It was 2 AM on Sunday when Towa was sitting in front of the computer, Sumire already asleep as tomorrow she'll have to go back to work after 2 weeks off.
Towa couldn't sleep. Not unusual. It's still annoying though. He couldn't stop thinking about the upgrades he'd done to his Roadster because he hadn't got a chance to try it on the Fruits Line yet as he didn't want to piss Sumire off anymore than he already did.
Still, Towa was really eager to see how much the upgrades had improved the Roadster. Maybe this is the time? Sumire was sleeping soundly by this point. Towa thought that If he sneaked out, it's not like Sumire is going to care, right? As long as he got home before he had to get her to work it's not an issue.
Pacing around in the living room, Towa finally decided that he had to try it, otherwise he'd be up all night anyway. It's been a few days and driving on the normal roads it already felt way different, surely it's going to completely transform the way he runs the Fruits Line.
It didn't take long at this hour to get from Mito to the Mountain Pass, especially with Towa being able to drive the Roadster at pretty much the full speed on the Joban Expressway. The first time at properly high speed revealed that the steering wheel did get more sensitive to any bumps on the road. It's slightly unnerving but manageable.
The south section of the Fruits Line also revealed that the Roadster was much more responsive to steering input. It was now able to hold the line which Towa pointed the steering toward better, although Towa also feared the rear end breaking away unexpectedly more than before.
The grip level, even without warming up the tires, was pretty amazing as well. The corners that Towa used to be scared of were now so easy to go through with no tire squeal at all. The true test, however, was how much time Towa gained from all the improvements.
The Roadster lined up under the flower park sign and there was no other car in sight. The countdown started and the heart rate went up to sky high level. Then the Roadster launched away down the course.
Immediately, Towa felt that the brakes are much more responsive and yet way more linear, with good pads and brake fluid, the braking power clearly was superior to him and there's more nuance in the pedal feel. Yet, every time he went into the braking zone, the little nagging feeling of 'is it too fast?' that made Towa brake at a similar distance from before.
Towa threw the Roadster into the corner at a higher speed, slightly higher than before as according to the speedometer, and it was as expected that what felt like the limit of adhesion was now not the case.
The first run felt a whole lot better, so Towa expected a much improved time from the previous record of 2:32.68. That was good enough for 9th on the leaderboard. It turns out, he only managed with the first run, the time of 2:32.62, with no position change.
What's going on? Towa wondered. It felt much faster than before with how he went into the corners, but the time barely changed.
That made Towa drive the car back to the starting point and try again. He expected the time to tumble hard. He expected with the 500,000 yen in mods would gain him at least 4-5 seconds allowing him to be within a few seconds of the 7th place, which was currently around 2:26.
Even after Towa ran the whole night, he didn't manage to get below 2:30, and it was absolutely, hugely disappointing for Towa. He had no choice but to drive home, feeling massively disappointed by the whole thing.
What's wrong? Something clearly was wrong. Very wrong, but Towa didn't know what was exactly wrong.

In the morning, 9 AM, Norio went into the cauliflower field outside his house to check on the harvests which probably would be ready in a month or so.
After the outburst he had a few days ago, it seemed that it worked in showing his true frustration to his mother, which made him able to sit down with her and talk, explaining what's really wrong. It actually made him pretty surprised how receptive she was.
The one thing he feared most, was the reveal that he was gay, yet his mother didn't care one bit. She even smirked slightly like she already knew something about that, but didn't mention anything. Which to be fair, made Norio extremely confused as to why she kept trying to set up dates for him, but he thought that maybe it's just old, conservative people's thing trying to maintain order in their life.
One thing she kept coming back to though, was telling him he should quit his job at ◯ University, which pays well, but clearly wasn't suitable for Norio in any sense or form. He could just come back and help on the agricultural farm and easily sustain both their lives. It's not like they're extravagant with anything, and his mother could really use another pair of hands. Yet, Norio was still extremely divided. He wasn't sure at all if that's a good idea as the full-time employment was stable.
It's scary, leaving something stable for another thing that was a surefire uncertainty, with a lot of factors that could make or break your finances.
Norio was watering some part of the carrot, which they just planted on another section of their land. It'll be ready in about 2 months. It's surprisingly peaceful doing all of this. Agriculture was something Norio was also good at growing up here, especially with his father's advice.
