Heey guys!
So I have got quite a few comments saying how quality seems to have decreased and yadda yadda yadda. At first I thought it was just because I had got down into my groove, my early chapters took way longer to write while I could do the latter ones consistently within not too long of a time.
But then my cheeky bastard of a writer friend, Alexis Keane, offered to edit one of my future chapters for quality check and that. I thought sure, why not mate? I'm not one to let go of such a magnanimous offer. Only later would I know the truly evil machinations he hid within that offer Tongue [https://forum.royalroadl.com/images/smilies/tongue.png].
So what he did was he edited my prologue, and lord almightly was that good. In fact it was so good that I realised what I had been writing had been crap. Like don't get me wrong, it wasn't just good just because he had written it, rather because it seemed to have so much more thought into word order, vocabulary and phrase choice and all the good stuff. All stuff I can do just as well I assure you Very Happy [https://forum.royalroadl.com/images/smilies/biggrin.png].
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
So why didn't I?
I had just gone into the thinking this was alike web novel (like the chinese ones) where quantity ( which i'm clearly not great at) is more important than quality. But I'd rather read good crap than stuff shit crap down my throat.
So I have decided to rewrite my chapters. How long will that take, about a week ( since I can do 1-2 per day). So does this mean a whole week without any chapters? Kinda, I read through my redone prologue and it is so much more of ajoy to read than my old one. If you cba, dw I'll write a summary of anything I have changed during the edits when I post my 13th chapter.
But just read the new prologue and tell me what you think of it? Cuz I think people are willing to read that, even if they do know the plot behind what will happen since the quality increase is just so much.
