I tapped my shoulders in repeated secession as I flowed down to ground level with my string in fighting position. I gloss over what seemed to be three human hunters surrounding MY wolves as they prepare to finish them off as they are on the ground. It really does make my gears grind that they are going to try and take something I spared.
At least some of them have some common decency or human morals but I'm not so sure it works with wolves. Also, whatever trick they used to avoid me will have to be analyzed further after this whole fiesta is over. Another thing that needs to be looked over, is the fact that from their earlier conversation that this forest is extremely dangerous the deeper you go in so does that mean they are strong?
I learned some good common sense about this world but I will have to capture one of them before I can proceed with my plans. Okay, I have my plans to capture one of them to further my expedition to whatever civilization is out there and learn the culture, more common sense, and other necessities.
I would also like if they have a camp so some supplies won't be necessary or a map as well to let me know where I am at. Taking everything into consideration, I grab my web launcher and shot towards the archer not with the deadly ones, since that will be a waste but with the sticky ones.
I will also keep that girl alive, since she was the first one to burst out but also has the most reasoning as far as I can tell out of the group. Yes, I did say earlier, that I only need one alive which could be the archer but that doesn't mean letting one live is not an option but...she can be useful.
Won't it be strange if an child were to walk around by himself? So, what if I use the strings to manipulate her and control the girl to do that one task, which will make life so much easier. The girl was the most hesitate of the three to attack my wolves so, this is the best option I could give her.
I attacked the big guy first as he was the one that's going in for the attack, as I hung the guy by the neck with a throw of my string and pulled him towards me. You might ask how such a small body such as mine is able to pull someone three times larger than me in height, but if you had been living under a rock the whole time, then I had mention before that I can break tree what does that tell you?
Also, the kind of string that I am using is not the super sharp kind that will probably slice his head off but a more kinder version I had made. Well, kinder shouldn't be used in such context because they are going to be choking for a bit unlike my instant kill sharpen one, since I don't want to spill blood on my hair or tuxedo.
I made an sinister smile, as the two right besides him jump back, one of them being the girl and the other person being a guy in some sort of easy to move in fast clothes. When I saw the girl's face I couldn't put my finger on who she might be but it seemed so familiar that I almost stop choking the guy to put my finger on my chin.
She was a complete beauty that is unmatched in appearance as only Kari can compete in such an competition as the girl's red hair swayed in the wind. Her hair wasn't the only thing impressive as the armor looked like it was crafted from a master with its smooth surface.
Another thing I notice, is how sharp her sword is compared to everyone else but I had already made my prediction on how this will turn out which will be an 70-30 in my favor. Also, the reasoning for giving them such a large chance is because of the weapon the miss is holding as it might be able to cut through my sharpen string but not my main one.
I didn't pull it out this time but I have it secretly prepared under my sleeve just in case of emergencies that would happen. After all, being too dependent on this weapon might be my downfall in the later years that would follow up on me. I finish choking the big armored guy off as I look at the other two who seemed to be put into a defensive position.
I'm pretty sure the big guy is finish or at least unconscious so I can finish him off later when I kill the thief guy and capture the red headed girl. I still have plenty of things to do to the big guy before I'm satisfied with the results of my intervention into this matter of wolf killing.
This wasn't the first time I felt like torturing someone to death before as a group of people had killed...someone...really...important? Who was it again!? The person name...what was it again!?! I completely forgot whoever it was, maybe the person wasn't important, then why am I so frustrated!?
Whatever! The past won't make a difference to what happens today, so I shall care later about my past memory another time! I said as my eyes gone completely shut as I face the two people who were staring at me with an careful gaze, while the red head open up her mouths.
"Hey! Why are you fighting us?!"
The headache soon hit my head again before I shook it off like it was some sort of cold that I would get. Maybe she is the one giving me it? Tsk, no matter if I just finish off this fight without any problems, I can worry about everything else later and I will be fine. Giving her an answer should be fine, since she is going to become my mind control puppet to further my plans. Damnit! That fucking headache hits me again!
"I'll tell you after the three of you are on your death bed."
I don't usually taunt people but this one occasion will suffice because I need to get my mind into the right direction before the headache strikes me again. I started spreading my strings not the deadly ones but the sticky ones to encase my opponent and buy some time for myself. Why I say buy time, well I can always try and slash at my opponents with my original string but as I said earlier if I needless become too dependent I will not learn anything.
So, I continue to watch them as I pull out my much sharper invisible string weapon and gotten ready to strike. I saw the the assassin guy throw some sort of smoke screen that lit the webs like the fireworks in the sky. I took notice of that earlier but I didn't think he would see them at all, as the red haired girl sliced through the strings, now the real fight begins.
*Red head*
How did I know Garmen would cause trouble for the rest of the small party of adventures. He's been a little too greedy as of lately and been hogging a lot of the money but we kept silent about it since he was our tank and leader. I grind my teeth as he order Selena to fire the arrows at what seemed to be twin wolves that were hunting.
We are inside the forest of Laniroa and had been here to find a rare breed of flame bears that usually don't show up in winter as they hibernate around that time. They come out towards the summer, so why decided to hunt them for today, even though they are powerful creatures.
This place is reserve for high level adventurers that are capable of killing high ranking monsters, animals, and other things around there. Now, what we are hunting is a grade A beast that is capable of mowing down a whole squadron of knights is something that is on our list of creatures to kill.