Yet, at the same time, that thought made Norio shudder, but he tried to let it go away.
A small, red Daihatsu Hijet with music blasting loudly even if the cabin was closed went by, before stopping in a hurry as soon as the driver noticed Norio in the field. This caught the attention of Norio as he also noticed the young, punk-ish looking girl inside peeking at him. Then the Hijet's driver's window rolled down.
"Oi! Norio-neechan!" The greeting was from Mimori Miyagi. Norio thought that she's still boisterous like she's always been.
Norio quickly walked to Mimori, hearing the loud music playing from the Hijet and not quite sure what the song was.
"What's this song? It's pretty catchy." Norio asked, which made Mimori grin.
"Hoshimachi Suisei's Bibideba. You like it?" Mimori replied. Norio never even heard of this artist.
"Is she one of those online artists that's getting very popular?"
"It's 2024, brother, virtual is the future." Mimori explained in her usual particular tone, in a voice that's almost a snarl.
Norio looked around the quiet, empty street of the Sunday morning, and wondered something.
"Visiting your grandmother?" Norio asked about the old lady of the Miyagi family, who's been staying at Mito Chuo Hospital for months by this point.
"Yeah, but she can wait," Mimori answered, her arms hanging out the Hijet's window in a cool way, "she doesn't have much time left, but another 10 minutes or so won't change a thing."
"Hey, now, you might regret saying that some day."
"Maybe, but I want to talk to you."
Norio was now curious, talking about what?
"Well you pull over there alright?" Norio said as he pointed toward the side of the road, in front of his field.
"Alright." Mimori obliged.
The red Hijet's bed was empty and relatively clean, so Mimori just dropped the tailgate as soon as she got to the back of it.
"So, what is it?" Norio asked again.
"What did you tell Ayumi-san to tell my father? He was mega pissed!" Mimori was talking about the attempt to arrange a meet up during the Golden Week.
"Nothing in particular?" Norio replied honestly, as he couldn't even recall what he said then.
"Well, thanks for that anyway as he seems to be backing off, big time."
"I didn't even do anything."
Mimori laughed at what Norio said, before she sighed in a relieving manner.
"You know if you compare Kako-chan to what my dad was back when he was about our age, he was even more punk than Kako-chan. To be honest I'm even more punk than him so I don't know why he takes issue with it." Mimori was talking about her boyfriend, whom Norio had heard about before.
"Isn't he like, only in a band as a hobby, but works at an office?"
"Right! But my dad had to focus on being a part-time musician. He himself had been in a band!"
That was not something Norio had imagined the patriarch of the Miyagi family having done, but then he was born maybe 10-15 years after that now fat, balding man had been a dreaming teenager?
"I'm sure he'd only done that because he cared about you..." Norio mused.
"Yeah, that's the nice way of describing it, isn't it?" Mimori scoffed.
"My mother is pretty much the same. My father was worse." Norio looked at his house which was on the right side from the Hijet.
"I know. You never looked really happy living there. That's why you went to Shizuoka, yeah?"
Mimori was right, although it's pretty clear to anyone who remotely knew about him.
"It is different now though." Norio said, with a slight smile, which surprised Mimori.
"Different?" Mimori asked with frowned eyebrows, very curious about what Norio said.
"Yeah, very different..." Norio nodded, hesitating but decided there's nothing to hide, "I might quit my job and come back to help my mom run this farm."
Mimori immediately jumped up from the back of her truck with glee.
"Really?! That's great! I'd love to see you back in that field everyday!" Mimori exclaimed with excitement.
"Why are you so upbeat about it? I said I might, not that I have decided to do it already." Norio quickly explained, although it didn't change Mimori's attitude much.
"Something's stopping you? Who cares! You belong in that field,...!" Mimori, being excited, almost swore, but stopped herself.
Norio couldn't help and chuckled at Mimori's constant excitement, compared to her siblings who were reserved like the rest of the family, Mimori had always been the black sheep of the Miyagis in Norio's opinion.
"There's nothing that actually stops you here, is there?" Mimori looked at Norio, who's looking down at both his feet which are suspended in the air by the Hijet's bed.
"Yeah. It's just..." Norio was still hesitant, "I'm afraid."
"Afraid of what?"
"Failure. What if it doesn't work out?"
"So just go back to whatever bullshit job you had before, isn't that possible?"
"It's easier said than done..."
