Being a superhero from comic books sounds great, doesn't it? Being superman or captain America. Being able to fly? Be bullet proof? Strong enough to hold a building up with just a pinkie finger? Fighting your arch nemesis? Supervillains are always good to have in a good superhero comic. I used to love comic books, thinking about it now really brings me back to my childhood and makes me sad, too bad there are no super villains. I'm getting off track now. Where was I. Oh I remember. Being a superhero really sounds good on paper but in reality, it sucks. Let me start from the beginning and explain why.
Hi! My names William, William Bailey, the earths only super human. Well, the earths only 'super powered' human. Super powered also sounds wrong. What am I saying, I'm strong I guess? Well that’s what they told me. They said that my core body is strong enough to literally break through the earths gravitational pull and fly up. Even without trying I can float and hover, literally breaking all the rules of science here.
My strength is as unnatural as the rest of me. I have the ability to even hold up Everest, from base to top, if I tried but I guess I'm never going to bother trying... to much effort. Another aspect of that strength makes me Bullet proof. Literally nothing gets in. They shot a rail gun, A FREAKING RAIL GUN, at point blank range at me but I swatted it away like it was nothing. Like you swatting a fly.
My speed is another bonus. I'm fast. Not 'The Flash' like fast but pretty good, especially if I'm flying. They told me my max to date is about 2600ish Mph, just over 4000 Kph, give or take. Which in many peoples opinion is fast enough but for me I think is WAAAY to slow. But you can't have everything and I'm getting faster every day, even if its only by a little bit.
But the strangest of my 'god like' abilities to date, which really stumps them, is my natural immune system. Which means I'm naturaly immunity to everything. Literally. I don't have to eat, drink, sleep or even breathe and my body will keep me alive, even in space. My body creates energy on its own like a little survival factory. I'm pretty much immune to death at this point. I wonder if I could survive on the sun? I'll have to try at some time. Would i feel the heat. Would it burn me up. Dam I'm getting off track again. I'll try and stay righted.

Where was I. Oh yes immunity. To be honest they've tried alot and I mean ALOT to try and break this impenetrable fortress. Poison, explosives, disintegration, hitting me with an atom moving at 99.99% the speed of light. Nothing. My body is immovable as the stars at this point. They call me an anomaly. A strange being, cast away from the natural order of humanity. Someone who defies all logic and belief. Some called me a messiah, others an alien but my friends just call me Will and I AM human.
My mum and Dad are human, as much as I know. My mum isn't around though, never met her. I don't think shes dead but she just decided I was too much when I was born and my dad took me in and then later I moved in with my friends so they could keep an eye on me and my wonderful ways. My dad I do see often though, he’s pretty lazy so its not hard to find him. Its pretty easy to get to people when you can be around the world in just over half a day anyway. They do 'try' and keep an eye on me though, apparently I'm considered a global threat? One that could potentially wipe-out humanity single handed. Its not a case of if I would do it but the fact I can do it is what they are worried about.
Now lets move on to the mediocre of my human abilities. My eyes work fine. Just like yours or any other passer by. 20x20 vision, although they are able to keep up with me even at max speed. Some people do believe I have X-ray vision but I definitely do not have xray vision. There have been occasions that I wish I did, especially during high school. Man I would’ve killed to have it then. Sorry, sorry off track again. Back to it.
Hearing is the same. I don't have super sonic hearing that can hear a single heartbeat half way across a city. Its impossible for me to do that even if I really tried but its enough to keep me going. Smell, touch and taste are the same as a perfectly heathly human so nothing special to write home about.
My appearance is basic. I'm not dashing or handsome or super chiselled like some superstars. I'm 6" 1' and finely muscled in all the right places. They say if I was any more packed on I would crunch through the earth but I'm not sure about that. I've got thin cut dark brown hair and deep green eyes. The only problem is my nose is slightly tooooo big but I can't be perfect otherwise people would be too jealous. I'd have flocks of women chasing me which is highly inconvenient.
The only other notable thing about me, apart from the super powers, is my personality. I'm kind, thoughtful and genuinely a nice guy. I have patience, which is a benefit to my friends. They did say they were lucky I was so kind and considerate. Otherwise it could've been catastrophic for the world if someone evil got their hands on this absolute machine of a body. But I'm in it instead. So hands off chums.
