There was once a cd with several songs on it. It’s owner didn’t use it much. His son, however, loved it. He listened to it whenever he got a chance. He liked driving around town with his parents, because then he could insert the cd into the van’s player. He liked to see it spin around and around endlessly.
One day, the boy’s father gave the boy a present; his old cd player. His father never used it, and now the boy could listen to music whenever he wanted. He was overjoyed. He kept the cd spinning.
Every day, the boy would listen to the cd. He listened to it from the moment he got home, to the very last second before he went to bed. He loved the cd very much, because it reminded him of his father’s love for him.
After some time, the boy had a birthday party, and got a large sum of money from various guests. With it, he could buy something he’d wanted for years; a phone. His parents refused. What did he need a phone for? He should spend his money on something else more useful.

The boy found many uses for a phone; he could go online, talk to his friends, play games and listen to music. Listen to music? His father pointed to the cd player, with the cd still spinning in it. It worked fine, and the boy loved it. There was no need to get a phone.
The boy was stubborn, and asked his parents every day. Eventually, he wore them down and bought a phone. It could do everything he wanted, and could play music. Where the cd player was bulky, his phone fit in his pocket. It could hold hundreds of songs, so he wouldn’t need to carry around a cd case. It was so much better, and the boy forgot about his father’s present.
