Chapter 3 my first day as a tree part 2

The first thing I did after checking my status was to activate [Leaf Generator] and set it to passively collect mana throughout the day.

Then I decided next thing I had to do before anything else was to get my bearings. As a dungeon I can see everything inside my hollow tree but the outside world is a mystery as for myself as a tree. Well trees are not known for their perfect sight. I can feel the moisture and soil on my roots and the wind as it blows past every single one of my leaves and know direction to tilt my leaves to best catch the light of the sun but as far as sight go's the best I can do is tell the difference between light and shadow.

I decided this was the first problem I needed to solve. After a good hours thought I have decided to sacrifice one of my leaves for this purpose since they seem to be the part of me that is best at sensing light. I used the skill [Create Monster Core] to create small sphere about quarter inch in diameter which I then embedded into one of my leaves willing it to take on my desired changes focusing the light sensitive cells in the leaf into a working eye all and all this took around a thousand mana points to create.

CONGRATULATIONS

The [Golden Eyed Leaf] looks like a regular golden oak leaf. that is until it opens its eye. When it does it looks like a giant eye in the shape of oak leaf with a golden iris.

I used [Root Network] to connect to my new eye and it worked I can see. Although it seems I can’t share mana because it is not counted as one of my one subordinate trees. I quickly spawned 50 of them and spread them throughout my leaves. They don’t seem to interfere with my mana collection.

Now that I can finally see I took a look around. All around me hilly grass land stretches as far as the eye can see. To the northeast a river runs southeast to northwest. My tree stands at the top the center most and tallest of five great hills. Each the four surrounding hills lie in a different cardinal direction from the center hill. Now that I have confirmed that there is no threat in my immediate surroundings I begin to test my skills. The first skill I tested was [Create Seed] to begin my [Mana Oak] farm. However the first [Golden Acorn] fell from my branches and landed right next to me and I realized that I could not have all 30 trees next to me hampering my growth. So remembering their mobility I created a [Seed Sprite] it looked like a one inch tall upside down acorn with twig like arms and legs. I then created a new [Golden Acorn] charged to become a [Mana Oak] and ordered the [Seed Sprite] to carry it some distance away and plant it. Finding a suitable method to spread my seeds I created an additional thirty [Seed Sprites] and had them plant [Mana Oaks] all though out the five hills. I then had the [Seed Sprites] spread [Vine traps] and [Sleeping Mushrooms] all through the five hills, the [Lesser Trent] I had planted only around my central hill. The [Vine Trap] upon being planted burrowed into the ground. The [Sleeping Mushrooms] were mushrooms with a blue head and white base. The [Lesser Trent] looks like a small four foot tall tree, it uses two branches as arms to attack. On the side of the tree is a face with glowing slits for eyes and jagged pieces of bark for teeth. I then used [Create Block] to create stones for the [Lesser Trent] to hurl at my enemy’s. And now that I have tested the skills I am willing to test and spent a good amount of mana I think it is time I rest if I even can with this body.
