Ancient divine language

In the mountain valley, a gentle stream flows, surrounded by clusters of green shade. Hidden within the greenery lies a sect known as Arcanum Hall. Outside the sect, a group of young boys and girls, around fifteen or sixteen years of age, gather together, waiting for the entrance test of the Arcanum Hall Sect. Aiden Nightshade is among the crowd, curiously watching the people on the stage, where a glance at a certain diagram in the middle determines whether one is deemed qualified or not.

“A diagram drawn with divine script?”

Aiden Nightshade recalled what Elder Eron Grimwald of the Arcanum Hall Sect had said before, that the diagram was drawn using the language of the ancient deities.

With just one glance, those with high comprehension could gain insight, while those with poor comprehension would find nothing amiss.

However, Aiden Nightshade couldn’t understand how one could tell if there was any comprehension.

“Should be our turn soon, right?”

“Yes, it seems so. I’m a bit nervous!”

“Me too, so nervous. I wonder if I can pass!”

“If we can enter the Arcanum Hall Sect, the future is boundless!”

“But that ancient deity language is so difficult, I really don’t have much confidence!”

Young people from the Valerian Empire Dynasty were conversing in a foreign language nearby. Although Aiden Nightshade’s body had transversed worlds, he could understand them. The language of this world seemed to be imprinted in his mind, as if he were a native of this world, had it not been for the memories of his previous life. He was originally not from this world, like the countless others who had traveled through time and space from Earth.

“Valerian Empire Dynasty, Aiden Nightshade!”

Just then, a voice called out from above.

“It’s my turn!”

Hearing the call, Aiden Nightshade stood up and walked towards the stage.

Although unsure of his own comprehension abilities, having come to this otherworld, he felt compelled to give it a try.

“Wow, that person is quite handsome!”

“Indeed, his appearance is quite to my liking!”

“Pfft, he’s just a person from a low-level dynasty.”

“Exactly, he’s destined to have no fate with cultivation!”

At this moment, Aiden Nightshade’s appearance also caught the attention of a group of young girls, including some from high-level dynasties. They were full of admiration for Aiden Nightshade’s looks. However, they held no expectations for his comprehension abilities. Aiden Nightshade naturally didn’t pay attention to these comments, nor did he need to.

Upon reaching the stage, he casually looked at the diagram drawn in the so-called ancient divine language. It wasn’t until he clearly saw the words of the ancient divine language that Aiden Nightshade felt as if his intelligence was being ground into the earth.

“Absorb spiritual energy?”

Almost subconsciously, Aiden Nightshade read the ancient divine language written on the diagram. Instantly, Aiden Nightshade felt strange winds blowing from all directions, eventually all entering his body.

“This… You can understand the ancient divine language? That’s right, that was spiritual energy, and you’ve successfully absorbed it!” The middle-aged man beside Aiden Nightshade, an elder of the Arcanum Hall Sect and the person in charge of this test, Aiden Nightshade, was staring at Eron Grimwald with a shocked expression.

It seemed as if he was asking Aiden Nightshade, but also as if he was questioning himself. “Even the genius from twenty years ago could only comprehend one character, how could he possibly read out the ancient divine language without any guidance?” Aiden Nightshade’s mind was beyond shocked, completely astounded. The ancient divine language, for most cultivators, could only be recited with the guidance of their predecessors. Without sufficient talent, even if one heard it, they couldn’t replicate it. Let alone seeing the ancient divine language for the first time and being able to recite it completely. How strong must one’s comprehension be to achieve this? Aiden Nightshade was shocked, but so was Aiden Nightshade.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Is this what they call the ancient divine language? Isn’t this just Chinese? Moreover, it’s in Small Seal Script.

“Have you studied the ancient divine language before?”

Eron Grimwald asked Aiden Nightshade incredulously. How could anyone have such a terrifying level of comprehension?

“No!”

Aiden Nightshade shook his head. Naturally, he couldn’t let others know about his transmigration.

“No? This… you can understand it?”

Aiden Nightshade asked again.

“Of course, it’s quite simple!”

Aiden Nightshade nodded, not out of a desire to show off, but because in his previous life he had studied ancient scripts. He could easily recognize Small Seal Script and could even identify pictographs.

He could recognize every character.

“Why are they taking so long?”

“What’s the matter with that person?”

“Elder Aiden Nightshade seems to be extremely shocked!”

“What exactly happened?”

At this moment, several disciples of the Arcanum Hall Sect felt it was very strange and started discussing among themselves.

“What happened to that person from the low-level dynasty?”

“Is he cheating?”

“Cheating in the Arcanum Hall Sect? That’s probably courting death, haha!”

“Looking at Elder Eron Grimwald’s expression, it seems something’s off, he might get angry soon!”

There were also young people from other dynasties, some of them disdainfully discussing the situation. However, Elder Aiden Nightshade on the stage didn’t pay attention to the others; he was just staring at Aiden Nightshade, hesitating for a moment before speaking: “Next, I will say a phrase in the ancient deities’ language. Try to repeat it after me.”

Before Aiden Nightshade could agree, Elder Eron Grimwald had already slowly begun to speak, reciting a line in the ancient deities’ language.

As soon as his words ended, he slowly rose from the ground.

“Damn, can he really fly?”

At this moment, Aiden Nightshade also felt like cursing. He heard it clearly; it was truly in Chinese.

“Elder Eron Grimwald has flown up!”

“So powerful!”

“Is this the elder of the Arcanum Hall Sect?”

“I must learn this, too!”

The young people below, regardless of gender, were all thrilled to see Aiden Nightshade flying.

Only those who failed the test were feeling dejected.

“Try to repeat it!”

Elder Aiden Nightshade gently landed on the ground and said to Aiden Nightshade. Aiden Nightshade nodded and slowly opened his mouth: “Yufeng!”

The two characters, pronounced in Chinese. As his voice fell, Aiden Nightshade felt his body become light and he slowly left the ground.

“He’s flying?”

Eron Grimwald was somewhat excited. Who hasn’t fantasized about flying? And today, he really did fly. Compared to Aiden Nightshade’s excitement, Elder Aiden Nightshade was completely shocked. Elder Aiden Nightshade had only asked Aiden Nightshade to repeat the deity language, because even just repeating it was extremely difficult.

But he had not expected that Aiden Nightshade would actually… take flight.

“This child… his comprehension is terrifying, almost demonic… no, it is demonic. Heaven blesses our Arcanum Hall Sect!”

Elder Aiden Nightshade was both shocked and overjoyed. Shocked by Aiden Nightshade’s comprehension and talent, which had reached a demonic level.

Delighted because this demonic being had come to their Arcanum Hall Sect.

“How… how could he?”

“He can fly? Is he a cultivator?”

“Impossible! He’s clearly just a guy from a low-level dynasty!”

“How can this be? It absolutely can’t be!”

After a moment of silence below, voices of shock finally erupted. No one could believe what they were witnessing was real.

How could someone from a low-level dynasty possibly do this? What was even more shocking were the disciples of the Arcanum Hall Sect and the young people from various dynasties, who had never had such an experience and had no idea how difficult it was to fly with the wind.

That divine language, so difficult to recite, even some disciples who had been in the sect for a year couldn’t manage it!
