A Cold (and miserable) open

"Compliments to Myself this is a well built dream" Henry said to no one, running a hand, paw?, talon?

Whatever the thing was the touch of the cool roughly eroded stone felt as real as any, and yet entirely foreign through the thickly padded limb.

"I realy thought of all the small things didn't I?" He said then, irritatedly shifting limbs he never had to relieve discomforts he never knew.

"And yet My dumb ass didn't think of a way to WAKE THE FUCK UP!" "cCRA-KTHUUMmm" the storm replied, the sky's thunderous voice vibrating in Henry's unfamiliar keel-bone, the noise tickling the skin of his crumpled soaked wings and the frills just behind his jaw.

An in inhuman sqwuak escaped him and that thing in his vision, his muzzle, turned from red to pale-green at the coming and passing of that frightful sound.

"The dream feels so real and yet some things just can't pick a color" he hissed glaring at the offending obstruction in his vision, while red quickly washed over it like a tide of blood.

" I'll wake up soon though, I... I'll wake up soon" his snout developed a streak of blue on top of its length. He arched his too long neck and pulled himself deeper into the small cave with little sucess.

Something always stuck out no matter how he sat, a wing, his neck and head, that obnoxious tail he found wraping itself around anything and everything in reach.

He sighed seating himself again, his left wing draped across the ground at the entrance getting tugged and pulled by the howling wind, and the rain pelted the webbing like it was an umbrella. The bruise on its wrist was gently soothed by the cold rain.

"Some silver lining" he thought, grumbling to himself. Henry Notgrass; cold, wet, hungry, far from home, growing progressively more irate, and cowering from the clouds in a space too small with a bulk too great smack in the middle of nowhere. His mind wandered the timeine again while he fidgeted with his newfound wing-thumbs, mulling over the events that led him to this miserable state, allthewhile the storm raged on, sheets of rain hissing with choreographed impacts, the trees were swaying and groaning while the fierce biting winds took leaves up and away.
