Lillie was from the forest. I was from the mountain. My life was simple in comparison to hers, yet it never bothered me throughout our years of growing closer. I was a Teragane, living in an isolated colony on Mt. Hira and abiding by the rules of the Sage that had our people live apart from those without wings. Yet, as I grew older, my feelings for Lillie did as well. But something was changing–something was happening to Lillie in the forest that was causing her to fade away. Little did I know that the strength I was building to save my young love from also fading away would be utilized in ways beyond my understanding.
