After communications between the United Colonial Government and the Greater Martian Authority broke down, violence on a scale previously unseen before erupted across the entirety of Mars, starting the Hellyer Rebellion. Now, five years into the conflict, the UCG is nearing the completion of its controversial "Peace At All Costs Protocol" legislation and stands ready to declare all-out war against the entirety of the planet in order to bring it back into the galactic fold. In an effort to avoid this bloodshed, the UCG's leadership have approved Operation Thunderhead: a covert, multi-pronged strike against a strategic military and infrastructural target within the GMA's area of influence. With so much riding on the success of the operation, the UCG has earmarked one of its elite special operations forces to complete the task: Hvítr Company.
