Chapter 18 - Getting back!

***The Infernal Plane of Lust***

***Isabella***

“♫I have got myself a dude♪

“♫A very tasty dude♪

“♫With muscles and a big, long-”

“Isabella!”

Mother's strict voice made me wince and I stopped my little happy-song upon landing in my home's courtyard after a night of the best sex I ever had. It’s not every day that a succubus gets to digest a rare immortal soul. Amon had passed out after the first hour, but there are ways to prolong a guy's sturdiness and he was such a good fit.

The delegation and my sisters were already gone. Only a few male demons were in the process of cleaning up the mess in and around the castle.

I didn't remember us ever having that many servants, so I simply assumed that my family caught some of the survivors of the rift-event.

Ashley Ashborn was waiting for me in the middle of the courtyard with her arms crossed and a fiery expression that would melt the mind of any man in an instant. She didn't say a word and only glared at me; neither did she need to speak for me to know what was wrong.

I lowered my head and kneeled down in front of her. “I am sorry! But there was this dude who looked really tasty and I...”

“Stop!” Ashley’s voice made the entire courtyard freeze – which meant me, including the working demons.

“Not you! Clean up the mess you caused!” she addressed the males and work continued.

Then she turned on me again, “Do you have any idea how hard it was to have the envoy accept the status quo with you just running off like that!? He was a mind manipulator! It took me the entire night to twist him enough for him to walk off with the feeling of having accomplished his goal. I understand that Jada lost it, she is impulsive. But not you. I know that you don't want any of this. The rest of the family doesn't either, and I am giving my best to delay Khorne in the hope that he gets himself killed somehow. Didn't you notice that ten of us were gone for the last two weeks to facilitate the alliance between Khorne's enemies? But you behaving like a stupid child is not helping!”

“I know,” I replied, not looking up. Indeed, I even felt a little bad about running out on her like that. But just a little.

Ashley sighed. “Did you get yourself a good one at least?”

I crooned. “Oh, he was perfect. I didn't even have to shapeshift for him to hit all the right spots!”

She narrowed her eyes. “And where is he? I know you, you would never let someone like that go.”

“Aw...” I put on my saddest expression possible, still looking down. “He kind of… expired.” Losing consciousness is almost like expiring, isn't it?

A few terrible moments passed, and I already thought that Ashley had somehow caught my little half-truth. But then she shrugged. “You are still under house-arrest for making it hard on the rest of us.”

“What!?” I gasped. “No! Do you have any idea what's going on outside the castle? There has never been that much activity! Some warbands are trying to round up the survivors and press them into service. You can't shut me in at a time like this! How long?”

“A month! I can and I will, just like I did with Jada. It's dangerous out there. Leave the castle again, and you have to face real consequences!” Ashley turned and took off, not bothering to take the main entrance to the castle. Instead, she flew directly up towards the central tower where her private quarters were located.

I mewled and got to my feet, wondering how I could help Amon to become the strongest Demon Lord ever if I wasn't able to see him! If my genius plan was supposed to work, then the little demonling who I had almost used as a dildo would have to become strong enough to beat Khorne. It was a sad thing that he was now too large for a little special fun, but maybe I could convince him to learn body transfiguration.

Caught up in my thoughts, and drooling a little, I entered the castle's greeting hall through the main entrance where I found Jada together with the rest of the triplets... and a monster. Well, it wasn't so much a monster, as a really huge imp. A demon who, despite his size, looked trapped even though he was twice the size of the two succubi who were fighting over him.

Danielle was seemingly oblivious to the spectacle, with all her attention focused on a lewd fresco which she was working on in the hallway that was leading deeper into the castle.

“You can't have him!” Jada hissed while she was wrapped around the male's leg. “I have never found someone so big and strong!”

Claire purred while pulling on the large demon's arm. “But Ashley banned you from having sex for a month, so you couldn't enjoy him anyways. And if I don't get him, one of the others would. His evolution can only be found in Gluttony, but I promise to get you another one once your forced celibacy is over.”

The brute in their midst didn't move, not allowing himself to be pulled in either direction, but he was sweating buckets. “Ladies... too big anyway... can I go now?”

“Oh, don't worry!” Jada said with a hushed voice and stroked the inside of his thigh as if it was a particularly tasty piece of meat. “I can shapeshift to accommodate all of you. Promise!”

The large demon frowned, clearly uneasy about what 'all of him' meant.

“No, thanks.” Somehow, the brute managed to ignore the sex-magic that was being woven around him and placed a hand as big as Jada's head on her face, trying to push her away from his leg. But my needy sister wasn't a pushover and stuck to him like chewing gum on the sole of a foot. There was no way of dislodging her.

“I have to find Amon and the others...” The huge demon kept trying nonetheless.

The name made me pay more attention to the latest victim of Jada's affection, so I stepped closer to the fighting trio. “You know Amon?”

The demon nodded with a troubled expression. “Shax, I am... one of his.”

“Not you too, Isabella,” Jada groaned. “Shaxy is mine, mine, mine alone!”

