Synopsis
A hero is summoned to another world in order to fulfill an ancient prophey and slay an ancient evil. Utilizing a system that seems very similar to RPG's on his own earth, he can utilize his new powers to grow and evolve in order to do battle against hordes of enemies and a villainous presence that the armies of this new world are powerless against.Unfortunately, the wrong person answered the summons....
Some main characters are overpowered. Some have elaborate backstories where they overcame all odds to survive. Some are unparallelled geniuses who can turn any disadvantage around and overcome seeingly insurmountable odds. Some are able to overcome obstacles by sheer virtue of willpower.
Colton is not one of those heroes. If you have ever played an RPG, and three hours into it realized that you messed up character creation so much so that your progress is stunted, or accidentally angered one or more NPC's who were supposed to provide you important quests or valuable, then you will be familiar with the sort of hero Colton is.
Hopefully funny (obviously such a thing is very subjective), this is not a book that seeks to be edgy for edginess' sake. There are no harems, no invincible young masters, and no breaking through obstacles simply by being able to overcome indescribable levels of pain. There will be some swearing and the main character might occassionally be a bit of a prick, but this is because they're a bad hero, not an anti-hero.
