The three girls went to the party, which was held in a field near a pond on the outskirts of town. The field belonged to Eliot Ron, captain of the basketball team. On the court, Eliot was arrogant, always provoking his opponents, but off it, he was a nice guy. Tall, almost six feet, and muscular, he was proud of his mixed-race origins. The town of Willow Creek had few people of foreign origin, but they were welcomed, especially if they excelled in fields like sports.
Eli got along well with him. Eliot had dated Julia for a while, but their relationship had quickly ended. At the party, almost all the young people from Willow Creek High School were present, over 200 in all. Fortunately, there was plenty of room in the huge field.
The girls arrived around 8 p.m. and were greeted by an already dense crowd. After greeting their acquaintances, they went to say hello to Eliot. Then they each took a drink and headed for the pond, where a DJ was mixing music. Many people were already dancing.
"Isn't that Page over there? With Taylor?" asked Eli.
"Yes, it is! Shall we say hello to them?" suggested Julia.
All three girls exclaimed at the same time as they saw Page and Taylor kissing. Page then began to dance sensuously with Taylor.
"Did you know those two were dating, Alicia?" questioned Julia.
"Uh, no, I didn't," Alicia replied.
"Are you jealous that your childhood friend is dancing with one of your friends?" asked Jo, who had just arrived.
"Jo!" exclaimed Eli, rushing over to give him a big hug. Jo was Elisabeth's best friend and also a friend of Leon. He was a tall boy with bushy hair, thick eyebrows and a square jaw adorned with the beginnings of a beard. A biker and covered in tattoos, he looked almost thirty, even though he was the same age as them.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
Jo greeted Alicia and Julia with a nod and a smile, making them blush instantly. With his tattoos and leather jacket, he exuded an air of mystery that made him irresistible to the girls at school, even if few really dared approach him. The only one who really knew him was Eli. When Jo ate with the three girls, Alicia and Julia became silent, which amused Eli greatly. She often took the opportunity to tease them, relishing this rare chance to get back at them gently.
"What are you doing here?" inquired Eli, "Aren't you with my brother?"
"Yes, I was, but I wanted to stop by and see if the party was fun and say hello. You had a great day with your brother, didn't you?" replied Jo with a wink.
Alicia and Julia burst out laughing while Eli blushed.
"Who knows?" she sighed.
"Obviously a lot of people," Julia giggled.
"Your brother was intrigued to find out who could mess with his little sister. I thought he was going to ask us to investigate," Jo added with a laugh.
"Seriously, Jo?" asked Eli.
"No, I'm just kidding. Although, with your brother, you never know."
Eli squinted, thinking about all the news of the day: this mysterious stranger, Alicia and Julia kissing her... and especially the fact that she'd enjoyed those kisses. The three girls had often showered together in the locker room or shared a bathroom while getting ready, and seeing each other naked had never bothered them. But kissing... that was different, and Eli didn't know what to think.
"What are you thinking?" asked Page, coming up to their level.
"Oh, Page, how are you?" replied Eli.
"Obviously fine," teased Julia.
"Oh, you've heard, then?" asked Page.
"We could hardly miss you," replied Alicia.
"And to answer your question, Page, Eli was thinking about a boy she saw," Julia added.
"Or the fact that we kissed her," Alicia said with a smile.
"You two, stop it!" sighed Eli.
"Interesting, interesting," laughed Page. "I was wondering when one of you was going to do it to mess with Eli."
Looking for support, Eli looked at Jo, who winked at him before leaving. After she left, the four girls spent a moment chatting. Taylor and Eliot joined them, and finally, all together, they poured themselves some more drinks and started dancing to the music.
