Three sleepless nights and tonight is the fourth night she's up, she refreshes the news site again, no news from Ashein, but this did not relieve her down or a comforting feeling. Everything is deep into the darkness.
She hasn't been able- no, she's not allowed to sleep. Maybe she would miss news about a murder incident in Cryspus or Ashein. They are still haunting her. She couldn't see, but she knows there is one outside to wait for a perfect moment to kill her.
This place, she thinks, could be the last place where she can see the moonlight for the last time before the wolf comes and slaughters her into small pieces. She has locked herself inside this hotel room in Cvetko St. She should run somewhere else and not hiding in a hotel room.
She is still working on her laptop; it has been one thirty in the morning. She couldn't feel her fingers anymore, her eyes blurred as her throat sore because of the energy drinks. How many cans did she drink today? Ten? Twenty? Maybe forty, she doesn't care anymore. As long as Mevy's authority to grant her permission to stay longer in Cryspus, and protected by the local force under the Secured Policy For Refugees in Cryspus or SPFRC.
The letters she wrote on her laptop danced in front of her eyes. Though she can write the letter tomorrow morning and no one will read it right now, she knew it would be no longer tomorrow for her. She was racing with time. No time for dancing! Now or never!
Lucky has not been with her. Someone opened the door and walked in. Startled, she got up and rushed into the corner of the room, hoping the darkness would protect her. She knew it wasn't the hotel staff, nor the local force. She wanted to call for help, but forty energy drinks left her unable to say a word. Heavy breaths, weak heartbeats, eyes slowly diminishing. All she can do now is pray, pray for a miracle or god protect her from the coming wolf.
But no one could hear her, no one.

Beaten to death by a large and hard object. The murderer broke the skull and disrupted the victim's jaw. Incisor and wisdom teeth are broken, some even ejaculated out of the victim's mouth. Looking at the face and body, this is a woman, 30 years old or so and hasn't slept in days. It critically devastated her skin, especially on her eyelids.
I looked carefully at the part of her finger and found a bit of blood on her fingernail, I'm not sure if it's the blood of the victim because it looks like it's been dry a long time. I thought for a while and then got up. Look for a pair of gloves to check it out.
I left room 402 and walked across the hallway. There are quite a few local police officers right here, Vilhelm was trying to gather the little remaining information of this unfortunate woman. There's not really much information about her identity. Just knowing that in hotel staff testimony, she never opened the window, always locked the door and would be angry when someone entered the room without her permission…
Depression? A divorce and then the husband wants revenge? Debt? This was more difficult than I thought because a member of VSIU would never be at a crime scene, and it was our first mission to solve a case. Why would a husband kill his wife so brutally, if it were for marriage? If he wants to kill her, breaking her skull and deflecting her jaw is unacceptable and inhumane.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
As for autism... It doesn't explain why she did it. There's no way she hit her head against the wall with a force like that…
Debt? It sounds quite reasonable if she borrowing a vast amount of money from someone or from a gang of criminals and hasn't paid off in a long time. In Mevy province, only "The Sabors" are active, they are quite strong. So if the police put them in sight, I wouldn't be surprised.
I walk to the hall, Vilhelm is there, I walk over to him and take out a pair of gloves:
Vilhelm: "Found anything yet?" He asked. Hands me a cup of dark coffee.
I grab the coffee and take a sip before speaking. "The victim was beaten to death with a large, hard object, it is unclear what it was."
Vilhelm: "Oh… Hmm…," he frowned, putting his fingers under his chin and thinking.
-"And you?"
Vilhelm: "Not much… The victim's name is Monika Zaoralová, according to information provided by the hotel."
I slowly nod and look outside the window. "She's 30 years old," exactly what I thought. "But there is something weird…"
-"What?" I look at him.
Vilhelm: "The staff said Monika showed them her passport instead of her ID card."
I was surprised at Vilhelm's statement and put down the coffee cup. Show passport instead of ID? But that is completely legal in Cryspus. "Did they keep it?"
Vilhelm: "Yes, here is it."
Vilhelm handed me the passport of Cryspus. The red cover of the passport is the symbol of the country. I examine it, then open it up to check the victim's information. Just what Vilhelm said. The victim's name is Monika Zaoralová, 30 years old, female:
Vilhelm: "Oh, and there is something you should know."
-"What?"
Vilhelm: "In the testimony of the staff at the reception and the other witnesses who saw the victim, they said Monika had a strange behaviour."
I frowned. "What do you mean by strange?"
Vilhelm: "They said she kept looking around, speaking pretty fast and sputtering, causing a lot of difficulties for staff, like someone was watching her from behind, and kept their distance from everyone, including the bellman. Besides, for four days, no one saw her leave the room any longer. She stayed in the room, even called the hotel staff to bring food."
Look around? Talk fast and sputter? Feeling being watched from behind? Keep distance? This is not a sign of autism. Did Monika actually borrow an enormous amount of money from The Sabors? Most likely one of them had swarmed here to spy on the victim and murdered her after four days of surveillance. But who?
-"Keep investigating the staff and whoever has seen her, no matter who, investigate until you get additional evidence," I emphasise my word and walk away.
Vilhelm: "Alright chief, I got you."
Or is it possible that Monika is carrying a virus that has not been discovered yet? This theory may partly explain the reason the victim stayed in the room for four days straight and did not interact with anyone or anything outside the room. Then, a certain organization discovered and killed her to cover the clue related to the virus. Although every purpose of verified organizations from the government in Cryspus is for the people, it is not for this that I can ignore it.
On the way to room 402, I did not meet anyone with strange signs of illness. From the police to the guest, even myself, who has come into contact with the body, still feels well and shows no signs of illness.
Igor Janík, sergeant of the Mevy Special Police Department, a specialist in analysis and investigating cases. He's here today because he thinks it's a special case and needs a detailed investigation. It's true, Slawoj Dundar in particular and Mevy never had such a serious case, especially a woman with very little information to leave.
There are so many questions going on in my head and so few of them- no, none of them have ever had a complete answer. The knowledge I read in my spare time books has helped me a little more of these times. And that little red haired girl said that the book was nothing but a boring line of letters.
No more nonsense, let's get started:
-"O, Nuheia, forgive me for my filthy acts and let this poor woman's soul bathe in the Mateja stream."
I mumble before walking into the room and examine her body.
