After a powerful wizard enters the Forge - a world designed to test the mettle of heroes, things do not go as planned.  Ullius Oleander is an anomaly, bound by a curse to an enemy and forced to live an obscenely long life until one of the two kills the other. The curse, however, makes him otherwise impossible to kill and completely immune to the consequences of overusing magic. He should be a god, but the world had long forgotten those like him even existed.  Inside the Forge, he feels the spark of freedom and hopes to finally break the curse.  The System has other ideas. As an uninvited guest, he becomes a threat and a thorn in the System's eye, which will do whatever it takes to get rid of him. The challenge, no matter how trivial at first, becomes a nightmare as his power starts to fade, slowly turning him from one of the greatest magicians to a mere peasant.
