Thell : “We're finally here God damn it this was exhausting.”

Mason : “ Could have been worse.”

Thell: “ How could it have been worse. We did nothing, not a single thing. there was nothing to do, it drove me absolutely insane.”

Mason : “ who could have been set on by Pirates or sea monsters or any number of things. Will probably need to stock up on games. Cuz I'd hate to see what a 6-month Journey does to you were literally banging your head against a wall at one point.”

Thell : “ That's fair though I'm glad it's finally done. Now let's get this over with. We need to Fan out and search the island for anything.”

Anna: “Wait hu ho hu There's abnormally High Mana readings hu ho hu ho I ran all the way up here everyone be careful and you have to be in groups of five that's the rules for if an island has abnormally High Mana”

Thell: “Shit okay you heard Anna everybody groups of five no less make sure you stay safe.”

Crew: “yes captain”

Three hours later

Thell: nothing we've found, absolutely nothing. God damn it we will have to search ourselves. Anna get ready Mason go grab Arthur and sailor.”

Mason: “ Call the captain, I'll go grab them.”

Anna:”Do we really have to go looking ourselves.”

Thell :” yes we do you're the only one that can sense mana at a capacity to search for something radiating mana. ”

Anna :”ok”

Ten minutes later

Thell: “ all right guys we have to track down the source of the Mana. The crew couldn't find it so it must be somewhere hidden. So Anna is going to track it down and we are going to protect her, do you all understand?”

Crew: “yes captain.”

Thell:”Good anna Track down that magic.”

20 minutes later

Anna:” this is it it's all come from here that is weird and worrying should we go back. ”

Thell:”no and I can see how people missed it it's all coming from that small crack in the mountain”

Anna:” yep”

Thell :” well let's head in”

Arthur :” are you sure that's a good idea All of you could get hurt. ”

Thell: “well we have to find out what's causing the mana so we have to do it”

Arthur :”Ok stay behind me I'll protect you.”

They walk into the cave to see opens up into a lush room. Filled with bushes, Vines ferns and all manner of plant life. Stalactites and stalagmites litter the ceiling and floor; the mana is dense. There's a path leading out of the room glowing Moss litters the ceiling creating light. On the biggest stalagmite a body is impaled skeletal no flesh remains on its bones. As its raggedy clothes cling to its frame a satchel closed but not destroyed is the most notable part of the body.

Thell:”well fuck Everybody in formation. Arthur tanking Duty I'll be on damage, sailor cover our rear and provide range support. Anna, you stay in the center and do Mage things.”

Arthur,Anna, Sailor :” yes captain”

A rat suddenly jumps out at Anna Thell Then skewers the rat with her Rapier.

Thell :” remember be careful let's move forward.”

they all work for it towards the skeleton but no rats jump out at them. they get to the bag on the skeleton and inside they find 20 old copper coins and a ripped note from a journal.

the note reads.

We have found a Cave opening in the side of the mountain it is overflowing with mana we believe that it is a dungeon pretending to be a cave system we first encountered some rats then some bats in the passage ahead we decided to double back and set up camp we are planning to explore the Dungeon and claim it

Thell:”Well fuck it's a story dungeon the most annoying but Very lucrative.”

Sailor: “ What's a story dungeon?”

Thell :” they are dungeons that have stories Incorporated into their floors.they often come with good loot if you solve things a certain way or even if you create interesting stories that no one has done before. and then their are the Lore dungeons they have an ongoing story through all the floors ”

sailor:” I see that makes sense. ”

Thell:” they also often create secret places where the story is told so keep an eye out for hidden rooms.”

Anna sailor Arthur:”got it. ”

Oliver

“wellI got some pretty interesting delvers. Plus I got some good information. I think I'm going to be a mix of story and the lore dungeon. At the end of the starting story I'm going to have it open up into a town. With a bunch of floors jutting out of it and you have to complete all of them to get down to the next town. That'll be fun,now let's watch them.”

Oliver continues to watch them as they go through the dungeon. Taking on the Monsters with relative ease. They are disappointed that they don't drop coins but Oliver is saving that for the later floors. And doesn't want to break the economy. They finally turn around and head back once they exit the dungeon it immediately resets.

“ You know what, I'm going to add something to tell them when the dungeon floor resets.”

On the ground in front of the dungeon is a simple green go and a red stop. With the one that is active slightly glowing to indicate it.

“Let's get to work on the next floor.”
