Part 1:
As the vast expanse of time stretches into billions of years into the future, the cosmos has shifted and the Andromeda galaxy teeters on the edge of merging with the Milky Way, an event of unimaginable proportions. The descendants of humanity, unrecognizable from its early stages, have diverged into countless subspecies through the intertwined paths of evolution and technological advancement, exploring new aspects of existence. Among these new forms of life is a unique variant of humanity that has moved beyond constructs such as sex or gender, evolving past the need for subjective labeling, partnership, and reproduction. In this era of expansive galactic exploration, we find Kairos, one such human variant, embarking on a journey to uncover their ontological essence.
While far removed from such histories, they are named after the Ancient Greek deity symbolizing the right or opportune moment, and seek understanding amidst the dark dance of colliding galaxies. Drawing inspiration from the eons-old myths of nebulae and the tale of Andromeda, they are mysteriously drawn to the enigmatic entity known as the “Opener of the Way,” “The Key and The Gate,” “The All-Encompassing,” a series of trifling titles for Yog-Sothoth. This being, said to watch all from the court of its kin at the center of everything, beckons Kairos with the promise of ultimate truth.
Part 2:
With ancient lore as their map and the arcane as their compass, Kairos's journey takes them to the dark heart of the approaching Andromeda, close to the chaotic maelstrom where the two galaxies meet. On a shadow-shrouded moon circling a planet veiled in darkness, they come face to face with the ethereal spawn of Yog-Sothoth. These entities, existing beyond the confines of known physics, manifest as mists of dark purple, presenting a tableau of eldritch horror that sends shivers through the soul.

The dark planet, silent and foreboding, becomes the backdrop for their moment of revelation. Amidst ancient ruins, Kairos finds a strange artifact, an obsidian mirror of terrifying proportions with swirling mists that reflect the moon's enveloping darkness. Even from a distance, it is within this mirror that they glimpse the unimaginable: the court of Outer Gods, a vision that tantalizes with the promise of truth yet threatens to undo their very essence.
Part 3:
As they gaze into the obsidian depths, the spawn of Yog-Sothoth, their forms wreathed in the dark purple mists of the unknown, emerge in our physical reality. Caught in a struggle against the nightmarish sights now made manifest, Kairos seeks escape from the relentless spawn that draw them ever closer to the mirror and the terrifying truth it harbors.
Within the spinning court, viewed through the Erebian device, they behold Yog-Sothoth in its bewildering entirety. A sight that transcends human understanding, even one far more advanced and intelligent than the ones of old. In a whirlwind of glowing eyes, roiling tentacles, unfathomable terror, and sublime beauty, the layers of Kairos’s consciousness are peeled away, leaving them adrift in the vast, indifferent universe.
Kairos’s quest for understanding the nature of existence concludes with a dire epiphany: life, in its endless forms and complexities, is but a fleeting melody in the eternal symphony orchestrated in the court of the Outer Gods. Marooned on the dark moon, their mind and identity undone by the sight of Yog-Sothoth, Kairos wanders aimlessly, a cautionary tale of the pursuit of knowledge and the existential dangers it entails—a twisted reflection of humanity’s endless quest to comprehend the nature of its own being.
