A thousand years after the heavens had fallen to the demons of hell, the world was populated only by what few sanctuaries remained from the era before the fall. Demons ran rampant in the world to lay claim to any who tried to expand their borders. Few could remember the era where humanity had fought as equals and held power lent through the guardians known as angels. After the fall of the heavens, this power was all but lost. After the fall of power, this civilization was all but lost. After the fall of civilization, this world was all but lost. With the extinction of angels, the humans of the world could no longer use the magic they had relied on for eons. No longer could they stand a chance against the demons of the world. The gate was closed and no mortal could ever open it again. But the angels had a plan. Their extinction was a given. They would not survive nor be ressurected. But they could make a seed for a new one. One with a chance, however small, to let humanity take steps outside of the domes they had been pushed back to. Adriel lived in a world without magic and wished to transfer her mind to a new body to save her life. But just because a world cannot sense the lines of mana and magic does not mean it is not ever present. Now she is in a new body on a new world with no idea what has happened. Adriel will need to learn who she is and how to harness the power of heavens in order to save the world. Though, first she should probably learn how to survive at all in the plains of hell. First story. Looking to just get some general feedback right now. I may or may not post more updates past chapter 5 (What I have written already at my initial upload to royal road) depending on how motivated I am able to get in the future.