I knew this would be a dangerous task without an water mage but with Kenith water grenades we can be the fire elemental bear. I said to widen up my mood from the despicable leader that we came to have, even though he was greedy and big he was an cunning person when it came to knowledge about the world.
He learned everything that was needed to be for an adventurer to learn about the world and was quite knowledgeable, that was how he even brought us together on the first place. If not for these facts alone we would of entirely abandoned him right off the bat and found ourselves a new leader.
In my opinion, we still should kick him out but I have to hold it down until we are finished with the red bear mission. We hunted around and found no evidence of an bear in the area and almost gave up until that greedy eye bastard saw two emerald wolves as they hunt a deer down.
They were still in their pup stage where they are able to hunt which had seriously make me feel unmotivated to hurt them. But as the leader says we will hunt them because they are a rare variant of wolves that have extremely strong pelts that are able to deflect arrows but the weakness to them is their feet also they are good at sensing so we put an anti-detection skill of Kenith by throwing off their sense.
We had moved in to finish the job but Garmen was the one that wanted to take things slowly and finish the wolves slowly. At that point, I was about to bash him on the head but something grabbed on to his neck and pulled him backwards. We looked behind us as an boy with long black hair and horns, with long ears and purple eyes stare at us. I don't know what race he might be, but he seems like a mix between the elves and an demon which creates quite the handsome child.
He also had an very good tailored clothes that were black and fit more so the nobles clothing style. He was absolutely gorgeous in every way possible and had made completely charmed by his looks but I shook my head as I focus my attention on the foe ahead of me.
Garmen was choked and left on the floor as the boy approached us with an string but I can tell that string isn't something that should be underestimated. But I see him switch out to a different string before looking at us. I told him why he is attacking us and only said
"I'll tell you after the three of you are on your death bed."
Seeing as he isn't going to let us go very easily, I see Kenith make a gesture to not move from position as he throws a smoke screen on the ground and highlight strings that almost caught me. I look at them cut them apart as I stare at the boy with a dangerous piece of string in his hands, as he approaches me with confidence at ever move he is making.
I don't charge because I'm worried that an piece of string will suddenly get attached to me and ruin my sense of balance or stance or worse. Kenith uses his speed and throws multiple bomb like things at the hybrid of what seems to be an demon and an elf. They explode in mid air and spread small pieces of shrapnel all over the place but more at a good distance away from me.
And then I saw an barrier of string protecting him from any of our attacks, I saw this and contemplated did this kid just prepare for anything we are about to do!?! Or does he always set up a barrier to protect himself, I can't tell but he is really limiting what kind of options we can perform at the moment.
We are fighting a troublesome opponent like him, is going to be such a pain because I have to keep an good look out for any dangerous wires placed around. I inched my way around the battlefield as, Kenith throw smoke bombs and all sorts of stuff at the child but something has me worried, where is Selena?
Did something happen? I thought worriedly as I guessed the best option for her is that she might of ran away. What can I do? If I just swing my sword without no aim and get some strings, he might just cut me off there so what can I do with Kenith's help? When Kenith throws another smoke bomb and clears out the way, I will rush in and slash against his strings but how do I know he hasn't been prepared for that?
Right now, he is controlling our movement and won't let us slip through his defenses. Kenith keeps throwing small grenade every given opportunity, to get even deeper into his defenses but we don't have unlimited smoke grenades so we have to be careful. It feels like we are an fly caught on to the trap of a spider getting ready to pounce on us as the boy starts walking towards us.
The amount of trap strings increase ten-fold as he approaches, with the smoke screen showing us the string that surround us at this very moment. How is he able to setup these strings without us even seeing it at all!? I contemplated but continued to think of every possibility that we have right now.
He probably won't let us leave here alive and will have us sitting here dead, so we got to do something that would be unpredictable. I said to myself and at Kenith with my fingers to get ready as I go into a stance with both of my hands on the sword as my eyes meet the boy head on.
His web had already limited our movement and the only way for us to escape or defeat him is threw unpredictability. I made my decision and charged at my sword as adrenaline had influence my mind to the utmost power as I observed my surrounding carefully and saw the boy's hand slightly move.
I see, the boy had a piece of string in his hand as it moves like a puppeteer moving its marionette in the perfect position without the strings being seen. Only the puppeteer knows when it is moving, I said to myself and finally found out how he is controlling all these string.
He probably seen how many smokes we have used and tried to move it in a way to both trap us and waste the bombs. If we had kept throwing our bombs we would have no way to sense the strings slowly coming towards us. I analyze the situation and slice my sword down just where the string connect to the others is connected.
I see small particles of dust brew up as strings fall down and a tsk comes from the boy's mouth as he realizes what I did. He kept his composure and didn't fringe as he pulls something akin to the strings earlier but this one was different as it shined like the stars in the sky.
And instead of controlling our movement this time, he looked at us and moved at super fast speeds as his small body seem to clash against me. Damnit! He switched up his strategy to a more aggressive one, throwing me completely off my guard and had knocked me to the ground.
What is this string made out of!?! The sword I'm using is forged out adamantine made from one of the best smiths out there!?! As I think of this Kenith tried to help but he suddenly stops as his body stops moving and the boy and me look at each other in the eyes. His eyes twitched for some reason as he suddenly interrupt my thoughts with a few words.
"Who are you."
