash got on Latios and nodded towards Pikachu who quickly hopped onto his shoulder. As soon as Pikachu got on, Latios took off in the direction of Latias, Azelf, and Victini.
