SQUEAK

The squeaking of the rocking chair was loud during the night as John was rocking away peacefully. However, this didn't last as John heard a loud racket from the barn as well as loud mooing. Getting up from his seat on the old rocking chair, John went inside his house and ran up the stairs to his room to grab his knife.

Grabbing his knife off of his nightstand, John looked down at it and looked at the handle of the knife. The engraving of the bat in the middle of the handle was staring back at him and he could have sworn a small red light flashed in the engraving's eyes.

Running back down the stairs, John opened the door and ran out to the barn where the loud mooing and loud racket had suspiciously stopped. After John had slowly opened the barn door, John saw what can only be called a nightmare. Cows were on the ground with two giant puncture wounds on the sides of their necks and their bodies shriveled up like raisins. In the middle of the barn was another cow, but on top of the cow was a giant brown furred creature, which was the size of an average sized person, that was bent over the cow where it's supposed head was on the cow's neck.

Moving back slowly, John knocked over one of the buckets he used to carry the milk in after milking the cows and caused a loud clang as the bucket hit the ground. The creature's head moved slowly and looked over at John which gave him a clear view of it's bloody face. The face looked like that of a bat's, but with a bigger head to fit it's face. It's giant red eyes fixed themselves onto John and before John knew it the creature opened it's wings and flew at John who froze in his tracks. After John froze, the creature that John could only see as a demon knocked him onto the ground with the strength of a bull. The last thing John had saw was the fangs of the demon-like creature going down on him as he screamed out for help before blacking out.