I pursed my lips, unsure of what to do. Once Jada had selected the victim of her obsession, there was no chance of her letting go. She was like a rabid chihuahua whose jaws were locked once they closed around a finger. The huge demon, Shax, would certainly set a new record in life-time terms for Jada's boyfriends, just because of the punishment, but he would expire at some point once my sister's ban was over.

Would Amon hate me if he ever found out? Did he care for Shax?

I would have at least try to help.

“Why don't you get him out of the castle and back to his people,” I suggested to Jada. “I assume that he would be safer with them than in here with the rest of us. No matter how resilient he is, staying for a lengthy period of time in a castle with the fourty-two of us will twist his brain sooner or later. And it isn't like you wouldn't be able to find him again once the month is over.”

Jada looked puzzled as she thought about it. “You know his leader? Would you be able to find him? I won't send my poor Shaxy-baby out there just to be gang pressed into the next warband he comes across.”

Blinking, I saw the opportunity that had presented itself. Now it was just a question of playing this the right way.

“Of, course!” I smiled and allowed my expression to fall a moment later. “There is only one problem.”

“Which is?” Jada asked.

“Mom had me grounded. I assume you are the same?” I asked.

Jada shook her head. “That was evil of mother. She only forbade me from having sex, although it might be debatable what's worse. No fucking for a month or no leaving the castle. Hmmm.”

I said nothing and just hoped that Jada would figure out something on her own, leaving me without the need to pay back some favour.

A moment later, Jada's head swivelled towards Claire who was still holding onto Shax's hand and stroking it like it was something precious. “Claire, I invoke the sisterly law! You have to help me out with this.”

“Oh, no,” Claire whined. “I don't want to!”

“A favour with a sister is holy,” Danielle called from the hallway. “And Jada has four good on you to my latest count.”

Claire stomped her foot and let go of Shax. “What do you want?”

Jada got to her feet but kept holding onto Shax's little finger. “You have to play Isabella for a few days until we are back.”

“Play me?” I looked towards Jada.

“But I don't want to be the youngest in the family,” Claire gasped. “Do you have any idea how hard it is to be ridiculed for everything you do? Just because you don't have millenia of experience?”

My throat bobbed. I never knew how well Claire understood me.

“And look at her!” She waved a hand at me. “All those emotions painted plainly over her face! If she hadn't kowtowed and looked down while lying to Mom, Ashley would have known right away that something is up. Isa is a mess of emotions and goodness, even if she tries her best to be mean.”

I blinked and rubbed my cheeks in an attempt to loosen my expression. “You saw!?” How was it possible that I couldn't hide anything from my family?

“We watched your return from the entrance, where mother couldn't see us,” Danielle called without looking up from her work.

Jada petted my shoulder. “Don't worry, little sis. I am sure Mom knows anyway. She is just... giving you a chance to show that you have grown up. Whatever stupid plan you might be brewing now in that brain of yours. A few decades of smarts can't compete with centuries of experience. There is no point in fretting over it.”

I drew in a deep breath and silently thanked the Infernum for my screwed up family. Succubi were demons; we lied, we killed, and we betrayed, there was no way around that. But unlike others of our kind, we knew compassion. Even if that only meant to overlook another's actions while trying to protect your own butt from being penetrated. “Okay.”

“I am so going to get you back for this,” Claire complained once more to Jada before she looked at me, clearly studying me from head to toe.

And then she changed, her softer facial features flowing into my own more angular ones. She shortened, and her brown hair lengthened and darkened to black until it matched mine. Her hips widened just a little bit and her clothes changed. Moments later, she was a perfect copy of me.

I was shocked, to say the least. We succubi were shapeshifters, and we could take on whatever bombshell look we desired on a given day. But Claire hadn't just taken on my current looks, she had also matched her magical aura to fit mine. If I wasn't standing here and she there, even I wouldn't be able to tell the difference!

“You got the boobs wrong.” Jada pointed out. “Isa's are much jigglier. I can tell just from the way they are trying to spill out of her dress while yours hold as firm as two balls of iron.”

I looked down at myself and used a hand to cover the fact that my choice of clothes was a size too small for my current form.

“I am not going to copy Isa's bad choice of décolleté and I am not copying saggy ones,” Claire outright refused.

“They are not saggy!” I quickly defended myself. “There is a difference between saggy and natural! They are just a little more... bouncy, instead of blown up melons!” I also liked it better when a guy could sink his fingers into them when he got grabby. The firm ones just hurt when the partner gets rough.

“Be that as it may,” Claire sniffed. “I'll just tell Mom that I am trying something new. Now you.”

“Me?” I squeaked, certain that I wouldn't be able to copy Claire's skill.

“Yes, you,” she affirmed.

I concentrated and cast the spell with a firm picture of Claire's form in my mind. Once I was done, I could tell that she wasn't impressed.

She rolled her eyes. “Just don't get within fifty feet of Mom or she will know immediately. And remind me later to teach you. Your shape-shifting is passable, but the aura feels nothing like mine.”