It was at this point that Mimori felt Norio's not exactly being completely honest. Maybe it was just the vibe, but she could feel it.
"Is it Kisho?"
Mimori's question made Norio go completely quiet. With a slight sadness in his expression.
"You still miss him, aren't you?" Mimori continued.
"It's been 5 years, it's long enough." Norio replied, trying to maintain his normal composure.
Mimori was now squinting at Norio, looking like she's skeptical about that statement.
Then, after a short pause, Mimori suddenly looked at her Casio wristwatch and realized something.
"Oh shit. I have to go." Mimori panicked slightly as she realized they've been talking for way longer than expected.
"Go on then. Your grandma is waiting." Norio jumped off the Hijet's bed as he was saying.
This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source.
Mimori pointed the finger gun at Norio, and she ran to the driver's door immediately. She jumped in without hesitation as Norio watched.
"Oi!" Mimori shouted from the window.
"Huh?" Norio looked at her with raised eyebrows.
"I really meant it, alright?"
"What?"
"You, coming back to work on your farm. You'd be more happy than whatever it is that you're doing."
Once Mimori said that, she launched the Hijet away quite exuberantly. Funnily enough, it was Norio who taught her how to drive a few years ago after he came back. She tried with her father but it was a disaster as they always argued, but Norio being her teacher meant she was driving with the same vigor as he was.
Norio thought about what Mimori said, as he went back to check the carrots as he was doing before.
Was she right in saying that?

10 AM.
Sachiko didn't really understand why when she told her father she'd be riding her 50cc Honda Little Cub to visit a friend in Takita, he appeared very concerned. It's a 4km journey on a scooter that he himself found and bought for her so she could travel places. It had also been around 3 months since she got her moped license, so it's not even like she was still a complete newbie.
That was maybe the reason why her dad didn't stop her, apart from looking very concerned even when she rode off from their house. The little Puco Blue and Coconut White Little Cub, exactly the same color scheme as the one that appeared on 'Super Cub', which was her favorite anime of recent years. Her dad found it, new old stock, at a dealership in Niigata.
Anyway, slow and steady, obeying the traffic law. Ippei told her yesterday on their date at a hidden soba restaurant, that his dad would not be around the entire Sunday, she'd be welcome to visit him. As Ippei always had to come to her on his Gorilla bike all this time, it seemed like a fair thing to do.
What concerned Sachiko a little bit was that when asked if there's any place near his house to visit, he appeared so confused, while forgetting that his backyard basically was the lake Kasumigaura. She thought maybe having lived there his entire life dulled the 'occasion' of that place?
Anyhow, it didn't take long for Sachiko to reach the Noda PC shop. She was incredibly surprised that it really was a PC shop. Ippei told her about it maybe once or twice, but it was unusual as she thought Takita was more of a middle-upper class residential area for old, well off people, but there was indeed a sign out front of this big, square house that stated 'Noda PC'.
As soon as Sachiko stopped the Little Cub on the driveway of the house, Ippei peeked through his bedroom window and saw her getting off the bike and removing the helmet. Right on time, as he expected.
Ippei quickly ran down the stairs, through the storefront, and out the front door to see Sachiko there, who smiled at him immediately.
"You really live in a PC shop, huh?" That was the first thing Sachiko said, which made Ippei slightly flustered.
"I know it's a bit weird... But yes." Ippei replied, which made Sachiko chuckle.
"Is it fine if I leave this thing here?"
Sachiko motioned her hand towards the Little Cub, which was parked underneath the carport wide enough for 2 cars.
"It's fine. My dad never comes home until very late on Sunday." Ippei replied, "Why don't you come in? I'm preparing lunch."
"What's on the menu today that requires 2 hours?" Sachiko wondered, as she walked towards the door.
"I'm making Gyoza from scratch."
"Oooh, so you really can cook."
"Why are you saying that like you don't believe me?"
Sachiko burst out laughing as a response to that observation.
As Sachiko got inside the PC shop, she was amazed by what she saw inside that the outside of this building did not indicate. A very tightly packed computer store with a lot of parts, some old, some new. It didn't have a display case for merch as such, only shelves of parts randomly scattered around. It's not a place where you'd come and browse for things.
One of the things Sachiko noticed, and was pretty surprised to see, was the group of selected Oozora Subaru merch on the workstation.
