"I'm home?"
The words fell out of my mouth, and it continued to ring through the sky as if a mountain crashed down... Everyone clearly heard my spoken words as they all fell to their knees.
"Our Savior"
"Praise the heavens!"
"Will we make it through the coming winter?"
Peoples voices rang in my head, their souls seemed interconnected with mine, I could just tell what they were thinking. "The world of holt? Even though I've only just arrived, it feels as if I've lived here for the past ten years." The ambient voices quickly faded away when I lost my train of thought.
"Where am I exactly?" My radiant voice echoed through the entire city with just a slight breath of words. Everyone could hear my speech and the what seemed to be holy knight quickly spoke while keeping his face to the ground.
"My magnificence, you are located in the Kingdom of Moria, and the capital city of Dajan. Please, would you be so merciful to grace us with your name?"
"I'm Leon, a newly appointed god as you can tell, so tell me, Bruth... How can I help this fine city?"
My straight forward words left the crowd shocked, as did it left me. I just arrived not even ten minutes ago and I was already trying to alter the way their lives. Why?

My status just shot open giving me a somewhat detailed, introduction of what I am capable of. I began to elevate myself as if I've been capable of this my entire life. Further and further I rose into the sky carefully analyzing the city. A somewhat dry land, the city is guarded by a 25-meter wall sectioned off by circular stone watchtowers standing at the very least 50-meters. On the outside of the wall, run down buildings surrounded the perimeter each building seemed to be made of dried mud and thatch. Spinning in a 360 fashion, people located outside the walls stood skin and bone, in ragged clothes. People dragged crates, barrels, wagons to earn a pretty penny while they stench wafted into a near-visible gas. Dead bodies laid barren in the middle of the streets as if it were a normal occurrence, the people were dying. The soil picked up as if it were a dust-bowl, no water could be found for miles besides in the cities well which was nearly dried. I brought my eyes to the inside confines of the city, thousands of people stood gathered whispering amongst themselves. The inner city was lavish people wore clean clothes the homes held a gradient metallic color, the homes are reinforced with a sort of transmutation magic, how?
"Time for some changes..." My mind drifted to the sky, my mind thought of dark clouds swirling in from the horizon, quickly racing to their destination, the clouds would compress amongst themselves and darken the sky as if it were night, and the rain would then start. A downpour of unknown proportions, enough to refill the river and city reservoir.
"Come." My words rang through the sky, but nothing had come. My mana had dropped by 10,000 but nothing had appeared for at least ten minutes. A quick change occurred the mountains housed clouds that quickly rushed towards my direction, soon they arrived. The clouds swirled, scaring the frightened mortals, but soon shock filled their eyes. Rain began to pour, the rain feels so hard people had to take cover or else that would be bruised by the impact alone.
This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.
A small squadron of knights accompanied by a high-class carriage displayed itself as it made its way from what seemed to be a lavish castle that reached to the clouds. My personality, gave me no interest they can come to me if they wish to speak. I looked back at the dancing people, and the haggard people greedily gulp down mouthfuls of water.
I think I'm going to like this, the abilities to squash my foes, and help the weak, this is how my god should have been.
The royal carriage soon arrived at the central plaza, as an obese man accompanied by some lackluster jewelry but a stunning female, that stood a head shorter than the man, his beard nearly reached the ground he looked straight to me. I don't believe he was aware that I knew what he was thinking, but his words were clear as day "Thank you...".
His inside appearance did not match his outside. "GET TO WORK YOU LOUSY FUCKS, We finally have rain and you sit here and splash around? Quick, till the lands, fill the reservoir, clean the streets this rain won't last forever!" This man sounded as if he were a drill sergeant, but what had astounded me most of all, was how he stripped his shirt letting his meaty flaps lay barren to the people. He grabbed a hard bristled mop from someone's hands and began to sweep the dirtied road, letting the filth wash away with every stroke... This man was the king, greatly respected by the people, but despised by the nobility...
I would do more but the people seemed to enjoy the idea of working beside the king that gasped for air, because of how out of shape he was. To kill some time I delved into this man's past, and what I saw was quite interesting. A short summary would start when he was seven his common folk parents were murdered, before his eyes and a monster invasion overrun this city. He wished to keep the same events from repeating so he became a merchant, sold his wares for ten or so years and became exceedingly rich. by the time he became 23, he made it to the merchant council and bought noble rights, and soon attempted bringing peace among his fief. Much like a democracy kings were elected every 15 years, and without even applying for the role, all the common folk voted for the lad. soon he held all the power in the kingdom so far he has done everything possible to better the lands, but the kingdom was cursed by a neighboring god to remain in a drought like, state for the next 50 years... Until I came along.
The god was unhappy with the way the kingdom was ruled and wished to convert it to his ways, the people too stubborn would not listen, and in turn, were cursed. Drought soon plagued the lands, in turn bringing famine and disease. Before I knew it time flew, and soon night will plague the city. Floating to the king that laid drawn out on canvas as he watched the men work. Bags drew under the greasy man's eyes, while his wife stood beside him clenching her nose because of his body odor. As soon as the King, noticed my presence his body twirled out of the canvas and he fell to his knees. "Thank you, the great divine that has saved my city, I am forever in you're debt." His words were quiet as if a small child cried out in pure happiness.
"I have only done what should have been a long time ago, as you can tell I'm a newer deity otherwise I wouldn't be helping cities among the mortal plane now would I?" I, for the most part, had a general idea of the state affairs of this country, after watching his memories on repeat several times I had a general grasp of how the world worked, at least to this mans knowledge.
"A new god? in other words you have no true domain yet, and in order to do so you wish to win over followers correct?" I personally had different motives, I purely wished to help these people out of the kindness of my heart. This is a new life for me, I won't go down a monsters path once again.
"I..." Before I could finish my sentence the king threw himself further to the ground, looking up with a bright gleam in his eye. This sight was quite comical really, a greasy fat man with bags under his eyes looked as if he had enough energy to run the continent 6 times. "You have saved my kingdom, you have saved my people. I will follow you to the ends of oblivion and back if you so wished of me." Soon the common folk followed, thousands of men and women that were made of entirely skin and bone fell to the ground. Every person spoke in unison.
"YOU HAVE OUR FAITH!" the shouts rang out through the night sky. Their old god was slain, thousands of years ago still re-gathering himself from nothingness. They needed a new god to pull them from the depths of hell.

Some of my health and mana increased along with my divine ranking, as well as followers and faith. I have also earned an interesting ability if I do say so myself, but it seems I won't be capable of utilizing its full capability for quite a while. I think I've gotten quite a good start. Let's see what else I can do later.
