Adriana's POV
I walk into a coffee shop and sigh. I was beginning to feel more and more depressed, it has been years and I still haven't found my mate. I order a hot chocolate and look around the little shop I come to regularly. Almost everyone here has a mate and their claiming is clearly show able. I feel tears brim up in my eyes and I run to the bathroom, locking myself in a stall to sit on the toilet. Once the tears have stopped, I unlock the stall and wash my face with cold water.
I head back to my table to find my hot chocolate and a piece of cake waiting for me. I glance around a few times to catch a brunette waiter leaning against a counter watching me. I cringed secretly and sat down, smiling small I dung into the chocolate cake.
He's pretty cute actually.
I smiled small biting my lip and thinking.
But he's not my mate.

I shake my head and took a sip of my hot chocolate.
I continue to eat my cake and finish up my coffee when I sense this bad feeling. Like something bad was about to happen and it stung in my gut.
Bang!
I jumped in my seat when the sound of a gun goes off. I run outside and frantically started looking around.
What the hell ?!
My heart begins to race I hope nobody is hurt. What if someone really got shot? What if the shooter will come here and start shooting at us ?!
I highly doubt that that gunshot was heard for miles. Police are bound to come either way.
I decided to just go home, but the fastest way is through the dirty alleyway. I sigh and start walking towards that nasty alleyway. I feel a weird vibe while walking next thing you know my wolf inside is yelling and shouting one word. 'MATE'. I looked around like a little kid looking for its mother at a festival. But the only person I saw was a grouchy looking man with a paper brown bag in his left and a silver gun in his right.
My eyes widen getting scared and backing into a brick wall. My voice was shaky as I tried to speak "uh... s-sir" He glared at me with wild hungry eyes and he lifted his silver gun, aiming at me. My voice hitched in my throat, wanting to come out and scream for help.
After I felt a hard impact on my right shoulder, making my head spin. I fall, dropping my small bag and my phone on the ground. I scream loudly and hold my bleeding shoulder. I feel the metal bullet dig deeper into my skin as I attempted to move. I pant loudly as I feel sweat running down the side of my forehead.
"Oh my god!" A deep sexy female voice shouts, resulting me to look over at the tall girl in a vest. My vision was too blurry to tell but my wolf was howling inside. I knew that woman was my mate. I ended up passing out still holding my bleeding shoulder.
I was happy though. I finally found my mate but in the most dangerous and weirdest way possible.