"Shuba!" Sachiko said, as she picked up a plushie on the desk.
Ippei immediately looked mortified as he saw Sachiko doing exactly that, which made Sachiko thought she did something wrong, like touching stuff she shouldn't be as you never knew with the otaku sort.
"Sorry sorry sorry." Sachiko immediately apologized and put the plushie down at the same place quickly.
What Sachiko didn't realize was that it was not her picking up stuff that made Ippei make that face, it's the realization that Sachiko would make the connection that his dad was a Vtuber otaku. Ippei quickly calmed down though, and knew that it's a reaction that would probably scare her.
"It's... it's fine... actually." Ippei stuttered a bit, but he reached to pick up the same plushie up, "I sometimes can't help and squeeze it as well."
"I didn't know you watch Vtubers. I thought you said you didn't, actually." Sachiko had calmed down from the clarification.
"I really don't. This is not mine."
"Ah so it's your dad's!"
Ippei was quite shaken from hearing that absolutely correct observation, which Sachiko didn't realize at all, even if he had time to brace for it.
"Come through here and we'll get to the living room." Ippei just tried to quickly move on.
Sachiko then followed Ippei through the dividing door leading to the living room, which, in contrast to the PC shop, was very normal, if a bit small. Neat and tidy. With a big television on one side with a small table in front with some cushions for sitting on the floor. It was definitely surprisingly small considering how big the house was, but it made sense as more than ¾ of the space had been converted for business.
"I still can't believe Yamada-sensei suddenly turned up at your house." Sachiko talked about what Ippei told her yesterday.
"Right?!" Ippei turned and replied, his eyes opened wide, "I'm still not sure what she wanted, to be honest, and my father didn't say anything."
"Fixing up her PC, maybe?" Sachiko suggested, but thought against it, "Then again, I think she lives in Ishioka, why would she come here?"
"Maybe there's a lack of PC repair shops in Ishioka? I don't know." Ippei replied, even if it didn't make sense when he thought about it.
"Maybe..."
"It seems like most small businesses are going away everyday, to be honest," Ippei continued, "but it still doesn't make sense for Yamada-sensei to come here based on Google Maps recommendation."
"Maybe the review's really good?" Sachiko wondered, to which Ippei shook his head.
"I don't think there's more than 3-4 reviews on there, and one of them is my dad pretending to be someone else from 5 years ago?"
Sachiko noticed a lot of trophies on the big cabinet in the living quarters. A LOT. It was so numerous she didn't know the total amounts. It caught her eyes so she went and read what they were from.
"Japanese Formula 3 Championship. Champion?" Sachiko read the English part on one of the big trophies, "When was this? Must've been a long time ago."
"Before I was born, I think. 2005 maybe?" Ippei replied, Sachiko opened her mouth in wonderment.
"Your dad was a racing driver, huh? How cool."
"That was a long time ago though. These days he just lazes around doing nothing much."
"So why did a champion racing driver become a PC shop owner then?"
That question which seemed normal and logical stumped Ippei a little bit as well.
"I haven't a clue, my dad never told me and I never even got to see him race." Ippei replied honestly, to which Sachiko nodded.
"Motegi, Suzuka, Fuji. I've only ever been to Fuji. The mountain, not the race track, I guess." Sachiko mused, as she continued to read what's on the trophies.
Ippei thought Sachiko was a girl with a wanderlust. She always talked about going to places. Come to think of it, he's never even been past Kanagawa, and even then it was on a school trip that he went to Hakone.
It must be nice having a family who always goes places, huh...
Ippei knelt down and pulled the floor cushion to the front of the table, signifying Sachiko to sit down which she promptly did. Then he did the same.
"Want to play Switch?" Ippei asked.
"Eh..." Sachiko pouted.
"Or PS5?" Ippei then pointed to the TV in front of them, there was indeed a PS5 there.
"I'd rather help you make the Gyoza, to be honest."
"Really?..." Ippei was slightly scared, but not so much that he'd say no, "Alright, I guess..."
They both then got up and went into the kitchen, which was in a whole another room. It was a clean, very organized kitchen, Sachiko thought. She knew how to cook as well, but she wouldn't describe herself as a good one or experienced as it's mostly from home economics. Ippei had a completely different vibe that even though he didn't admit, was pretty clear to anyone observing.
