Prologue

 Rage filled those eyes.

The eyes of the one who I thought to be my friend.

 No.

If I was given the chance to correct it then I will say that it was the eyes of the one who once I thought to be my friend.

Why did I thought something like this?

 The reason was simple.

The sounds of wind is filling my ear.

That sounds was not created by a strong gust.

But created by the friction of air and my body as I falling down back to the earth after getting pushed from five-story building, head first. I could already understand that no matter what I do in this state, I will face my untimely death.

I want to laugh, but this is no laughing matter.

I want to scream, but my throat suddenly feels dry.

Then, a single drop of teardrop falling away from my eyes, even just for a split second I could see it tear away from my eyes.

 That’s right.

 I’m crying.

Not a loud cry that will get everyone attention, but I only let a single tear dropping.

‘Ah, so this is what a betrayal feels like.’

I ponder to myself as I face my end by getting smacked to the ground, head first, then turned into a splatter of blood and viscera.

I, Adonia Rheno, are meeting his demise.

---***---

“Hello?”

 I heard that voice.

 A girlish voice.

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

A voice that I suppose to be shouldn’t be able to hear after falling from that kind of height.

I never consider the chance that I will survive.

 But….

It’s kind of weird, if I do survive then did I right now lying on the top of a hospital bed?

No, I couldn’t quite get the feeling that I right now lie down, especially on top of a hospital bed.

 “Hello~?”

That voice again, I could heard it more clearly and louder than before.

 What is happening?

Right now… I need to try to open my eyes, and… assess my situation.

 That’s what I do.

Slowly, I open up both of my eyes and bright light filled my vision, it blinded me for few seconds but I was able to quickly adapt and recover from it.

What awaits my eyes was not the ceiling of hospital that I use to see when I was need to do some check up from time to time when I was still a sickly brat back in the days of my elementary school, but what awaits me was a scenery of pure white sky.

How should I put it, I am not really good with using metaphor but I could say that these sky that was spread across my line of vision is just like a sheet of paper.

 White.

 A complete white.

Without any single spots or dots on it.

 And then….

“Ah, I see that you are already awake now.”

 “Huh?”

I am pretty sure that right now I made quite a stupid looking face.

Just as I try to roll my eyes, suddenly a girl show up.

A girl clad in same color as the sky that I just seen.

 White.

“Fuuh, I am glad that you are okay.”

 “Uhm….”

I couldn’t quite understand what is currently happening to me.

“I have a good news and bad news for you, which one you want to hear first?”

 “A good and bad news?”

 “That’s right.”

The girl in white nod her head while putting of quite an elegance smile on me, man that sure caught me off guard but that wasn’t the time for it, even though yeah she is indeed quite cute.

Of course, I want to know what is happening so I might be asking about what is these news she want to say to me.

Maybe that will clear some things up on my mind.

 “The good news please.”

“Congratulations for gaining your memories back, Xia Yu.”

 “Huh?”

 Xia Yu?

 Who is that?
