Prologue.

Note: His view of everything is warped, he has Derealisation disorder, those with that disorder perceive the world as a novel and feels like he's a reader, or someone amongst the audience appreciating a new movie, he isn't fazed and never questions, it's like how you don't question why a main character is in a dystopian future, he/she is just in there because the author willed it to be. For more clarity, you can always Google the disorder. I have manipulated bits and pieces of the disorder to fit the story, by the way.

---------------------------------

My mother has been an actress for as Long as I could remember, I would gaze at her beautiful self as she took on another personality in front of the cameras in the morning and watch her shows at night.

I saw her do all sorts of things in those shows, in the early portion of her acting career, she would play characters with little significance in the plot, and as she portrayed a corpse perfectly with her large unblinking eyes, she easily tore into hearts of the audience as she slowly rose to fame.

Her looks played a large factor too, luscious brown locks tumbled down her shoulders gracefully, soft doe eyes that seemed to be able to look into your soul and a long elegant nose, it was a no wonder my father, a young heir to a large corporation fell in love with her instantly, despite his married status.

In the past, my heart would thump seeing her 'deaths' in the different roles she starred in, now, seeing her die on-screen was perfectly normal, after all, all she was doing was playing a role.

So right now, the her who pushed me away from the car speeding our way did not seem real, it was as if I'm watching this scene from a tragic filled drama, I stared at her, thinking how wonderfully she played her role, it was as if those tears were real and the fearful expression was really distorting her face.

"Dominic......I..I love you!" She screamed before the car collided with her, causing her body to fly quite a distance.

This scene seemed so surreal, and at that moment, I could only wonder about how the production cast pulled this off as she flew to the road, vulnerable to all the other cars.

Her blood that covered my face also seemed real, I thought as my tongue tasted the seemingly real blood.

"Kid! Are you okay?" A guy called out as he picked me up, carrying me to the pedestrian road while covering my eyes.

Why was he doing that? I want to watch mother play out her role, why would he shield my eyes from her perfect acting?

As I thought to myself, a elderly lady embraced me, softly whispering the words "It's alright now." to me.

My chin rested on her shoulder, her thick arms that entangled me refused to let go, despite my struggling.

"What are you doing?" I asked, my eyes looked straight at the gathering crowd, "I want to watch mother act, let go of me." I spoke.

Surely, they must know of mother, the wondrous actor that was adored by everyone, so why are they looking on with such horror filled expression? Do they not know it was all an act?

Finally escaping that woman's embrace, I walked closer to mother, but not close enough to disturb the camera man and his recording.

Pulling on the shirt of a guy that was close to her, I asked, "When will mother be done acting? I'm hungry."

On set, I would always ask a crew member like this when I'm hungry, so as to gauge when I would be able to eat, and if I were very hungry, mother would show her appreciation of my patience through rewarding me with a meal I liked.

Already thinking of the food I wished to eat, a smile appeared on my face.

Though, for some reason, that man took a step back hesitantly.

Before I could speak again, the familiar blaring of the ambulance attracted both mine and the crowd's attention, our heads turned to glance at the red vehicle.

In an instant, paramedics jumped off and ran towards mother, checking her vitals and injuries, their professional calm expressions never leaving their faces.

That man ran over to one of them, pointing at me as he spoke to them urgently, nodding occasionally. The paramedic he spoke to then ran over to me, looking at me with slight worry.

"Are you alright?" He had asked.

Am I also included in this show? But I am no actor.

"I'm hungry....When will mother be done?" I asked rather hesitantly, I did not know if I were included in this show or what I was supposed to say, I could only ask about when it will be over.

With a hesitant face, he then asked, "What's your name?"

"Donimic." I replied with a smile, mother had taught me to always be amicable to strangers so as to leave a good impression.

However at that moment, conversations broke out from the crowd beside me.

"How is that child still smiling at this moment....Is that woman not his mom?"

"It's a devil child for sure, the mother must be heartbroken."

My head slightly turned to look at them, curious about their conversation, though none of them glanced my way.

I asked with yet another smile, undeterred by their expression, "When will my Mother be done?"

--------------------------

After that incident, My Father who refused to take custody of me sent me to an orphanage where I lived to an age of 15 before finally escaping this fake reality.

The character I played met the same demise as Mother's, oh the irony, and as I lay on the hard road, I whispered soft words of goodbye before darkness enveloped me.

I was finally going to meet Mother.

However without even a second passing, blinding light attacked my vision and my arms moved to cover it.

"Mother?" I call out hesitatingly.

Who I met was entirely different from Mother, as the light dimmed, all that was present was a ball of red light.

"What's this?" I ask, was I in another show again?

A deep, rich voice sounded from the ball, "You're interesting, aren't you?"

"You're not my Mother." I spoke with conviction, "My role has ended, I want to meet Mother."

"Oh, your Mother is Long gone, child." It replied, "I can give you a Mother if you so wish."

"A Mother? Will it be the same?" I ask, I missed the motherly love my Mother had showered on me.

"Certainly." It spoke, with slight happiness.

"Wonderful!" I exclaim, I was right, if I die I'll get to meet Mother.

"But before I send you off, promise me something, child." It asked, "Color my word, with that dark light of yours, it has been far too uninteresting for far too Long."

"Color? I don't like that, I just want to meet Mother." I spoke with a child like voice, the composed personally which I had acted out for that fake reality was gone.

My demands were unrelenting, childlike and stubborn, though the light did nothing but laugh, "A being like you…..Its my first time….hahaha! The perfect gift!"

"I'll send you off with my blessings, you have fun, Monster!"

I waved my hand with a big smile as my consciousness left me, a mercilessly unfaltering force calling for my depart.

Finally, the fake reality has ended.

------------------------

As that child disappeared, the ball of light bursts out laughing yet again as more ball of lights appeared around it, though lacking in terms of lustre.

"Master, why would you bring such a monstrosity into your world?" One of them politely asked with a trembling voice.

"It was a rare gift, wasn't it? I just had to use that thing! It would be injustice not to!" He bellowed, undaunted by the words of his servant.

"B-but…."

"Don't you worry now, if anything, I'd just create another world!" He laughed, knowing very well of what the consequences would be for bringing this child into his world.

"Master, please remember……that….thing…, was killed by Radque for a reason….." He spoke yet again before retreating.

"Blah blah, so what! I couldn't care less if this world ends! But before that, let's enjoy the show this thing will bring to us!"

------------------------

As I awoke again, I was in the arms of a woman, my lungs painfully tight, as if instinctively, I bursted into tears, my loud, sharp wails ending the silence around me.

The woman that held me happily looked down, "He's alright, ma'am! What shall you name this fine boy!" She exclaimed, presenting my tiny body to a woman.

A woman whose features I knew well.

Ignoring the strange awakening I had just gone through, I happily called out, "Mother!" Or at least I wanted to, all that sounded was a strange, incoherent garble.

And at that moment, I could only start to perceive the strange mysteries surrounding my awakening.

Ignoring my joy of meeting my Mother, I finally noticed a strange sight, I was in the arms of an abnormally large woman and was facing another abnormally large woman with features of my Mother.

My excitement was damped by a considerable amount as I understood, I was sent here to act another role, this wasn't the true reality I thirsted for.

Nevertheless, I must act out my role, eventually, Mother will come for me.