It's a bit weird, actually, when Sachiko thought about it for a minute. The kitchen space was very different from the workspace out front. It's a separation. Usually a house would have a unifying feeling to it but this one didn't. Another thing which kinda confirmed what she guessed from what Ippei had told her before, was that it was clearly a space without women in it. He didn't tell her in certain terms, but Sachiko's pretty certain that his mom wasn't around.
Ippei went to the fridge, and brought out every ingredient he'd needed, one by one, and organized it very neatly on the counter. Sachiko was very excited.
"Ooooh. What do you need help with?" Sachiko asked.
"How confident are you?" Ippei asked back, which made Sachiko give a sheepish smile.
"Not very..."
Ippei thought about it for a second, then handed Sachiko a whole head of cabbage, and pointed to a knife nearby.
"Wash it then finely chop it, you won't mess it up. I'm sure." Ippei said with a smile. Sachiko was glad he had some confidence in her, maybe more so than she did herself.
Sachiko did exactly that, if a bit clumsily, but she didn't make too much of a mess. Ippei didn't say anything while he's doing his part, which was actually the majority of the work.
"Are we going to have only gyoza?" Sachiko asked, while watching Ippei crush some garlic.
"Nope, there's some leftover rice so I'll be making some fried rice to go along with it. But it won't take long to do that." Ippei replied.
"Have you ever thought about going into culinary school, if you like doing it so much?"
Ippei didn't answer immediately, which kinda made Sachiko a bit nervous. A topic about after high school was the one they discussed surprisingly often.
"I don't actually like it, to be honest. It's more of a necessity." Ippei replied after a bit of time passed.
"You don't actually like it?" The answer surprised Sachiko a lot, considering how clear it was that Ippei knew what he was doing. More so than someone who only learnt of it via home economics classes where being a necessity was actually true.
"Like I already told you, I think? My dad's cooking is atrocious."
"It's that bad huh..."
"I do have a hazy memory of my mom's cooking not being that much better either."
That statement also surprised Sachiko very much as it was the first time Ippei ever mentioned his mother.
"What happened to her?" Sachiko asked, she contemplated it and wasn't sure if she should at all. Yet she was too curious not to.
"Ah. They separated a long time ago. She's not dead, don't worry." Ippei replied in almost a joking tone, the small chuckle at the end confirmed to Sachiko that he didn't mind all that much, which was a relief. Although it did feel weird how he's talking about her.
Sachiko didn't say anything afterward, however. A bit saddened to hear that even if she had never met neither of Ippei's parents. Although it did only confirm the suspicion that she already had a while back.
"Oh, can you grab some eggs from the fridge? My hand's contaminated at the moment." Ippei asked.
"Sure!" Sachiko obliged.
A while after, the gyoza filling was made, and both are together putting in the wrapper to finish. Ippei had to show how to do it first, but Sachiko got it pretty quickly as well. She learnt it from school before, but it was a while ago so a refresh was helpful. Even then, Ippei was much faster at wrapping the gyoza, even if the end results were pretty equally neat and tidy from both of them.
From time to time, each also checked out each other's work.
Sachiko noticed that Ippei's hands were pretty delicate looking, and could be described as beautiful, even if she wouldn't tell him directly. It almost made her jealous to be honest as she didn't think her own hands looked that good. Also, when he's wrapping the gyoza there's a certain precision to the movement. It's mesmerizing to Sachiko. While Ippei only checked that Sachiko was wrapping the gyoza correctly.
In the end, Ippei made about 70% of the gyoza, as he was so fast.
"That was fun!" Sachiko said, as she's looking at the tray full of gyoza.
Fun? Ippei guessed that in some way it was fun.
"You made this often?" Sachiko asked, her eyes widened with excitement.
"Not often actually, because it's not worth doing it only for myself." Ippei replied, which made Sachiko raise her eyebrows.
"Eh? You don't make these for your dad?"
"Well..." Ippei thought about it, maybe it sounded like he didn't like his dad or something, "It's not like he's around much on holidays, and it takes a long time."
"I see."
"Would you mind if I fried it?"
Just the thought of gyoza being fried in the pan made Sachiko's mouth watered.
"Yes, please." Sachiko answered without hesitation. Was that even a question that needed asking?
"Alright."
After another while, Ippei finished frying all the gyoza, then he went to make the Chinese style egg fried rice which would be the main course. It didn't take long at all. After everything was finished, both Ippei and Sachiko carried the food to the living room table.