“I guess it will work,” Jada admitted and took me by the upper arm. “Come on, my little bloodhound. Find me Shaxy-baby's friends. I won't even tell Mom that you lied to her about offing your loverboy.”

“Just how...? Oh, by the Infernum. Let's go.” I decided that I would just roll with it as long as my sisters didn't decide to torpedo my big plan.

I lead the way, taking the castle's side entrance instead of going back out through the courtyard where mother would be able to see us through the window. Jada followed with a hopeful Shax in tow.

The fact that Jada was wearing a fairly tame skirt only entered my mind now. Succubi either went for naked or alluring, and Jada’s current choice of clothing was neither of those. “Trying for a new look?”

Jada huffed while we walked and reached down to the hem of her skirt in order to flash me her underwear. What came to the light of day was a chastity belt so large that it reminded me of the baby diapers which the mortals used.

She dropped her skirt again. “Believe me, if mother had offered me to be grounded, I would have taken that anytime.”

“Yeah…” I didn’t know what to say. Being the youngest apparently got me away with a light punishment.

***Amon***

I finished it by cutting into the demon's throat deep enough to loosen the tongue which came out with a wet 'squelch' when I retrieved my hand. The corpse was of no value to me, so I allowed it to topple over, spilling its insides all over the ground.

That done, I turned to face my two companions and took a thoughtful bite of the tongue, trying to judge the taste and to compare it to others. No matter how much I looked, I still had yet to find something that could compare to the lizard-things which I had acquired a taste for.

When neither of the two appeared to be able to avert their eyes, I gestured for the tent. “Will you?”

Uphir finally managed to get a grip on himself. He drew a dagger and sliced the fabric open, creating a new entrance to slip inside. Philomena followed and I went last.

The inside of the tent was dark, so I cast a light spell, but not before making sure that I wouldn't alert the whole camp. I slightly adjusted the spell matrix for the normal Light Globe, dimming it and changing the color to a dark red that matched the campfire outside. Someone who was blinded by a fire's light wouldn't be able to notice the dim radiance of my spell.

“Light Globe,” I whispered and allowed the spell that I had adjusted according to my souls' knowledge spring into existence. A moment later, a dim light filled the tent, just as I had intended.

There were only four demons inside the tent.

Philomena immediately recognized Kitia who was gagged and bound with magical restraints like a mummy. Her captors hadn't left anything to chance, just like with the other three demons who shared Kitia's fate. One more female was strung next to her, and two males lay on the other side of the tent.

The large demoness went right for the one who she saw as her sister, if not in blood then in spirit, and removed the gag before pulling her into an upright position. She surprised me by producing an oversized wire-cutter from a necklace around her neck.

Did everyone in the Infernum have special jewellery except for me?

“Wait!” Uphir whispered to stop her. Then he summoned the two gas canisters from his ring and looked to me. “Ready to protect the tent?”

I sighed and dropped the rest of the tongue before I studied the fabric, the entrance, and the hole which we had cut. Then I threw out my mana, deciding that a weak but airtight barrier would have to suffice. I just hoped that the guard's initial reaction to a gas attack wouldn't be to assault the prisoner's tent with strategic class magic.

Once the blue shimmer of a thin blanket of mana covered the inside of the tent, I nodded to Uphir and he threw one gas canister out the front entrance, and the other through the hole in the back.

Philomena waited no second longer than necessary and was already cutting Kitia free when the silent hiss from the gas could be heard outside. It didn't take long for the guards to start coughing and for the first one to raise the alarm.

The large and equally strong demoness made quick work of Kitia's restraints while I kept the barrier up that prevented the gas from coming inside. She was already working on a second prisoner when someone stumbled into the tent, already turning the air stingy and pungent with the short moment of breaking my seal.

Uphir kicked the guy in the knee, which gave way with a crunch. The blinded and nauseated guard had no chance as he was laid low and brained a second later by Uphir's hoove.

Philomena was done with the second prisoner and working on the third when the camp awoke to the rallying call. Someone must have cast a spell because the tent's fabric suddenly began flapping furiously from the summoned breeze.

Uphir took a deep breath and covered his nose before stepping out through the front entrance. He ducked back inside only a moment later and laid flat on the ground. “Down!”

I had just enough time to duck before there was an explosion outside and several somethings punched little holes through the tent’s walls, one of them projecting a path right through where I just stood. “I guess that was the last grenade?” I asked, deciding not to make a fuss over the risky move since the spell that was dispersing our gas had stopped right afterwards.

He nodded, but Philomena was already done with the last prisoner and picked up Kitia who seemed out of it. We took a deep breath and dashed out the backside of the tent, followed by the other three and then all of us were running for our lives.

All of this had been pure improvisation, including the move of freeing the other prisoners. If they managed to get away, that was fine. But I supposed Philomena's intention was to create additional distractions.

Philomena was flying, carrying Kitia while Uphir and I followed on the ground below with the other prisoners who would either keep up or not. It wasn't our concern. We also had no interest in finding out what exactly was going on behind us and simply kept running until the night swallowed our group.
