The 3 old men were handling the spider beast from a distance as the monks escaped.
They saw that only the 4 of them were left outside, just when they thought of escaping the demon woman opened her eyes. A sinister aura rose to the heavens even though she was still weak from the imprisonment that did not dampen her fighting spirit. Her gaze was as sharp as a sword. The old men cannot let her pass through; they can only fight her to death to give the monks a chance of survival so that the portal can close.
“Long Shen, get into the portal and close it..” shouted the 3 men simultaneously. LS reluctantly entered the portal and just as he was about to close it, he saw a series of pictures on the wall that showed an attacking formation from the inside of the portal to outside of the portal entrance. He immediately went to the wall to study how to activate the attacking formation.
The old men started attacking the Demon with all their might, the demon dodged all their attacks with such agility that they were taken aback, if she in her severely weakened state is this strong how powerful was she when she was at her peak strength!! She extended her hand and her aura formed into a sharp black sword. She then launched forward to attack old man Ji. Old man Ji blocked the attack with his staff. But he was violently kicked in his abdomen. Ol Ji flew and hit the walls of the ruins, Sr. Shen attacked her in the meantime with his sword, Sr. Wong hurled a fireball the size of a bull towards her. The ball hit her on her back and she felt the intense heat burn her skin. Anger burned in her eyes as she started to fight fiercely with Sr. Shen. Sr. Shen was cut several times and started bleeding profusely but the injuries were not life threatening. Old man Ji dragged Sr. Shen aside and fed him healing pills only then did the bleeding stop.
Sr Wong started attacking the demon woman with his fire staff and fire martial arts. Old man JI also joined the attack, the battle seemed to be a stalemate with no one having an upper edge. Suddenly the demon woman rushed towards the spider and placed her hand on its head. The spider started to visibly shrink and it faded into dust shortly afterwards. The sinister aura became even more intense and the aura started to prick their skin like pins of needles. After absorbing the life force of the spider, the demon woman’s attacks became more powerful. The 3 old men were restricting her attacks in a defensive formation that resembled a tortoise’s shell encapsulating her from 3 corners.

LS remembered the incantations for the attack formation, he jumped out of the portal and activated the formation outside and urged the formation to attack the demon woman. The formation glowed in a golden brilliance and shot a ray at the demon, it shattered the defensive formation that was keeping her confined and struck her heart. The demon woman started screaming and looked at LS with Murderous eyes, this soul burning pain was due to the formation awakened by the kid, she had a flash of malice in her eyes as she formed a seal with her hands to activate a soul binding technique of the royal demons so that the kid could also experience the intense pain. She locked Long Shen with her soul locking technique and performed the forbidden spell to bind their souls. Long Shen and the Demon woman’s souls started merging, as they initiated the merge the pain of the woman got transferred to Long Shen, he started screaming hysterically, the pain was un imaginable but he has already experienced similar pain the cage for 7 days straight, hence he could barely keep his sanity and stare at her. The old men could not do anything as the entire forbidden spell was casted in a flash and they were already late by the time they realised what had happened. Long Shen only had limited Qi in his body as he was young, he could not sustain this kind of soul merging pain for long, after what felt like a day of the soul merge, his qi and mental energy was exhausted and he released the formation hand signs. The formation shot a final ray of light encapsulating the demon woman in Long Shen’s soul space. As they have already merged a part of their souls, she was not rejected by Long Shen’s soul space. Long Shen collapsed due to exhaustion. The demon woman was barely holding on to her consciousness trying to stay awake and observe the strange space she got transported to, The soul space is vast with darkness after some walk for a few hours. The woman is currently at the centre of soul space which is filled with light and qi. After making sure she was safe, her nerves relaxed and she fell into a slumber.
The monks got LS back into the ruins and closed the gateway to protect themselves from the onslaught of the beast tide. A few days passed and with the monks' care LS became better and woke up.