It looked so good! Sachiko couldn't wait to try them. She'd been waiting for this for many weeks. She couldn't help and brought out her phone to take some pictures. Even if Ippei nearly already stabbed one gyoza with a fork.
"Try it before it's cold!" Ippei said in an unexpectedly hurried voice.
"I know. I know." Sachiko pouted as she was slightly annoyed by the hurrying tone, "Thanks for the food."
Sachiko obliged, she picked up one of the gyoza with a fork, observing how hot it would be, and carefully bit into it.
Sachiko had a realization, which she kinda expected from seeing how it was made.
"Wow." Sachiko exclaimed.
"Is it good?" Ippei asked, anxiously.
"I mean..." Sachiko was trying to think of a way to describe it, "Have you considered opening a restaurant?"
That reply, along with a shocked expression from Sachiko, made Ippei slightly flustered, although there was a proudness to go along with it. He giggled slightly with sudden proudness.
"Really?" Ippei was asking, like he thought she just praised him because it was the kind thing to do, even if that was not the case.
"Seriously. This is so delicious!" Sachiko said, stabbing another one with a fork ready to eat more, "If only I could have you around to make it so I can eat this everyday haaahhh..."
That statement made Ippei go beet red. Sachiko didn't realize what's going on until she looked up at him and saw Ippei blushing.
"I mean. I wouldn't mind making it for you everyday..." Ippei replied shyly, and it made Sachiko realize the implication which made her blushing red also.
They could not say another word after that. Only continued eating.
After lunch, Ippei and Sachiko walked to the east side from his house, heading towards Lake Kasumigaura, the second largest lake in all of Japan only second to Lake Biwa. The idea of living near such a place seemed grandiose to Sachiko, despite herself living only a short, 15 minutes walk away from it, for it to be almost a backyard, it's much more special. Ippei never thought of it that way, however, as he's so used to it by now having lived here all his life.
"The breeze is pretty nice today, huh." Sachiko mused as she looked out to the lake.
"You can see this from Okazaki, can't you? It's not like you live far from it." Ippei said without thinking. That observation from Ippei made Sachiko sneer at him a little and he realized that maybe he shouldn't have said it.
"I'm sorry but walking around Omuro isn't as glamorous as in Takita." There's a definite snide tone in Sachiko's voice, and it made Ippei red with embarrassment.
Sachiko was totally right, even Ippei had to admit that, Omuro was a place mostly full of marine life farms, and it's right beside JGSDF camp. Takita was a much more glamorous place.
The wind was picking up a bit, it made Sachiko's long hair flowing, so she had to flick it slightly so it's not in her face. Ippei was observing, and he couldn't look away as he found her to be so captivating.
"Why did your dad settle in Takita anyway? Did he like fishing or something?" Sachiko suddenly asked, which took Ippei out of his thoughts and fumbled a bit.
"As far as I know he gets seasick very easily. So probably not." Ippei replied.
"Ehhhh? He could do it from the shore quite easily right?" Sachiko looked perplexed.
"You're right, but I have never seen him having an interest in fishing."
"So it must have been something else. There must be a reason, isn't there?"
"Maybe, but I don't know." Ippei shrugged.
"Good environment, good education, good opportunities? Tsukuba is only a few minutes away..."
What Sachiko's describing about Tsuchiura painted it in a great, optimistic light and all, but Ippei couldn't really agree with that viewpoint.
To him, it's not quite the big, bustling city full of lights and opportunities like Tokyo, and yet, it's not exactly the quiet, rural place where you could get away from the chaos of it all. It's the worst of both worlds, really. It's a town that lost its importance long ago and was now full of old, divorced dad doing recreational stuff because they had nothing better to do in their lives.
Tsukuba got its status as a science city, but what's great about that? The idea of a 'tech' city never had an appeal to Ippei Noda. It always felt cold and soulless.
If Ippei could get away from here, he would. The thought of moving away to Tokyo was indeed alluring, even if it's only for the excitement that comes to the big city, and if Sachiko would be there with him, he would take that without hesitation.
Would that be a great idea though? For Ippei still had no idea what exactly it was that he wanted to do after high school. It's not like he'll be unable to do whatever he wanted, but what exactly was it that he wanted to do?
That thought only made Ippei want to pull his hair out.
